Alteration of Existing Location Box Drawings (Including Contact Analysis, Fuse Particulars etc) and submission of Three paper copies for approval
Preparation of yard diagrams/Auto section diagram/speed restriction board/Trouble shooting diagram/Maintenance checklist/Any other diagrams as instructed by Site Engineer, printing in star flex/vinyl with glossy lamination and installation at site as per requirement. Note: (1) The contractor may submit a paper print of yard 2 diagram/Auto section diagram/speed restriction board etc. for checking to Railway. The same paper print diagram with corrections will be returned to the Contractor. Then after incorporating all corrections the contractor submits another paper print to Rlys and will take permissions of Railway for final print. (2) The contractor should submit the final soft copies of yard diagrams in CD/Pen drive to Railway (3) This includes supply of board of suitable sizes with fixing arrangements on wall. (4) The printing should be clearly visible from 3-4 feet.

Excavation of trenches of following depth and width 0.3 Meter detailed below including clearing of roots and trees etc. for all types of soil. This work also includes covering of cables laid in trench and backfilling, ramming, 1 consolidation of soil as well as disposal of extra soil after cable is laid as specified in Guidelines on Signalling Cable laying given by RDSO and any latest circular issued by CSTE/SCoR/BBS. Note: Before refilling of the trenches, the cable laid are to be tested and recorded for its insulation value and after satisfaction of site Engineer the refilling process should start and after monsoon the route is to be attended for backfilling the rain cuts, wash out of soils where ever found. 1.0 Meter.

Excavation of trenches including clearing of roots of trees etc., in rocky area up to a depth to be indicated 3 by Railway Engineer at site as per the site condition [Minimum 0.6 meter] and width 0.3 Mts. at the bottom. This includes concreting & plastering as per the instructions of site Engineer and complete back filling by digging earth from a lead of 30 Mtr. In case 0.8-meter depth or higher is achieved no concreting is required, otherwise concreting up to 100 mm thickness should be done. All materials required for the above works shall be supplied by the Contractor.
Excavation of trenches in all kinds of soils including soft rocky area and clearing of track etc. to a depth of 1.0 M and width of 0.3 M for track crossing /pucca road/level crossing gate/platform/station circulating area or any other 4 place as advised by site Engineer including transportation and laying of DWC/RCC/Split RCC/G.I. pipes with or without coupler. This includes repairing of track/pucca road/level crossing gate/ platform/station circulating area surface to original position by ramming and concreting wherever required soon after the work is over. DWC/RCC/GI pipes shall be supplied by the Railway. DWC pipes wherever required shall be supplied in 6 Mtr. length and shall be cut to size as per requirement. All other materials including cement are to be supplied by the contractor.
Concreting (1:1.5:3) at a height of 150 mm & width of 0.3 m after laying of cables where it is not possible 5 to dig up to full depth of 1.2m/1.0m/0.8m in normal soil due to existing cables are in the trench, culverts, bridges. All materials including cement and chips of size 20mm. etc. to be supplied by the contractor. Payment for the depth of trench to be paid in proportionate to the rate specified for 1.2 mtr depth (excluding the concreting rate).
Cable Duct behind the Relay room and Goomties of size 1.8 M x1.8 M x 1.2 M to keep cables entering into 6 it consisting of brick work of 254 mm thickness of proportion 1:6 with sand filling after coiling of cables. The top of sand filling covered with concreting of size 1.30 M x1.30 M and a depth of 200 mm of proportion 1:1.5:3 outside of the duct should be plastered with cement mortar 1:6 to achieve smooth finishing. All materials including cement and chips of size 40mm. and second-class bricks etc. to be supplied by the contractor.
Cutting of masonary floor/walls at station building/ signal goomty/ Gate lodge at a depth of 0.5 mtr to 1.0 7 mtr at places to be indicated by site Engineer for entering of cables inside the building. Only G.I pipes supplied by Railway and all materials as clamps, bolts & nuts as instructed by site Engineer supplied by tenderer. This includes repairing of masonary floors/walls after the cables are taken inside. Cement, Sand required for the work shall be supplied by the tenderer and also transportation of G.I Pipe from Store by the tenderer.
