BR WORKS:- Demolition of Brickwork or stone/boulder masonry, built in lime mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars,etc, but excluding ashlar facings, dressed stonework and precast concrete articles complete all as specified and directed.(Note:-(a) All coping’s, corbels, cornices and other projections shall be included with the wall measurements. (b) The rates include taking down walls, etc, with plaster but the measurements will be exclusive of plaster thickness. (c) Honeycomb brickwork and hollow concrete blocks shall be measured solid. (d) Item shall be applied to brickwork and stone masonry other than in roofs and pavings/floors).

Demolition of Cement concrete(unreinforced) in ground floors and pavings n exc15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of Reinforced Cement Concrete (reinforcement cut as required to facilitate demolition) as in roofs, floors (other than ground floors), beams, staircases, landing, chajjas and similar suspended work complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling floor, hearth or wall tiling including cement mortar bedding (but not backing) removing serviceable tiles to stores and rubbish off the premises. all as directed.

Dismantling posts or struts (wood, steel or R.C.C.) any section embedded in natural ground, including taking out embedded portion and making good disturbed ground complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling expanded metal(n exc 4 kg), any thickness or mesh, fixed with steel or wood fillets, complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition and breaking up 150mm internal dia of drain pipes (Salt glazed ware, AC or Reinforced concrete) set in cement mortar complete all as specified and directed.(Note:-The masurements shall be taken along the centre line of pipe and fittings. Excavation work shall be measured separately).

Taking down eaves gutters and rainwater pipes (any size or pattern), including all fittings,heads, shoes, bends, swan-necks, etc., including cleaning or refixing or removal to Store complete all as specified and directed. (Note:-Measured overall as fixed along the centre line over fittings and accessories).

Taking down chowkats or frames not exc 1.5sqm each with shutters( without taking off shutters from the frame ) including dismantling of bed blocks for hold fasts complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down chowkats or frames exc 1.5sqm and not exc 4.0 sqm each with shutters ( without taking off shutters from the frame ) including dismantling of PCC bed blocks for hold fasts complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down of shutters of any description n.exc 1.00 Sqm and each complete all as specified and directed.

(b) Measurements of ridges, hips, valleys and flashings shall be taken in sq. m and paid for at the same rates as for roof covering of similar materials).

Dismantling Plain or corrugated steel sheeting,any gauge, thickness, including Nainital or similar pattern roof coverings complete all as specified and directed.(Note:-(a) All work shall be measured flat overall and not girthed.(b) Measurements of ridges, hips, valleys and flashings shall be taken in sq. m and paid for at the same rates as for roof covering of similar materials).

Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits,manholes, pier holes, sewage pipe line etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm. soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material(Soils) n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for broken bricks as in loose filling with aggregates of gauge 80 to 150 mm in soakage pits, soakage wells complete all as specified and directed.

Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) each n exc 0.5cu. m, getting out, returning,filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm,as in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for providing Cement concreteType C2 1:3:6 (40 mm graded crushed aggregate) in foundations,filling and mass concrete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Providing precast cement concrete Type C0 1:3:6 (12.5mm graded aggregate) louvres and jallies,35mm thick (measured solid), including all mouldings but excluding frame set in cement mortar 1:4 all as specified and directed.(Note:-Precast frame shall be measured and paid separately ).

Material and labour for extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 30 cm inner girth in cement concrete, using ex- tra cement, including forms, moulds, mi- tred/stopped ends etc. all as specified and directed.(Note :-Add or deduct for each 25 mm girth or part thereof over or under 30cm shall be measured and paid to the contractor).

Material and labour for applying three coats of white washing on walls including preparing new plastered or unplastered surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.(Note:-The unit rate includes for:- (a) Use of all scaffolding, trestles, ladders, cradles, etc.necessary for execution of work and protective measures. (b) Removing of nails, making good holes, cracks, etc. (c) Work in patches, and in narrow widths. bands,cornices, pilasters, etc. and cutting in edges to line,where necessary. (d) Spreading and removing coverings to doors,windows, floors, fittings, etc., to protect them from splashes. (e) Removing and replacing furniture, movable cupboard, chicks, blinds, etc. (f) Washing floors, cleaning glass, joinery, electric fittings, wiring, etc. of drops and splashes and leaving premise, clean and tidy).

Taking down existing damagedEWC/ IWC alongwith complete PCC and lime concrete from sunken floor and providing newEWC/ IWC and water proofing treatment to sunken floor as per following stage :- (i) 15mm thick plastering in CM (1:2) with water proofing compound as per manufacturers instruction at all around and base of sunken floor with proper slope. (ii) Applying a coat of 85/25 gde hot bitumen @ 0.7Kg/Sqm over a coat of bituminous primer @0.5Kg/Sqm and then pasteing of polythene film, 150 micron, natural colour with cold cut back adhessive. (iii) Fixing of 25mm dia GI pipe (med gde) spout of length 45 cm (iv) Supply & fixing of vitreous china squatting pan, "ORISSA" pattern, size 580x440mm white with integral footrest, P/S trap etc complete including providing PCC lean concrete in Mix 1:5:10 complete. NOTE: The integral waterproofing compound will be measured and paid under relevant item of BOQ.

(i) Demolition of old damaged existing water proofing compound on RCC roof of any description and specification and cleaning the surface thoroughly including 15 mm thick in cement mortar (1:4) on existing roof surface true to level after applying cement slurry @ 3 kg/sqm and applied coat of hot blown bitumen of graded 85/25 @ 1.2 Kg/Sqm.with laying 3mm thick APP based polymeric membrane of approved manufacture with weight not less than 3.60 kg per Sqm reinforcement with non-woven polyster febric weight not less than 150 gms per Sqm. The overlap shall be not less than 100 mm on transverse direction and 75mm on longitudinal direction and sealing overlaps and applying evenly one coat of aluminium paint @0.10 liter per square metre over the APP based polymeric membrance complete all as specified and as directed.
