M&L for excavation over areas not exc 1.5m deep and getting out in hard/dense soil all as specified and as directed.

M&L for excavation over areas in hard/dense soil for each additional 1.5 m or part thereof in depth beyond the first 1.5 m depth (up to 2Mtr depth) all as specified and as directed.

M&L for transporting and filling of soil with fine granules from outside the site location including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm all as specified and directed.

Note for item No.3:- (a) Before refilling of new soil, all the cracks/ voids in the earth bed and side wall after excavation shall be properly sealed by filling of soil. (b) The refilling shall be carried out in layers, not exc 25 cm with proper watering and ramming at each layer to ensure uniform compaction throughout the entire earth bed. (c) Necessary measures shall be taken for proper consolidation of the filled soil, and a 10% deduction shall be considered towards settlement and consolidation allowance for measurement items.

Removing excavated surplus material (soil) to a distance not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point all as directed.

Dismantling and taking out existing unserviceable chemical earthing including removal of old chemical back fill compound and earthing rod of any size and length all as directed.

Supply installation testing and commissioning of Maintenance free Chemical earthing system comprising of Copper Bonded Steel Earth Rod of 3-meter length and 17.2 mm diameter, Including Boring/ Auguring a hole of diameter 4 inch (100mm) and 9 feet depth in hard rock/ soil, placing the Earth rods into the augured hole, hammering the rods to 1 feet depth, and removing excavated material to a distance not exceeding 50m complete all as specified and as directed. Note for Item No.6:- (a) The outer surface must be molecularly bonded with uniform layer of 250 micron Copper, 99.9% pure electrolytic copper coating. (b) Nickel interface must be provided between the copper and steel to avoid the galvanic corrosion (c) Must be capable of withstanding fusing current of 25 KA @ 1 Sec (d) Earth rod must be in compliance with IEC 62305- 2, NBC 2010 and IEEE 80. (e) Tensile strength greater than 80000 PSI on 12 mm (f) High resistance to corrosion. (g)Material category number shall be listed in UL site. (h) Rod shall be tested as per IEC 62561- 2 standard in compliance with IEC 62305 standard. (i) Manufacturer Make, Part No and UL mark should be printed in each rod

S&F Ready made FRP heavy duty cover for earth pit chamber of size 450x450mm with M8 SS 304 grade nut and bolts, marking the earth resistance value on it with aluminium name plate all as specified.

Material & Labour in repairs for Interconnection conductor of 1 Run of size 10 mm Copper Bonded Steel Round Conductor with minimum copper bonding 254 microns having continuous coin form, the conductor core shall consists of a low-carbon steel grade for improved flexibility. (The copper surface of the conductor shall provide high conductivity and corrosion resistance properties, should not crack or tear when conductor is bend well‐suited as a earth lead conductor or equipotential bonding conductor in accordance with the IEC 62305- which shall be tested as per IEC 62561-2:2012 standard) Including excavation to a depth of 50 cm for laying round conductor wherever required, for treating the horizontal conductor using GEM material , removing excavated material, returning filling or fixing with holder complete all as specified and as directed . (e) Must not depend on the continuous presence of water / moisture / salt to maintain its conductivity (f) Must not decompose or leach out with time. (g) Must not contain hazardous chemicals as per IEC 62561-7 standard. h) Flexural and possess compressive strength as per relevant standard. (i) Sulphur content must be less than 2%. (j) TCLP Test shall be conducted on the material (k) material shall be inline with IEEE 80 clause 14.5.d (l) Corrosion test shall be conducted on the material under both aggressive and non aggressive conditions.. (m) Installation Instruction and Material DATA sheet should be printed in each package.

