Excavation in foundation trenches etcetera in earth work by mechanical/manual means in all type of classification of soil such as pick work, jumper work, pick jumper work, blasting work, jumper blasting work, soft and hard blasting and doing work in saturated soil, including chiseling or wedging out rocks where blasting work is prohibited or any other mixed variety of soil, including shoring, strutting, de-watering and pumping or bailing out water (surface and sub soil water) upto any depths or any quantum of water including slush which may arise during de-watering, removal of slush and stacking the excavated soil clear from the edge of excavation within all leads, as directed by Engineer-in- charge and then returning the stacked soil in 15cm (Fifteen centimeter) layers, when required into plinths and sides of foundation etcetera consolidating each deposited layer by ramming, watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated earth as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, within all leads, and lifts disposed earth to be levelled and neatly dressed including carriage of materials within all leads and lifts and other incidental charges. Providing and applying a coat of residual petroleum bitumen of grade of VG-10 (VG-ten) of approved quality using 1.7kg (One point seven kilogram) per square metre on damp proof course after cleaning the surface with brushes and finally with apiece of cloth lightly soaked in kerosene oil as per approved drawing, design and specifications and as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge, including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts and other incidental Charges.
