Sub-Head:- Laying, jointing & testing of Rising Main Excavation in foundation and trenches ( For pipes and pits ) up to all depths in all classification of earth work such as pick work ,jumper work ,saturated soil including bailing or pumping out water ,blasting soft/hard rock or chiseling soft/hard rock where blasting is prohibited in all lifts including trimming & dressing of sides, leveling of beds to correct grade i/c shoring /strutting ,planking ,timbering & dewatering wherever required ,stacking the usable & unusable material /soil separately & after laying ,jointing & testing of pipes ,returning the useable soil in trenches in 15 cm ,layers including consolidating of such deposited layer by ramming & watering & then deposing of all surplus excavated soil / unusable material as directed with in all leads and lifts including restoration of unmetalled surfaces to its original condition and including cost of diversion for traffic , night signals ,fixing caution boards ,crossing over trenches for access to houses ,fencing etc. including jungle clearing, uprooting of rank, vegetation, grass bursh wood, trees and sapling of all girth/ depth complete in all respects with in all lead and lifts as per direction & satisfaction of Engineer - in - charge.

Laying, jointing & testing in trenches to be levelled to grades, BIS marked GI pipes conforming to BIS:1239 ( latest with up to date amendments ) of following dia ( Medium class ) duly flanged after every 5th pipe with intermediate butt welded joints including the cost of flanges, bends of required degree, tee/ short pieces made from parent tubes of different degrees cutting , welding & jointing with flanges conforming to table as specified below of BIS:6392 ( latest with up date ammendments ) two layers on both faces welded as per BIS:816 ( latest with up date ammendments ) with electrodes conforming to BIS 814 (latest with up date ammendments ) & provided with nuts & bolts BIS 1369 (latest with up date ammendments) of required sizes, 4.80 mm thick ( Champion make ) compressed asbestos fiber gasket or synthetic rubber gaskets conforming to BIS 2712 (latest with up date ammendments ) & approved specification as per site conditions including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete to respect with in all leads and lifts as per the direction and satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.

The type & make will be subject to approval of HPSEB authorities . In case of non acceptance by HPSEB authorities it shall have to be replaced by the tender free of cost. Providing and laying of double loop earthing with copper plate 600x600 x3mm thick electrode complete with material such as charcoal ,common salt ,G.I. pipe ,thimbles ,nuts and bolts .digging of pits ,G.I. wiring & 25x5 mm thick copper sterips of required capacity conforming to BIS 3043-1987 latest with up to date amendements for above motors and other electrical equipment.

Supply & Errection of floor / wall mounted power factor shunt capacitor conforming to BIS : 2834-1986 latest with upto date amendements L & T / BHEL/ GEC/ Machneil /Mager / Bajaj make to raise the prevailing power factor at site to 0.95 for direct connection to induction motor individually of required KVAR according to HP of motor offered including cable siemens/Gloste/ICC make form busbar chamber to capacitor and also including L&T/LK/Kilburn make ICTP Switches conforming to BIS-4064-1978 or latest with HRC fuses.

Laying of column assembly of 65 mm dia G.I pipe confirming to BIS: 1239 considering site requirement duly flanged at every 3 metre length with flanges conforming to BIS - 6392-1971/ BIS 1239 ( Table -5 ) including tapers , flanges , rubber , gasket 3mm thick as per BIS -2712-1978 , nuts & boult as per 1364-1983 & specials up to collection tank as per direction of Engineer in Charge as per layout approved by Engineer -in-charge .The pipe shall be capable of with standing 1.5 times the total pressure indicated in item No. 1 (xii ) ( The size of pipe shall be suppling by the tenderer ) NOTE :- Actual laying to be done as per final drawings to be approved by the Enginbeer-in- charge.

The pipe sizes for suction & delivery shall be as per the requirement of offered pump and common header shall be equal to dia of R/Main duly flanged at every 3 metre length with flanges conforming to BIS - 6392-1971/ BIS 1239 ( Table -17 ) including cost of tapers, flanges , bends, rubber gasket, 3mm thick as per BIS -2712-1978 , nuts & boult as per 1364-1983 & specials up to 5 mtr away from the outer wall of pump house as per direction of Engineer in Charge as per layout drawing approved by Engineer -in-charge .The pipe shall be capable of with standing 1.5 times the total pressure indicated in item No. 1 (xii ) ( The size of pipe shall be suppling by the tenderer ) NOTE :- Actual laying to be done as per final drawings to be approved by the Enginbeer-in- charge.
