Laying of S&T Cables (Signal/Quad/Power) in Kilometre the excavated trench to Drawing No. CON/SK/T/5 or latest. Supply and transportation of 'U' clamps, anchoring of cable at every 10 metres interval with 'U' clamp on trench to Drawing No. CSTE/CON /CABLES/81 or latest. Supply, transportation, and placing of cable demarcating led belt to Drawing No. CON/SK/T/6 or latest punched at an interval of 30 metres and wrapped round each cable throughout the cable route and also at every track/Road/ platform crossing as above specified in Technical Circular No. 2/1988 & 01/2010 issued by CSTE/ SER or as per latest guidelines and guarding the cables. Collecting empty drums with left over cable and to be returned to the stores of stock holder. Note: Cables will be meggered before & after its laying by contractor under supervision of Railway representative & Contractor will submit their reports.
Supply & laying of 300 mm X 100 mm pre- Metre cast/cast in -situ RCC cable ducts including top cover as per RDSO drawing No. SDO/S&T/RCC DUCT/1018/1 & 2, dated 29.5.23 or latest. Note- The rate is inclusive of all type of transportation including labour till it is placed into trenches. The laying of cables shall be paid separately fulfilling the laying procedure as per above drawings. (Inspection by representative of Sr. DSTE/CKP)
Transportation of cables in rolls with or Drum-Km without wooden drums (S and T Cables) from concerned store to the site of works. Note: The unit Drum-KM indicates Drum X length of cable in that drum. It doesn't have any significance over the distance it has to be carried for execution of the work.
Cement Concrete of proportion 1:3:6 (Cement: cum Sand: Stone chips of 25mm nominal size) for miscellaneous works. It includes excavation, ramming of CC by using vibrator, curing and plastering with cement and sand mixture (aggregate will not exceed beyond 3.8 cm). Note: All materials required for foundation are to be supplied by the contractor.
Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Set SMPS based Integrated Power Supply System as per Specification No. RDSO/SPN/165 / 2023 Ver. 4.0, Amdt.1 or latest and conforming to SE Railway Drawing No.SK/DRG/OL/SER/237, dated 16.09.2011. CKP-DIVN- S AND T/SOUTH EASTERN RLY
Transportation, grouting and laddering of Set Integrated Power Supply (IPS) System including laying & termination of power & signalling cables through ladder on Hylam sheet, fixed on MS angle, by contractor on wall in panel/IPS room of adequate size, painting & lettering. Note: Transportation of batteries, electrolyte, bolts & nuts, screws, trough etc. and other sundry materials required for the above work shall be supplied by the contractor as required for commissioning. The IPS to be commissioned by the OEM.SPD to be fixed maximum 0.5 mtrs from MEEB as per Latest RDSO TAN.
Alteration Modification, cable termination, Numbers wiring, testing & commissioning of existing Integrated power supply panel as per approved power supply diagram and specification. The contactor has to supply drawings in tracing paper in the format supplied by railways.
Execution of Full Apparatus Case with earth Numbers excavation for pit, concrete foundation, surrounding earth work, erection and installation as per Drawing No. Con/SK/T/8 or latest and wiring to be done as per SEM Drawing No.19-D8 or as per direction of site engineer. Supply and fixing of Hylam sheet strip of appropriate size of 3 mm or 6 mm as required with hole for fixing of terminals, fuse blocks, relay and other accessories for signal/track circuit, termination of cable with number embossed ferrules, bunching of cables with PVC tape, proper soldering of cable armour with earth catenary wire, earthing of cable armour as required. Writing & terminal description including Painting of the apparatus case inside and outside after clearing the surface thoroughly and first coating of anticorrosive paint and subsequent two coats of Aluminium paint outside and red oxide inside and lettering etc. This also includes transportation of 25 mm/12mm Hylam sheet for shelf or as required and also includes minor modification in L/Boxes as per site requirement.
