Cutting and removal of old tarfelt bitumen layer including demolising of avg 150mm thick plastered brick bat work on roof, expansion joints etc with mechnical means like chipper or cutter is to be used for the work and no hammering action more than 2 pound should be used for this purpose. Dismatling,removal and stacking the debris and surface shall be cleaned neatly of all mortar droppings, loose materials etc with brooms,wire brush & air pressure and dispose the same within 1km from site as directed and specified by EIC
Providing and applying two or more coats of heavy duty acrylic waterproofing compound (Dr.Fixit, Fosroc or other equivalent) including providing & applying a coat of waterproofing primer on mother concrete slab/plastered surface including sealing of cracks with crack sealier compounds along with preparation of suface as per notes given under :
A) Surface must be throughly cleaned of all laitance,all mortar droppings, loose materials,dust,vegetable growth,oil greese etc.mechanical means such as wire brushing & water jet etc can be used. Filling local dipressions wherever required with 1:2:4/Cement mortar 1:3 guaged with approved water proofing compound after applying a bond coat.
B)All suface cracks up to 5mm width should be filled with crack sealer compounnd in V shape groove.
C)Dilute the primer with water in proportion of 2:1( 2 parts primer : 1 part water) or as recommended by manufacturer and stir well until a uniform consistency is achieved. Then, apply a single coat of primer and allow it to dry for 4 to 5 hours before apply finish coat.
D) Apply the first coat of acrylic waterproofing compound without any dilution at the coverage of not less than 2 sqm per litre and allow it to dry before applying the second coat.The rate of application being the same. Drying time between each coats will be 6 to 8 hours.
Providing and laying intergral water proofing treatment over two & more coat of heavy duty acryalic waterproofing compund (Dr.Fixit, Fosroc or other equvalent) of average thickness 120mm and minimum 65mm at khurra including all tools tackels, material and manpower for preparation of surface and follwing the steps as under-
A) Surface must be throughly cleaned of all laitance,loose materail,dust,vegetable growth,oil greese etc.mechanical means such as wire brushing & water jet etc can be used. Filling local dipressions wherever required with 1:2:4/Cement mortar 1:3 guaged with approved water proofing compound after applying a bond coat.
B) Injecting/grouting the roof slab as required with material including cement and approved water proofing compound (Dr.Fixit,Fosroc or other equvalent ) solution to fill up all inherent holes, voids, honeycombs etc.
C) The whole surface so finished after filling up of pits, repairing of cracks with including crack sealer compound (Dr.fixit, Fosroc or equivalent) in V shape grooves and voids etc. surface shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of 7 days for testing and identification of seepage. In case of any seepage rectify the roof slab again and test it for seven days. Repeat it untill roof gets waterproofed.
D) Fix the rain water pipes(down comers) properly in place. (installation of Rain water pipes to be paid under separate item)
E) Supply and Dilute the primer with water in proportion of 2:1( 2 parts primer : 1 part water) or as recommended by manufature and stir well until a uniform consistency is achieved.apply a single coat of primer and allow it to dry for 4 to 5 hours before apply finish coat.
F) Supply and apply the first coat of acrylic waterproofing compound without any dilution at the coverage of not less than 2 sqm per litre and allow it to dry before taking up the second . The rate of application being the same. Drying time between each coats will be 6 to 8 hours.
G) Supply and apply a coat of jointless neat slurry of cement admixture with water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by EIC over the RCC slab including adjoining walls up to height of 300mm and expansion joints at a rate not less than 2.75 Kg/sqm area .
H) Supplying and laying autoclaved aerated light weight block bats with mortal using broken bats 25mm to 115mm size with 50% of cement mortar 1:5(cement : coarse sand ) admixed with layer water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by EIC over 20mm thick jointless layer of well level cement Plaster of mix 1:5(cement:coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by EIC to required slope including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs.Proper compaction is to be done during this process to prevent water ingress into this layer.
I) After 7 days of proper curing (by flooding the area with water by making 2" high bunds such that whole surface remain wet during the curing period), supply and apply a second coat of jointless neat slurry of cement admixture with water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by EIC over the RCC slab including adjoining walls up to a height of 300mm and expansion joints a rate not less than 2.75 Kg/sqm area.
J) Supply of material and finishing the surface with 20mm thick jointless layer of cement mortal of mix 1:4(Cement:course sand)admixed with water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by EIC mixing polyster fiber as approved by EIC including laying glass fibre cloth of approved quality in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface by trowel with neat cement slurry and making pattern of 300X300mm sqr and 3mm deep.Slope ,rain water pipes and finishing should be such that no water logging should be there on the roof.
K) The whole surface so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of two weeks for curing and for testing.
L) It may please be noted that the contractor shall execute Guarantee bond in the prescribed form (on stamp paper of Rs. 100/- minimum or as directed by EIC) of the department for a period of Ten years for leak proof function of the structures wherever this waterproofing item is executed.
Providing and laying in position specified grade of cement concrete, including the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement - All work up to plinth level :1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-III) : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size)
Providing, mixing and applying SBR polymer (of approved make) modified Cement mortar average 12mm thick in proportion of 1:4 (1 cement: 4 graded coarse sand with polymer minimum 2% by wt. of cement used) as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge. Note: Measurement and payment: The pre-measurement of thickness shall be done just after the surface preparation is completed and Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding / tapping with a blunt metal instrument and/or the 75mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28 days to be not less than 30 N/sqmm2).
Constructing brick masonry (Class designation 7.5 ) in cement mortar 1:6 at all heights including providing scaffolding, curing etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer in charge.
Dismantling C.I. or P.V.C rain water pipe with fittings and clamps including scaffolding etc & stacking the material within 50 metres lead 100 mm dia pipe as per the specifications and as directed by EIC.
Providing and fixing on wall face unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion single socket pipe 110 mm diameter and clamping (top,middle & bottam) with wall including scaffolding etc all complete as per the specifications and as directed by EIC.
Providing and fixing on wall face unplasticised - PVC moulded fittings/accessories for unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion.