M&L for Stainless steel Terminal connections to Equipment Body connection from maintenance free earth pit by mechanical connection using nuts, bolts and all other accessories complete as required as per site conditions complete all as specified and as directed. Make :- ERICO Cat -part No: BCR 10T or techno-commercially equivalent of SIEMENS / HERGER . Note: -Terminals of existing earth pits shall be cleaned for proper contact with CBSC

M&L for Cad weld Materials for Connections between Ground Rod with CBSC conductor by Exothermic reaction complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- Connections to be made with a semi-permanent graphite mould, which shall hold the conductors to be welded. Weld metal must be a mixture of copper oxide and aluminium, should be compliant with IEEE 80 standards and tested as per IEEE 837 -2014 standard. Make:- ERICO Cat Part No: 150 PLUS F20 or techno-commercially equivalent of SIEMENS / HERGER.

Supply and fixing FRP earthing display board 254 x 380mm made out of plastic material showing information related to type of earthing, earthing result, due date of testing along with fixing size 610mm height made of plastic hollow pipe of 20mm dia.

Taking out the old unserviceable aluminium roof conductors /strips of any size from the roof/ walls and Supply and fixing of copper strip 32 x 6mm mm thick with saddles and fixing screws etc.as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs/ etc all as directed.

S&F in repair epoxy base insulators of suitable size 40mm height for fixing Copper / GI earth strip on wall/ceiling/floor/poles etc.

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C1 with 20mm graded stone aggregate for bed block complete including necessary formwork complete all as specified and directed

Material and labour for cutting into old masonry to form toothing for and bonding in new brick or stone work including making good the surface with cement mortar 1:6 all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for cutting bituminous road/PCC had standing for laying of copper strip/ cable, not exceeding 30 cm in width and 45 cm in depth and making good the disturbed surfaces as per the existing specification complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for High density Poly ethylene ( HDPE) Pipes of size 50mm pressure rating 6 Kgf/sqcm for protection of cables/ copper strips etc all as specified and as directed.

IMPROTANT NOTE FOR SER ITEM NO 1 TO 21 :- (i) The contractor shall visit the site before quoting of rate since the site is located on hill top at Mukkunnimala. (ii) The complete works of the Earthing system shall be done through OEM only. Contractor shall submit MOU with OEM for execution of entire work before commencement of work. (iii) Design/Drawing/ Technical specifications of the complete earthing system showing the layout including dimensions is to be submitted by the contractor in consultation with OEM strictly keeping in view the actual ground requirements & the same is to be got approved from Engr-in-Charge & GE . (iv) Any items missed out in technical specifications but technically required for efficient working of the system is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. (v) The contractor /Firm shall visit the site prior to quoting the tender so as to ascertain the actual ground requirements. Any further query at a later date shall not be entertained & responsibility of the same shall rest on the contractor/firm. . (vi) The cost of making the disturbed surfaces good (Substation yard Stones and gravel, Walls, Pavement etc) is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rate of relevant items. (vii) On testing if the desired earth resistance is not found according to the relevant Indian Standards it is to be re done at his own cost to the entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge . (viii) Repair/ Preventive maintenance of the complete earthing system is to be got done from the OEM /Sister Concern/Channel partner only by the contractor for the entire defect liability period i.e two years from the certificate date of completion & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates. (ix) The contractor has to take the proper survey at site for the position of existing cable routing for electrical as well as communication and water line .If any damage to any electrical/communication cables or any pipelines or any other installations occur during execution of the work, then the same shall be made good by the contractor to the entire satisfaction of the concerned & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. (xi) Testing of the entire earthing system shall be conducted by the contractor at an interval of 3 months ( on a quarterly basis) in presence of OEM and user concerned. The test report shall be duly signed by the user and submitted by the contractor. (xii) Contractor shall give 10 years "Performance Guarantee" for efficient functioning of Earthing provided under subject CA from the certified date of completion of work. In this connection, an amount equal to 10% of the work done under this item shall be retained from his final bill. This amount shall be released to the contractor only after satisfactory expiry of the Ten years guarantee period. (xiii) Purchase Voucher & Manufacturers test certificates shall be submitted in original to the Engr-in-Charge /GE.

