Bore holes supplemented with standard penetration test up to 10mtr depth as per 1892 : 1979 with refusal as per IS up to 10 mtr collection of disturbed and undisturbed representative samples and trial pits (Size 1.2m x 1.2m x3m depth) one No for each building (Total four numbers of trail pit) 5m away from each hole. (a) Location of water Table & Loc of HFL (b) SPT (c) SPT Resistance Curve. (d) Soil classification (IS 1498) (e) Grain size analysis (IS 2720) (f) Particle size analysis (IS 2720) (g) Atterberg limits, indix properties (IS 2720) (h) Moister Density Relationship (IS 2720) (j) Swelling pressure test (k) Natural moisture content (IS 2520) and in-situ density (l) Specific gravity (m) Triaxial shear test/Direct Shear test (n) Unconfined compressive strength on at least two undisturbed samples from each bore hole (o) Free swell index (IS 2720) (p) Organic matter/Deleterious matter (IS 2720) (q) Permeability (IS 2720) (r) Consolidation test (IS 2720) Note : Laboratory test of soil be carried out as per IS code 6403: 1981 for following: - (a) liquid limit, Plastic limit, grain size distribution. (b) Firm will submit his report in bounded paper in triplicate. (c) Firm will give the recommendation regarding safe bearing capacity of soil, type of soil and foundation depth at min 3 depths viz 1.5m, 2.0 m & 2.5m for following size of footing 1.5m x 1.5m, 1.5m x 2.5m, 2m x 3m and 3m x 3m, 2m x2m. (d) Factor applied for SPT N values as per IS 2131:1981 (e) All T&P items and site expenses such as camping transportation etc should be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (f) The working hours shall be 0900 hrs to 1750 hrs. (g) Site plan duly marked with location at bore hole is required. (h) Colour photograph at one bore hole is required in soil testing reports. (i) Recommendation regarding possibility of liquefaction of soil in case of saturated/partially saturated, loose/compacted/sandy soil. NOTE :- (j) 08 Nos of bore holes for constuction of Office and Residential Accommodation of Defence Estates Office Bareilly Circle. (k) 05 Nos of bore holes for construction of office Accommodation for PAO(OR) JRC Bareilly. (l) The report should be of NABL approved laboratory, Govt Engineering College or Engineer-in-Chief Br, IHQ of MoD (Army) New Delhi approved laboratory/ Consultant.
