Repair & overhauling of 220 kV outdoor horizontal mounting Isolators Wigman make at 220kV Substation Giri Nagar. The scope of work includes cleaning and lubrication of isolator post insulator base for free movement, replacing defective female contacts, setting of tendom pipes, providing and applying corrosion protection kit on male and female contacts after cleaning contact's surface and providing a layer of anti-static coating to prevent pitting and carbon deposition due to arcing on contacts, repairing of hard operating gear mechanism by replacing of gear worm, refilling of hydraulic oil in gear chamber, replacement of Push Button switches and indication lamps, replacement of contactors, replacement of HRC fuse holders with MCB, cleaning & tightening of terminals & terminal blocks, spray painting from inside and finally testing for smooth operation of gear mechanism and proper closing and opening of isolator blades to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge for the following isolators at 220/132kV Substation Giri Nagar:- 1. 220kV Incomer-1 : Bus-B Isolator = 1 No. 2. 220kV Incomer-2 : Bus-B Isolator = 1 No. 3. 220/132kV 100MVA Transformer-1 : Bus-B Isolator = 1 No. 4. 220/132kV 100MVA Transformer-2 : Bus-B Isolator = 1 No.
