REPAIR TO BITUMEN HUNGRY SURFACES AND CRACKS REPAIRING FOR RUNWAY, PTT IN TECH AREA AT AF STN PHALODI

1. M & L for cleaning the surface by brushing wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with compressor air blower (50 to 90 PSI) to remove all loose dust and dirt etc/taking out dust/existing material with compressed air and making the surface free from dust, drying the surface and applying two coats of Polymeric Modified Emulsion (PME) by using self-propelled emulsion distribution uniformly or towed emulsion pressure sprayer, equipped for spraying the PME uniformly & mopping of total undiluted PME @ minimum 1.00 litre per sqm undiluted in two coats in the ratio 1:1 (PME : Water) and ensure uniform finish complete all all specified and as directed. Note :- The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting his rate for the item (i) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of polymer modified emulsion(PME) than that mentioned above is used depending upon condition of the surface to be treated. (ii) Minus price adjustment as pro-rata of quoted rate for min 1.0 litre/Sqm in two coats shall be made, if less quantity of PME as per manufacturer's instructions and subsequently approved by GE is used in work. (iii) A preformance guarantee certificate for two year shall be submitted by the contractor to the completion of the works as specified. (iv) PME must have penetration value of 10-20 mm and initial setting time four to five hours but not more than eight hours. (v) Special care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks with 6mm to 2.36 mm size coarse sand as per manufacturer’s instructions and quoted rate is included for repair of gaps/cracks. (vi) Cost of trial patch 15m x 15m deemed to be included in rates quoted for above item. (vii) To prevent theold runway marking when you are appling PME on runway surfaces.

2. M&L for repair to cracks of any type of width and depth in flexible surfaces by cleaning of the cracks with compressed air blower 50 to 90 PSI,coir, wire brushes to remove all loose dirt, dust or any foregin materials etc and apply Tar Plastic cold applied bituminous caulking compound filling the crack complete all as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and directed. Note:- The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting his rate for the above item:- (i) A performance guarantee certificate for one year shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of the works as specified. (ii) Rate quoted shall be deemed to be inclusive of supply and fixing of masking tape to protect pavement surface from accindental spillage of tar plastic and removal & disposal of the same afterwards. Note :- No claim shall be made by contractor for above Sr Item No 1 to 2 for Site availability as per User's /site requirement and stoppage of work due to any aircraft coming and stoppage of work in a day. The rates shall be deemed to be included in the respective items.
