Replacement of Damaged Rock Hopper and structurals in Boat Basin Area , FACT-CD

Dismantling of Damaged Rock Hopper in Boat Basin Area: Collection of required materials from FACT -CD stores / plant area and transport to the work site. Make required site arrangements for the work. Existing damaged rock hopper shall be dismantled/ removed as per instruction of officer-in-charge to meet the site requirement.Temporary supports if required shall be done. Any damaged structurals shall be done. Damaged hopper shall be transported to scrap yard / area earmarked as per the instruction from site in charge.

Patch/Repair/Modification Works on Spare Rock Hopper with MS plate : Collection and transportation of MS Plates [8mm/10mm thk.] and required materials from CD-Stores. Patch / repair / modification works on spare Rock hopper shall be done properly to meet the site requirement. Cutting, shaping / bending and fixing of new plates shall be done after the removal of existing damaged MS plates. Any modification on the hopper/extension of discharge chute to suit the site conditions shall be done.Proper full welding and grinding shall be done as per the instruction of Officer incharge to suit the site condition.

Replacement of damaged Structurals Collection and transportation required materials and consumables from store. Make required site arrangements for the work. Damaged structural supports shall be cut and removed. New structurals shall be cut to required dimension and fit up to be done as per site instruction to accomodate new hopper. Replaced structurals shall be full welded. After replacement work all temporary supports shall be removed. Damaged structurals shall be taken to scrap yard.

Erection of Spare Rock Hopper in Boat Basin Area: Collect required tools and tackles required for the work. Make required site arrangements for the work. Repaired hopper shall be transported to work site. Transportation & safe handling will be under contractor scope. New hopper shall be erected properly as per the instruction of the Officer - in -Charge. Erected hopper shall be properly positioned and aligned as per site requirement. Hopper tie in joints shall be full welded. After completion of work temporary structurals shall be removed and site shall be cleared.

Cleaning & Painting: Cleaning the Hopper & structural surafces neatly mechanical cleaning to remove the whole accumulated rust, dirt & dust etc. as per instruction of Officer-in-charge. Replaced hopper (inside and outside) and the structurals shall be painted with two (02) coats of zinc chromate yellow primer of approved make/quality and two (02) coats of synthetic enamel paint of distinct colours of approved make/quality.The structural steel after transporting from store to worksite shall be immediately be cleaned and first coat primer shall be applied. The structurals after fabrication and erection shall be applied with second coat of zinc chromate yellow primer after necessary cleaning at all heights.Two coats of synthetic enamel paint of distinct colours shall be applied one after the other after giving sufficient curing time after each coat applied at all elevations. Any area inaccessible after erection shall be painted beforehand. All costs incurred in painting including cost of paints, primers, painting equipments, cleaning equipment, handling charges, scaffolding and any other incidental expenses will be under contractor's scope.

Fabrication and Replacement of R3 conveyor Drive End Chute in Boat Basin: Collection and transportation of MS Plates [6mm/8mm thk.] and required materials from CD-Stores. Existing damaged R3 Conveyor Drive end platform chute shall be dismantled/ removed as per instruction of Officer-in-charge. Necessary support shall be provided to the bin on top platform. Fabrication shall be done as per the dimension of the dismantled chute. Cutting, shaping / bending and fixing of new MS plates shall be done suitably for fabrication of new chute. New fabricated chute shall erected properly to meet site requirement as per the instructionof the Officer - in -Charge. Damaged chute shall be transported to scrap yard / area earmarked as per the instruction from site in charge.