Excavation of earth pit, placing & fixing of Numbers Earth electrode with construction of cement enclosure to SEM Drawing No. 19-D6 and drawl of 6 SWG GI/Copper cable from earth electrode to goomties/relay room/cabin/station, etc. and drawl of MS flat 35mm x 6mm for signal post/Location box shall be used as the case may be, including fixing at both ends of the wire/MS flat. This includes transportation of materials. Note: Materials such as charcoals, salt, sal ammoniac, 6 SWG GI wire, copper lugs with Steel bolts & nuts etc. shall be supplied by the contractor. Execution of Straight joint on Quad cable/ jelly Numbers filled Telecom cable using Thermo- shrink/Universal jointing kit (RTSF). This includes excavation of cable joint pit of size 1.5 m X 1.5 m X 1.2 m for jointing of cables, back filling and ramming after jointing. After jointing, the cable through test such as insulation test, continuity test etc. to be carried out jointly with Railway Engineer. If any defect or any damage is observed during jointing the contractor has to redo the joint free of cost. Note: In case jointing is required to be done in the Location boxes, then 80% payment will be released.

The work includes fixing of aluminium/steel/M. S ladder along with supply as per requirement to accommodate additional plug board, relays, terminals/blocks, terminals, tag blocks, fuses, transformers, bus bars, TW shelves/strips etc. in the existing relay racks/CTR's, 6 mm Hylam sheets of required length for writing terminal description etc. fixing and termination of cables on the relay racks, CTR's with number embossed ferrules, bunching of cables with PVC tapes, earthing of cable armours, covers including painting and lettering, making anti tilting arrangement. Note:- a) Relay rack (Q- series/ Composite Relay Racks) : Payments for alterations in existing relays upto 20 nos. relays & above 20 nos. shall be made 50% & 100% respectively. b) Cable Termination Racks (CTR):- Payments for alterations in existing CTR upto 120 cores & above 120 nos. cores shall be made 50% & 100% respectively.
Transportation, Grouting/Erection, wiring as Numbers per approved wiring diagram on 19" Relay rack/Composite/Q-Series Relay Rack with subsequent alteration. All materials such as eyelets, Hylam sheets, ferrules, trough etc., if required for modification of rack shall be supplied by the contractor and to be carried out at site with no extra cost to the Railway.

Track/ Pucca road/Platform crossing/ Level crossing as per SEM Drawing No.15-D5 including supply, transportation and laying of DWC pipes (full) with collar(for jointing pipes) Inner diameter/Outer diameter:103mm/120mm to Specification No.14830 (Part-2):2001 as per SEM Drawing No. 15-D4 and drawing of cable through DWC pipes with collar(for jointing pipes) including back filling and ramming after cable laying as specified in Tech. Circular No. 2 of 1988 & 01/2010 issued by CSTE/SER for S&T Cables or any latest guidelines. This includes repairing and plastering of Platform/Pucca road after cable laying.
HDD: In case of short stretches (less than 100 Metre m in single stretch). Micro Tunnelling through Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) machine, preparation of sites, boring and laying of HDPE pipes of size (Outer/Inner diameter= 50mm/42mm) for crossing of S&T cable through HDPE pipe at bridges/culverts/track crossing/pucca road crossing. Boring trench shall be minimum 3 (three) meter below the surface/river bed and minimum 1 m at track/road/pucca road crossing area etc. This includes supply of permanently lubricated HDPE telecom ducts of equal length as per Specification No. RDSO/SPN/TC/45/2013 REVISION 2.0 with latest amendments. For each HDPE duct the following items are to be supplied as per requirement (a) End plug, (b) Cable sealing plugs, (c) Plastic coupler slip fit/push fit type & (d) End plugs to be provided along with drum. In case the site doesn't allow to perform as per schedule, written approval must be obtained from at least site in-charge officer. Note: The boring profile should be recorded and submitted for verification of depth and length of boring. (a) 2 HDPE pipe.
