The Top of the inspection chamber is to be provided with reinforced precasted RCC slab with 40 mm thick with lifiting hook. After laying earth from earth conductor bus to Electrode trough PVC Pipe, the surface should be covered with bitumen and grease. The cost of GI/Copper flat to be run from CI Pipe electrode to the equipment is to be made separately on running meter basis. The work shall be executed strictly as per IS 3043 - 1987. (f) Necessary Meggar testing is to be done in the presence of the concerned Engineers, and the reading should be as per IE standards.

The box should be free-standing floor mounted dust and vermin proof compartmentalized cubical panel made out of CRCA sheet, required hardware, cleaning with 7 tank process duly painted by two coats of zinc/red oxide primer followed by Powder coated / epoxy / PU painted with phosphatisation in grey or required shade after rinsing. The panel having PU/ Neoprene rubber gasket of not less than 3mm thickness, separate detachable, gland plate M.S. base channel, hinged door with locking arrangement for equipment/ switchgear. The thickness of sheet shall not be less than 1.6mm up to 600mm length/ width of any compartment and be 2.0mm above 600mm.
