Picking up and removing old bituminous layer or sand sealing coat from old black topped surface and cleaning the exposed surface by scraping and stacking the material as directed. By manual means: From 25 mm to 50 mm thick.

Water Bound Macadam Base Course: Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening / binding materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering including lighting, guarding, barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling, including cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machinery and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). By Manual Means. Using Grading-2 Aggregate (53 mm to 22.4 mm) @ 1.21 m3/m3 & Stone Screening Type - B (11.2 mm) @ 0.24 m3/m3.

Prime Coat: Providing and applying primer coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion of approved grade conforming to IS: 8887-1978 and requisite quantity on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer using Mechanical means including cost and carriage of bitumen emulsion and all other incidental costs of work complete as per Clause 502 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). For WBM / WMM Surface: (Using Bitumen Emulsion @ 0.85 Kg/Sq.M.)

Repairing pot-holes and making up small depressions with ramming or power rolling including screening, cleaning chips or metals and washing, drying as necessary and heating the chips or metal where necessary, cutting pot holes to regular shapes with vertical edges, cleaning the disintegrated materials, heating matrix and applying tack coat (including sides), finishing the top of repaired surface levelled with adjoining area, including cost and carriage of stone aggregates and matrix. With premixed S/Chips of 22.4 mm 0.60m3/m3 & S/Chips of 11.2 mm @ 0.40m3/m3 with 54 kg of bitumen per m3 of loose net volume of stone chips using Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty). (The payment is to be made on the basis of loose net volume of stone materials consumed in the work). Rate is inclusive of Cost of Applying of Tack Coat {Using Bitumen Emulsion @ 0.25 Kg/Sq.M.}.

Open-Graded Premix Surfacing using Bituminous (Viscosity grade Paving Bitumen / Modified bitumen) Binder and Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty). Providing, laying and rolling of Open - graded premix surfacing of 20 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm (@ 0.018 m³ per m²) and 11.2 mm (@ 0.009 m³ per m²) size stone aggregates, including thoroughly cleaning of the surface, screening, cleaning and pre-heating stone chips and fully pre-coating the same using viscosity grade paving bitumen @ 1.46 Kg. per m2, carrying the mixture by any suitable arrangements, laying the mixture uniformly over the surface, including line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base by applying tack coat using Bituminous Emulsion @ 0.25 Kg./m2, including mixing in Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty) and thoroughly rolling with a smooth wheeled roller 8-10 tonne capacity, finished to required level and grades including the cost and carriage of stone chips, matrix and emulsion, heating the matrix, preheating the aggregates to required temperature and including the hire charges of Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty) and other machinery, pay of operators, cost of fuel and lubricants etc. complete to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B as per Technical Specification Clause 508 for Rural Roads of MORD. Rate is inclusive of Cost of Applying of Tack Coat {Using Bitumen Emulsion @ 0.25 Kg/Sq.M.}.

Seal Coat: Providing and laying Premixed Seal Coat (Type B) with approved quality sand/grit @ 0.6 m3/ 100 m2 and bitumen binder on thoroughly cleaned black top surface coated with tack coat, including heating and mixing cleaned sand/grit (100 % passing through 2.36 mm sieve and retained on 180 micron sieve) uniformly with bitumen binder, laying and spreading the mix at an uniform rate using suitable means, brushing the surface, if necessary, to ensure uniformity, followed by rolling with power roller including the cost and carriage of binder and aggregates, cost of heating the binder and aggregates and all other incidental charges, cost of fuel and lubricants, including hire charges of machineries, tools & plants required for construction and quality control complete as per Clause 511 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). By Mechanical Means, over freshly laid 20 mm P.C. With Hot Bitumen Binder (@ 6.80 kg / 10 sqm.)

Protection of embankment by closely driven 150mm diameter Eucalyptus Bullah, each of 4500mm total length, driven 2700mm length into ground @ 350 mm center to center keeping 1800mm length above ground, including fittings of three numbers half split 100 mm diameter eucalyptus bullah Runner, along full length of the walling including 100mm diameter eucalyptus half bullah tie of 2500 mm. in length, fitted @ 2250mm centre to centre with Tie-post anchoring by driving 100mm diameter eucalyptus bullah Tie post of 1650 mm in length, 1500 mm length driven into ground on the road side @ 2250mm centre to centre, 2 (Two) coat coal tarring on Eucalyptus bullah used complete as per direction including the cost of supplying eucalyptus bullah, nails, bolts, wires, all fittings & fixtures etc. and labour charges for cutting bullah, driving charges for driving ballah into ground, fitting, fixing charges for Runner & Tie complete, including excavation charges, carriage & labour charges all complete in all respect as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Earthwork in excavation from borrow pits (land owned/arranged by the Department) and depositing in layers of 250 mm. including breaking clods in embankment works and to fill up back of abutments, depressions and ruts with an initial lead up to 50 m and initial lift up to 1.5 m making bunds at top as directed dressing complete. (Borrow pit measurement) In ordinary soil.

Supplying empty Cement bags in good condition & Filling empty Cement bags with dry carried earth @ 0.028 m3/Bag, stitching the bag (cost of thread included) and carrying and placing them in position and all incidental charges complete including cost of earth and gunny bags. [The Rate is inclusive with an initial lead up to 50 m and initial lift up to 1.5 m. (Borrow pit measurement). In Ordinary Soil.]