Routing and termination of 25 mm X 2 mm Metre copper tape(BRC)/8 mm solid copper round conductor which is to be fixed inside the equipment room with 60 mm, 6KVA insulation studs including supply of insulation studs. The separation of the two successive insulation studs should be 600mm apart. Note: BRC to be fixed 0.5 mtrs from Room floor as per RDSO/SPN/197 Para 8.5.1(b).all the equipment shall be connected to the nearest point on the BRC using bonding wires routed through the floor of the room. Routing through the floor ensures the shortest path and prevents the earth wire from running parallel to any power/data cables. it is mandatory that a complete close loop has to be formed for BRC.
Designing Interlocking Plan(SIP) in AUTOCAD. Two copies of prints with soft copy will be submitted to Railway for checking. If alterations are suggested/proposed by Railways then again two copies of prints will be submitted for advance approval after carrying out all the alterations as suggested/proposed by the Railways. The control panel shall be networkable to Zonal /Divisional Headquarters preferably over TCP lP/OFC media converterand shall have clock synchronization facility. This schedule includes supply of TCP IP converter/ Networking card/OFC media converter. The control panel shall have provision of Graphical software to enable remote monitoring of entire fire detection and alarm system of a station from Head Quarters. The control panel shall be designed to work on power supply of 110V/230V AC as well as on DC battery backup of adequate capacity to work upto 24 hrs. Backup. The Power supplies like batteries and chargers shall be supplied by the contractor. The Control Panel shall have means for the user to visualize and interact with the complete Automatic Fire Detection and Alarm System layout through a user- friendly software executable on a standard Windows based Personal Computer. It shall be possible to download data and extend alarms from Control Panel through suitable ports like RS485/RS232/USB/TCP/IP into a PC/Laptop available with SSE at the installation and remote location (Divisional Control room) operating on Windows platform. The software for downloading and analysing fault data shall be provided & shall be compatible with the latest windows operating system. Detection, actuation, and control system shall have provision for automatic as well as manual operation. The control panel should have provision to connect a GSM/LTE module duly providing compatible SIM with SMS facility on minimum of 5 numbers (users). Installation of Single Maintenance Free Earth Set pit as per RDSO Drawing No. SDO / RDSO/ E&B /001 which includes the following, a) Digging/Auguring/Boring of single earth pit of 100mm to 125mm dia. to the depth of approx. 3 meter. b) Insertion of 3.0 meter electrode and penetrating it minimum 150 mm by pushing gently with sledge hammer where the natural soil is assumed. (c) Filling of earth pit with Earth Enhancement Compound (EEC) in slurry form and backfilling. (d) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on single earth electrode to a copper tape of 200 x 25 x 6 mm. (e) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on the copper tape of 200 x 25 x 6 mm on Earth Electrode for connecting 4 X 35 Sq. mm cables for redundancy. (f) The CKP-DIVN- S AND T/SOUTH EASTERN RLY exothermic welding material for bonding the earth system shall be procured from RDSO approved firms, which includes graphite modules, clamps, weld metal powders etc. (g) The dimension of the chamber will be of 300 x 300 x 300 mm (inside dimension) of RCC with 50mm thick and fine finish, Inspection chamber should be as per IEC 62561-5 or latest. The top RCC cover size shall be 400 mm X 400 mm X 50mm. The date of testing and earth resistance value shall be written on the cover with black base with yellow paint or as per instruction of site Engineer. Note: Installation should be done as per guidelines given in RDSO TAN No. STS/E/TAN/3006, Ver.3.1, Dated: 25.06.2025 or Latest. (i)All materials used for the installation of the earth system shall be anti-corrosive. The installation of Earthing and Bonding for all S&T installations (EI, PI,RRI, Auto Hut, IBS, LC, Telecom