Fixing of cable route marker as per drawing in "section-H" at a distance of 100 mtr. Along the trench and 8 at places where the cable route has taken diversion as per instruction of site Engineer, this includes casting of foundation at site and fixing of the marker in the foundation made earlier at site as per railway directives and specifications, this includes proper curing of the structure, All materials required for this like cement, sand 15 mm chips and steel rod of ISI marks should be supplied by the tenderer.
Laying of Signalling/4 Quad/ 6 Quad/ Power Cable/Telecom cables/ Jelly filled cables of all sizes in excavated trench, through GI/RCC/DWC pipes etc. wherever required. This includes transportation of cables from the 9 stores to work site and transportation of empty cable drums with left over cables from site to the stores. The length of cable laid includes the length of cable coil for termination purpose. NOTE: The cables are to be carefully handled during loading, un-loading and transportation to work site. Any damage found in the cable after final testing, in view of mishandling of cables, shall be made good by the Tenderer. Cable should be meggered before and after laying and recorded in a register and submitted to the site Engineer.
Transportation, excavation of pit, casting of foundation, plastering and erection of Steel Apparatus case (full size) with fixing of E-Type lock, wiring, cable entry, termination clamping, filling cable pit with sand, painting and lettering etc., as per Drg.No. S&T/CON/SK/16. This includes earth work and/or masonry work required for securing the apparatus case as per site condition. Railway will supply apparatus case with 'E' type lock only from Railway stores at. 10 Tenderer will supply all wiring materials, PBT Terminals, fuses, fuse blocks, bus bars, hylum sheet ISI mark [6mm thickness], wood plank board of good quality [minimum 3/4" thick, Cement and transport all the materials to site of work at his own cost. The wiring materials such as wire coils, PBT terminals, fuses, fuse block, etc. should be used from RDSO approved sources. 1) Modification of inside arrangement of Apparatus cases if required for fixing of relays/transformers etc. shall be done by the contractor. Extra shelf, if any, shall be deposited to the Railway stores by the contractor. 2) All cables shall be terminated by providing copper eyelet of suitable size. Note: (i) If location box foundation is available at site 20% of the cost is to be deducted. (ii) 40% payment shall be released after erection of location boxes.

Tenderer shall supply all wiring materials, PBT Terminals, fuses, fuse blocks, bus bars, hylum sheet ISI mark [6mm thickness], wood plank board of 11 good quality [minimum 3/4" thick, cement and any other materials that are required for the work at his own cost. Contractor has to transport all the materials from store at his own cost to the work site. Supply, Transportation and Installation of earth electrode (make TATA or Jindal as per Rly. practice) including MS flat for signalling equipment on lever frame, apparatus cases, signal, relay racks, cable termination rack, block instrument etc. (supply & installation of earth electrode as per drawing no. RE/S&T/DRG/Tender/SK/398/94 for apparatus cases, signal post & other equipment as per instruction on earthing of S&T equipment. Laying of earth lead 12 mild steel flat of size 35mmx6mm and fixing of lead MS flat (make TATA/Jindal or Similar) to earth electrode and lever frame, signal post & apparatus cases as per Drg. No. CORE/S&T/ALD/SK/591/ 2008, 592/2008 and 593/2008 respectively and instructions on earthing at S&T equipment and providing cement enclosure for earth electrode as per drawing no. RE/S&T/Sig./Tender/SK/13/85 Alt. A) NOTE: This includes testing of earth value and indicating the same on the Earth enclosure by paint. Inspection of earth electrode, MS flat and cement enclosure by Railway Representative.
Transportation, installation of point machine on MS plate fixed on wooden/psc/steel sleeper complete with fixing of anti-theft arrangement, 'D' Bracket, junction boxes, connection including smithy works involved for ground 13 connection, including riveting/welding of angle cleats, termination of cables. Preliminary adjustment for operation of points by crank handle. Oiling, greasing, painting and lettering as required. This also includes supply and fixing telescopic arrangement using GI pipes of required dia for provision of wires from junction box to point machine. Railway will supply point machine, ground connection from stores. Tender shall supply all other materials required for the works. The contractor shall overhaul the point machine before installation.