Supply, Fabrication and errection / installation of 21m high triangular shaped hot dip galvanised steel (self supporting) lattice tower, fabricated from mild steel conforming to IS: 2062 galvanized as per IS: 2629 / IS : 4759 with a minimum uniform zinc coating of 120 microns, suitable for outdoor installations for installing active type lightning arrester complete with footing / foundation all as per Approved structural design and drawing. Note:- (i) The contractor shall submit structural design & drawing of the lattice tower duly vetted by any IIT / NIT or any Govt engineering college within 30 days of commencement of work as per Worder No.01. (ii) The tower shall be structurally designed to with stand wind velocity up to 180km/h with gust factor of 1.2 and adequate safety margins . Tower to be designed as per IS 800 and IS 875, including complete structural analysis for wind loading and load combinations. (Also refer design parameters given). (iii) The scope of work include the cost following provisions (Ref Sl No.23.1 ):-

a) Segmented tower sections of 3m- length with all bracing, cleats, baseplates, stiffeners, and galvanised high- tensile nuts and bolts for complete assembly b) Grillage type RCC Foundation as per structural design and site soil bearing capacity, including site clearing, excavation , PCC, centering, reinforcement ( Fe500), M30 grade concrete, and embedded anchor bolts as per approved design drawings. c) Hot dipped galvanised steel vertical step ladder, securely fixed to the tower legs, with anti- slip ruggs ( spacing not exceeding300mm) complete with integrated vertical fall arrest system or safety lifeline. d) Maintenance platform at the tower top ( min. 1.2mx1.2m) made of anti-slip galvanized steel chequered plate or grating, including 1.0 m high hand rails on three sides and toe guards for safety. e) Provision and installation of Guy ropes using galvanised steel wire ropes (minimum 16 mm dia 6x19construction) complete with dead man anchors or grouted anchor rods, turnbuckles, thimbles, and guy clamps. Guying to be done at two or more levels with a guy radius as per structural requirements f) Provision for Aviation obstruction light at the top of the tower mounted securely on the maintenance platform including necessary cable routing provisions from tower base to top for power supply. g) Complete painting of the structure with one coat of epoxy primer and two coat of epoxy + PU paint all as specified and directed h) Vetting from the concerned authority for the detailed drawing of 180 kmph wind velocity for 21 mtr height tower (j) The complete installation including lay out marking, assembly, vertical alignment, guy tensioning, torqueing of bolts, inspection, testing and commissioning of the tower at site, using necessary equipment, scaffolding, cranes or derricks, and manpower complete (k) The quoted rate shall include transportation, loading/ unloading, tools & plants required, consumables, safety equipment's and compliance with all statutory norms, complete as per drawings, technical specifications, and directions of GE and Engineer-in- charge (l) Resistance allowance in grid connection shall be less than 05 Ω. If not achieved, the contractor is shall redo earthing work for satisfactory completion of job. Otherwise Dept have the right to recover suitable amount as directed by Engr-in-charge / GE.

Taking down carefully of existing Lightning Arrester from the roof top of Radar building including removal of down conductors and connection accessories without damaging and Refixing the same on the new 21 meter tower mounted on top most point including support with GI pipe of suitable size of min 1.0 mtr length including clamps nuts bolts etc with FRP insulators including connections all as specified and directed.

Supply, laying and testing of 70 sqmm PVC insulated multistrand copper cable green colour, (2 Runs) stainless steel cable tie, lugs with end termination for laying from tower top to LA earth pit test point terminal all as specified and directed. Note:- Two runs of copper cable shall be measured as one unit.

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 32x6mm copper strip for earth looping / inter connection of LA Earth pits and test points with equipotential bonding complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Test point made of copper size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8mm dia 25mm long hex. Head screw complete enclosed in water proof enclosure all as specified and as directed.
