Chemical Smothering system. (a) Carry out random survey of system pipes and rectify/renew pipes as required. (b) Carry out calibration of instrumentation
Inhibitor system (a) Weigh the Freon bottles, recharge if required (46 bottles)
Foam extinguishing system (a) Calibrate pressure gauge, reducers, safety valves and control instruments. (b) Remove MORPEN into a vessel, blow out the tanks with compressed air and wash with fresh water. Refill them with fresh MORPEN.
Survey of system pipelines 25% (200m) for visible damage and material deterioration and replace if necessary
Overhauling of 25% (35 in no.) system valves of that individual section/ station.
Retrieval of Khaldon gas from cylinders in government authorized facility as per Gas cylinder rules - 2016
Hydraulic Pressure testing of cylinders and nitrogen pressure testing with head vv as per Gas cylinder rules – 2016.
Pressure testing of cylinder along with following activities as per Gas cylinder rules 2016- (a) Ultra sonic thickness gauging of cylinders (b) Endoscopy of cylinders (c) Internal chemical cleaning of cylinders
Fitment of pipe lines if removed post survey, renewal and painting of all pipes and repair as per exact color codes
Check operation of ship pressure relays mounted on Khaldon 227EA filling pipe lines.
Tightening of flanges and nipple connections and replacement of sealing rings
Calibration of pressure gauges to be carried out at NABL approved facility and certificates to be issued. Total gauges(62 no's) Defective gauges to be replaced with concurrence of ship staff with approved make
Calibration of temperature gauges to be carried out at NABL approved facility and certificates to be issued. Total gauges(62 no's) Defective gauges to be replaced with concurrence of ship staff with approved make
Painting marking and punching of cylinders as per PESO procedures and certification from NABL/CCOE/PESO approved firm
Flushing through / blow thro of sys pipe lines with nitrogen gas (dew point-80 deg C) at 1.5 times the working pressure (60 Kg/cm2 approx).
Check operation of system at all OXT stations for functioning without Khaldon supply to compartments, manually and with ONEGA this is to be taken station wise
Check operation of AVCAT OXT system functioning of automatic activation.
Replace of split pins and locking arrangements with identical ones of best approved quality