Wiring and testing of electric point machine as per the wiring diagram supplied by the Railway. This also includes the connection of complete ground connections of electric point machine and fixing of insulation materials and providing one numbers of seven lever [7 levers] Godrej locks with three keys each, per machine for outside cover, fixing arrangement of crank handle interlocking in point machine, and fixing of 'E' type lock [if required]. Railway will supply 14 electric point machine, ground connections with insulations and junction boxes. Tenderer shall transport the materials issued by Railways to the site of work at his own cost and shall also supply materials such as PVC wire for wiring, one numbers of Godrej (7 Levers) locks with three keys each per lock, per point machine, and any other materials that are required for installation, wiring, testing and commissioning of the said work at his own cost. Also Preparation of point parameter history records and maintenance register duly recording the measurements in prescribed format jointly with Railway representative and handover all records to the Railway.
Transportation of signal posts for multiple aspect colour light signals, complete with signal units, bases, ladders and other fittings, excavation of pit, casting of cement concrete foundation, plastering as per Drg. No. Con/SK/T/12, erection and fixing of complete fittings of the 2/3/4 aspect signal/signal posts including termination of 15 cables, wiring, LED fixing, signal testing and focusing. Name plate & marker and all other materials shall be provided by the contractor at his own cost. Required cement shall be supplied by the contractor. Arrangement of Screening to be provided by the contractor if required as instructed by site Engineer. Contractor shall prepare jointly with Railway Engineer at site and submit Signal Sighting report and Signal test report as per approved format of Railway. NOTE: (i) 50 % Payment shall be released after erection of signal post. Balance 50 % shall be released after termination of cable, wiring, painting, testing & focusing of signal. (ii) If foundation is available at site 30% of the cost is to be deducted.
Supply, transportation, foundation, erection, painting and lettering of SLB/BSLB, warning/sighting board of 16 standard size etc, with 6" (minimum) G.I channel iron support of appropriate length as per G&SR, SEM and IP. This includes excavation of pit as per approved drawing of the railway for casting of foundation (ratio 1: 3: 6). All the materials required for above work shall be supplied by the contractor. Note: SLB/BSLB shall be fitted with ladder as per standard practice. Inspection of SLB/BSLB, warning board by the representative of the Railway.
Supply, transportation, foundation, erection, painting and lettering of legend board, stop board etc with 4" 17 [minimum] GI channel iron support length as per G &SR, SEM and IP. This includes excavation pit as per approved drawing of the railway for casting of base foundation [ratio 1: 3: 6]. All the materials required for the above works shall be supplied by the contractor. Note: approximate size of the legend board shall be 24" X 18" X 1/5". Inspection of legend board, stop board etc shall be done by representative of the Railway.
Transportation, fixing and wiring of 24/30-way junction box. Tenderer shall supply all wiring materials, hylum strip ISI mark (6mm thickness), MS angle for fixing and any other materials that are required for the work, at his own cost. Railway will supply 24/30 way JB & PBT terminal from the store.
Fixing of relay bases and wiring, bunching, fixing of relays, wiring in Old relay racks/location box and also 19 carrying out any alteration in existing relay rack duly wiring and connecting New to old and Old to old relays by standard wires (RDSO Approved Sources) as per Circuit diagram. Fuses of bases, condensers, ND fuses, LED indicator & its wiring for relay rack. All materials required for this work will be supplied by the contractor from RDSO Approved Sources. Relays with accessories will be supplied by the Railway.
Alteration of wiring in existing apparatus cases full/half. This includes supply of all materials in connection 20 with alteration in wiring. All the materials shall be supplied by the contractor at his own cost. This includes entry of cables, sand filling and masonry work involved. Lettering and painting to be done by the contractor at his own cost. Railway shall supply only relays and relay bases.
Alterations of wiring in existing Relay rack/ CT rack/composite relay rack. This includes supply of all types 21 of wires, eyelets, nuts & bolts, bunching material, ferrules, ARA terminals, fuses & fuse blocks by the contractor at own cost. Lettering & painting to be done by the contractor at his own cost. Wire (RDSO Approved Sources) to be inspected by the representative of Railway before use.
Supply, transportation, fixing and execution of continuity bond for Glued Joints. The contractor shall 22 supply bond wire of 8-SWG, channel pins, drill twist of size 9/32" and any other materials to execute the work. The drilling machine, hammer, packing materials, lubricant and any other materials required to execute the said work shall be arranged by the contractor. The work will be carried out as per instruction of Site Engineer of Railway.
