PART-I : INTERNAL ROAD, ROAD SIDE BERMS, POT HOLES AT RESTRICTED AREA OF VEHICLE DEPOT

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 sqm depth exc 50mm and depth n. exc 100mm deep (Scarifying include racking over and grading the broken up surface to the proper camber etc. as required) and rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in filling by power roller exc 8 tonne & n exc 12 tonne capacity to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified and directed. [Total Qty : 105.00 (Part-I) + 105.00 (Part-II) + 100.00 (Part-III) = 310 (10 Sqm)]

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sqm of VG-10 grade of paving bitumen, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sqm of VG-30 grade of paving bitumen, blinded with 0.09 cu m of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings), complete all as specified and directed. M&L laying and compacting total 150mm compacted thickness (laid in two layers of 75mm each) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) grading as per table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge Works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant, material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 8 to 12 tonne static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified and directed. [Note : (i) The finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge Works 2013. (ii) Raw materials for work shall exclusively manufactured by latest calibrated WMM Plant. Valid Calibration Certificate of WMM Plant to be submitted to Engr-in-Charge before execution of work. No manual mixing of coarse aggregate are allowed. (iii) Lorry no & qty brought at site of WMM materials shall be entered in MB as "Not to be abstracted" before payment. M&L preparing of surfaces of unsurfaced Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and including applying evenly a prime coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion SS1 confirming to IS : 8887 at a rate of application of 0.7-1.0 kg/sqm on surface of WMM / WBM as specified in Table 500-3 of MoRTH Specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer, complete all as specified and directed. [Total Qty : 105.00 (Part-I) + 100.00 (Part-II) + 105.00 (Part-III) = 310 (10 Sqm)]

M&L Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a tack coat of Bitumen VG-10 grade conforming to IS : 73-2006 at a rate of application of 0.3-0.4 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRTH Specification for Road and Bridge Works 2013, using mechanical sprayer, complete all as specified and directed. [Total Qty : 415.00 (Part-I) + 410.00 (Part-II) + 450.00 (Part-III) = 1275 (10 Sqm)]

M&L Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder with paving bitumen (VG-30), filler cement as per recommendation of design by weight of total mix from hot mix plant, rolled by with 8 to 12 tonne vibrating (tandom) road roller to confirm uniform surface and compacted to required camber and gradient complete with mechanical paver, complete all as specified and directed. [Note : (i) Work shall be executed after approval of design mix of semi dense asphaltic concrete by GE. (ii) Calibration of Hot Mix Plant shall be submitted to Engr-in-Charge for approval. (iii) Payment shall be made to Contractor after submission of approved design mix, Bitumen Extraction Report, Road Roller Register & Calibration Report. (iv) Exact qty of binder to be used shall be ascertained by Design Mix. (v) Minimum 5.5% binder shall be used. M&L premixed bituminous macadam over primed surface of road using paving bitumen VG-30, laid/rolled by 8 to 12 tonne capacity roller and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less including preparation of area before laying of Macadam with mechanical paver), binder contents of premixed macadam shall be 4% by weight of total mix (Design Mix), complete all as specified and directed. [Note : (i) Work shall be executed after approval of design mix of bituminous macadam by GE. (ii) Calibration of Hot Mix Plant shall be submitted to Engr-in-Charge for approval. (iii) Payment shall be made to Contractor after submission of approved design mix, bitumen extraction report, Road Roller register & calibration report. (iv) Exact qty of binder to be used shall be ascertain by design mix. (v) Minimum 4% of binder shall be used. M&L 100mm thick spread thickness in pavings with mix of fly ash, clinker & stone dust in proportion of 1:3:6 (i.e. 10% fly ash, 30% clinker and 60% stone dust) incl watering, ramming and compacted with vibratory / power roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity at required camber and gradient to get CBR value 20% and dry density 97% (min 95% proctor density), complete all as specified and directed. [Note : (i) Rate shall be quoted by the bidders for 100mm thick and measured as one composite layer after rolling.
