Road Formation

Excavation for road way in soil with Dozer including cutting and pushing the earth to site of embankment upto a distance of 1000 metres, including trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections. The rate is inclusive of sectioning, as per the grades and cross sections all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) for road formation in layers not exceeding 20 cm in depth, consolidating with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity under optimum moisture conditions to give at least 95% of the maximum dry density, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and re-rolling the sub grade and disposal of surplus earth with lead upto 1.50 km. The rate is inclusive of re rolling the sub grade to the level, all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.

Hollow block masonry using pre cast blocks ( Factory made) of size 40x20x15cm or nearest available size confirming to IS 2185 part 1 of 1979 for trench wall below road level and plinth with thickness 15cm in: CM 1:6 ( 1 cement : 6 coarse sand ) etc complete. The rate inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.

Plastering with cement mortar 1:6(1 cement & 6 sand) 12mm thick one coat floated hard and trowelled smooth for inside and outside walls including cost and conveyance of all materials to site, labour charges, hire charges for scaffolding, watering for curing, etc. complete. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.

Laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregate of specified sizes to WBM specifications in uniform minimum thickness of 350mm, hand picking, rolling with 3 wheeled road/ vibratory roller 8-10 tonne capacity in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening / binding material to fill up interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level: 1:5:10 (1 cement : 5 fine sand : 10 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size). The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.

PVC WEEP HOLES- Providing weep holes using 75mm dia. PVC pipes working pressure 4kg /sq.cm including cost of materials, conveyance, labour charges etc. complete. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.

Providing and applying tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of grade VG - 10, including heating the bitumen, spraying the bitumen with mechanically operated spray unit fitted on bitumen boiler, cleaning and preparing the existing road surface as per specifications : On W.B M. @ 0.75 kg/ sqm. (Minimum Average thickness of 35 Cm) The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.