Dismantling of the signal post/warning board/Location box with complete fittings. This includes dismantling, stacking and account of all the materials including transportation of all released materials to the Railway store or as instructed by the Railway. Unit Above/
A2-Execution (Non-UBR)
Provision of Cement concrete enclosure for Earth electrode as per approved drawing RDSO Drawing No. SDO/RDSO/E&B/001 or latest or as per SEM drawing no Drg. No. 19-D6. All the sundry materials to be supplied by the 1 contractor.
Provision MS flat connection from Earth pit to LBs/Signals including supply and laying of MS Flat of size 2 40X6mm at site, supply of GI bolt of size M12X40mm with two Nuts along with two plain washers and one spring washer, drilling of holes in MS flat of different sizes at site, cutting with bending and twisting of MS flat as required at site, painting of MS Flat with one coating of red oxide as primary and two coats of anti-corrosive black paint and drilling of holes in Location Boxes at site.
Exothermic welding in relay room, IPS or any indoor room as per STS/E/TAN/3006 ver 3.0

Termination of insulated flexible wire from TLJB to Rail including making of two holes on rail, supply of insulated Flexible wire rope, steel galvanised 7x7 strand, channel pins, 25 sq mm eye lug & other necessary materials. Inspection of wire by Railway Representative.
Strengthening of foundation of full/ half location boxes, by carrying out lhe earth work around the 6 foundation, ramming of the earth carrying out masonary work from bottom of earth work using country stones and cement masonary to prevent the earth from slipping down the bank. All the materials for masonary work to be supplied by the contractor. a) for tilting between 0 to 10 degrees
Manufacturing, Supply, painting and fixing of markers of G/P/C/A/AG/IB Markers as per IRSEM Drg.No.19- D10 on MS sheet of thickness 3mm. Miscellaneous material required for fixing Markers is to be supplied by contractor.
Fixing of Track lead junction box on angles (50 x 50 x 6 mm size), drilling one hole on either side of the 8 box of suitable size and fixing track lead junction box by the side of the track, drilling 4 holes of 7.2 mm dia. on Rail, connecting double track leads with bond pins, running track lead wire, termination of track lead wire on ARA terminals duly fixing the same inside the TLJB Teak wood board bolted inside the track lead junction box. (Fixing angles, bolts, nuts and teak wood boards to be supplied by the contractor).
Lifting of Track lead junction boxes minimum 6 inches above the rail level
Lifting of Point machine Junction Box along with lead wires and cables as advised by Railway representative.
Transportation & Sand filling of Location Box with rough thin plaster of Location Box. Materials to be supplied by the contractors.
Providing and fixing wooden planks in floors, shelves, lofts, etc with Kail, venteak, pillamarudhu or locally available comparable species of good country wood (to be listed by respective railways). 30 mm thick.
Supply fabrication and fixing in position cladding/cabinet work using 19mm thick water proof plywood hot 13 pressed, termite resistant, smooth finished, quality resin bonded, conforming to IS:303 with quality mark of ISI, with high level workmanship as per the approved dimensions, design, shape and sizes, with all contractors materials labour tools & plants, joinery works, finishing, lead, lift, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge of the work.
Supply and fixing of Netlon wire mesh of all windows and ventilators as per instructions of Engineer-in- charge including labour charges.
Hiring of machinery for minor miscellaneous works for short duration including operator/driver, fuel, 15 lubricants and consumable. The contractor shall arrange all statutory permits as required by rules and regulations prevailing in the area of work. Payment shall be made for actual working hours at site. Transportation, Charging, installation, wiring of low maintenance Secondary cells as per manufacturer's instructions and Railway's directive. This includes supply of distilled water and sulphuric acid by the contractor at own cost. The uncharged batteries with connector shall be supplied by the Railway. Materials including PVC wires, battery connector, brass bolts and nuts, PVC tapes eyelets, etc and all other materials shall be supplied by the contractor. Note: 16 [1] Before completion of works contractor shall prepare jointly with Railway Engineer at site and submit battery capacity test report as per approved format of Railway and hand over all relevant records to the Railway. [2] All the cells failing in the discharged capacity test in the Railway premises will be replaced by new ones free of cost. Railway Engineers decision shall be final. Capacity test register (binding size no. 10) in prescribed format shall be supplied by the contractor. In case of failure in capacity test, tenderer will be responsible for fresh charging/replacement of the batteries. 2 Volts/400 AH Unit Above/