hut etc.) shall be as per Annexure-III (a) or (b) (ii)The procedure of Exothermic welding, as outlined in Annexure-IV shall be followed. (iii)The OEM shall be responsible for complete supply, installation &commissioning of the Earthing & Bonding system. (iv) The Pre- commissioning checklist shall be followed during installation. This has been reiterated by this office letter no. RDSOSIG0EnB(GEN)/1/2020 dt. 18.07.2024 and also included in guidelines for earthing, bonding, surge and lightning protection issued on 01.01.2025. (v)Perimetric/Ring Earthing diagram should be painted on suitable Location on wall as per instruction of Site Engineer. (vi)Work to be executed by OEM & after the installation of Earthing & Bonding system. Warranty of such system shall be 60 months from date of commissioning. (vii) The overall Earth resistance value for the earth connected with MEEB shall be less than 1 ohm. If necessary multiple earth shall be provided in loop to achieve earth resistance less than 1 Ohm. (viii) The distance between two successive earth electrode shall be not less than 3 meter and more than 6 meter. (ix) It is recommended that, multiple earth pits shall be installed around the perimeter of the building. However, at some locations, it may not be possible to form a perimetric earth around the Relay room, Power supply room and Station master room. In such cases, ring earthing arrangements consisting of interconnected multiple earth electrodes may be installed in the available free space as close as possible to the station building. A Sample drawing is attached as Annexure III for reference. (x) Earth pits shall be installed at least one meter away from building wall. (xi) Minimum 20 meter distance should be maintained between electrical and S&T earth. (xii) Sand filling where required and suggested by site Engineer. CKP-DIVN- S AND T/SOUTH EASTERN RLY
Digging a trench to a depth of at least 0.5 Metre meter and run the 4x35 sq. mm ( MEEB to main Earth pit) or 50 mm x 6 mm Galvanised steel tape( one Earth pit to another Earth pit) as per site engineer, earth conductor(4x35 sq. mm) in protective PVC conduit pipe, procured against supply item, from Earth pit to MEEB. Routing and exothermic termination of 4 x 35 sq. mm cable on earth conductors (200mmX25mmX6mm Cu Strip) as well as on 300 mm X 25 mm X 6mm MEEB, which is to be fixed inside the equipment room with two 60mm insulation studs. The 60mm insulation studs have also to be supplied. (As per RDSO TAN No.STS/E/TAN/3006, Ver.3.1, Dated: 25.06.2025 or latest ) Note : (1) there should not be any Loop in Earthing Bonding conductor from MEEB TO Main earth pit. (2) The earth pits shall be interlinked using 50 mm x 6 mm Galvanised steel tape conductor with proper exothermic welding & As per Para 8.4.2 (d) of RDSO/SPN/197 V1.0, the interconnecting conductor (50 mm x 6 mm Galvanised steel tape) shall be buried at a depth of not less than 500 mm below the ground level. This conductor shall also be covered with approximately 30 kg of earth enhancement compound for every 3 meters of its length (procured against supply item).
Routing and connecting of all the SPDs in the Metre equipment room to MEEB/SEEB to MEEB with 16 sq. mm copper cable using copper lugs with stainless steel nut and bolts. The work includes laying and routing the copper cable in PVC / conduits and fixing them on wall. The PVC/conduit pipe to be supplied by Railway. Note 1: MEEB shall be installed not more than 0.5 metres from LPD /SPD box and preferably near SMR rack of IPS (Annexure-V) as per RDSO TAN No.STS/E/TAN/3006, Ver.3.1, Dated: 25.06.2025 or latest. if required SPD to be shifted from Relay rack/Power Rack/CTR to wall mounted position such way distance from MEEB to SPD not more than 0.5 mtrs. Note 2 :all the equipment shall be connected to the nearest point on the BRC using bonding wires routed through the floor of the room. Routing through the floor ensures the shortest path and prevents the earth wire from running parallel to any power/data cables. The cutting to be filled and finished with cement/concrete, and plastering. The wire will be laid in suitable PVC pipe and this work is to be executed as per directions of Railway Engineer at site.
