COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE AND TESTING OF EARTHING INFRASTRUCTURE INCLUDING REMEDIAL ACTION FOR ACHIEVING EARTH RESULTS AT TECH AREA UNDER GE (AF) NO.1 JAMNAGAR.

Deployment of manpower, instrument, tools, and all connected accessories for testing of earth resistance of existing earthing at provided earth test point for each earth set by competent calibrated digital earth test meter electronic type along with accessories (earth rod set with Cu wire with clips) and recording the result dully signed with date by MES representative and contractor all as specified & as directed by Engg-in - Charge.

NOTE:- Testing of each earthing shall be carried out at the interval of 3 months and measurement shall be carried each time separately and test result shall be maintained dully signed with date by MES representative and contractor.

Supply and fix in repair Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size of 75 mm x 75 mm x 25 mm drilled and screwed with 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long screw, fixed in and including SMC junction box of size 170 x 170 x105mm hinged door fixed on wall complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for PCC earthing pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 of internal size 300 mm x 300 mm x 300 mm with 120 mm thick wall and 700 mm x 700 mm x 150 mm thick bed concrete and 50 mm thick precast chamber cover of RCC 1:2:4, type B1 for, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg / sqm), complete all as shown in the electrical plate No 3 of SSR part –I including demolition of old pit complete.

Supply only Earthing Soil Resistivity improvement compound Gel, Enhancement compound Transparent Liquid Jel in 5 Kg packing all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Make -JJ Engineering / SM Infotech / Powertack

Brazing of copper strip using brazing touch suitable temp and using brazing rod all as specified and directed by Engg-in-charge.

Supply and fix in repair mild steel galvanised earth strip of size 32 x 6 mm with epoxy insulators and fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminal including taking down old strip all as directed by Engr-in-charge

Supply and fixing in repair copper earth strip of size 20 x 3 mm with epoxy insulators and fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminals to test point terminal including taking down old strip all as directed by Engr-in-charge

Supply and fix in repair copper earth strip of size 25 x 4 mm for interconnection between the electrode of tripod earthing with nut bolt / brazing all as directed by Engr-in-charge

Supply and fix in repair Aluminium earth strip of size 25x3mm with epoxy insulators and fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminal including taking down old strip all as directed by Engr-in-charge

M&L for marking of earthing pit (GI earth / Copper earth / Chemical earth) with two or more coat synthetic enamel paint, colour & pattern as approved by the Engr-in-Charge, Letter size shall not be less than 50 mm complete all as specified & directed.

Material and labour for renewal of earthing complete with galvanized iron earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m deep below normal ground connected to galvanised mild steel strip 32 x 6 mm by means of bolts nuts check nuts......

.....and washer of galvanized steel, watering pipe of 20 mm bore galvanised iron medium grade and 40 mm bore galvanised iron light grade for earth strip protection including all excavation earth work in any type of soil, PCC pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 and RCC 1:2:4, type B1 for precast chamber cover 50 mm thick, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg / sqm), with charcoal, salt, funnel complete all as shown in the electrical plate No 3 of SSR part –I and testing on completion.

Note:- Quoted rates shall be deemed to include for earth strip with protection pipe up to 7.5 M length

Material and labour for single electrode chemical earthing. The chemical earthing as shown in sketch No.02 will have specification as follows :- (a) Copper electrode of wall thickness minimum 2 mm not less than 3.3 mtr length with not less than 75mm outer dia. filled with maintenance free chemical compound & copper strip of size 50x6mm upto 0.15 mtr above ground electrode.

(b) Fixing of copper Earth Electrode by drilling / boring 250 mm dia hole,upto 05.00 mtr deep in any type of strata, placing electrode in hole, return filling excavated soil by mixing min 20 kg GEL and 100 kg Soil Resistivity Improvement (SRIP) compound as per manufacturer instruction.( Boring in additional after 05 mtr length as per site requirement shall be measured and paid separately.)

(c) FRP earthing result display board 254 x 380mm made out of plastic material showing information related to type of earthing, earthing result, due date of testing along with fixing size 610mm height made of plastic solid pipe of dia 20 mm.

(d) PCC earthing pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 of internal size 300 mm x 300 mm x 300 mm with 120 mm thick wall and 700 mm x 700 mm x 150 mm thick bed concrete and 50 mm thick precast chamber cover of RCC 1:2:4, type B1 for, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg / sqm), complete all as shown in the electrical plate No 3 of SSR part –I complete.

(e) Contractor must visit the site before quoting the tender to understand the difficulty and cost for carrying out the job in the station. It is important that contactor ascertain the quantum of work.

(f) Contractor must produce the certificate from the manufacturer that chemical earthing has been carried out by manufacturer. The manufacturer must also mention the warranty for chemical earthing.

(g) Extension strip from electrode strip up to 0.15 m height from GL to be deemed included in quoted rate including brazing

(h) The earthing result will be obtained for each electrode must be less than 1Ω. Otherwise contractor is liable to do chemical earthing to meet the result.

Note :- (I) Quoted rates shall be deemed to including boring hole up to 5 meter deep from ground level. (ii) In case additional depth of boring is required and directed by Engineer-in-Charge same shall be carried out by the contractor and will be measured & paid separately under respective of this BOQ.

(iii) Additional length of copper strip (50 mm x 6 mm) required due to increase in depth of boring will also be measured & paid separately under respective of this BOQ.

Deployment of manpower, tools / machinery etc, and all connected accessories for drilling bore of 175 mm dia and depth exceeding 5 metre but not exceeding 10 metre below ground level in any kind of soil / strata including hard stone / boulder etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in -charge

Supply and fix copper earth strip of size 50 x 6 mm for extension of existing strip wrt BOQ item No 12 above with nut bolt / brazing all as directed by Engr-in-charge

Supply and fixing in repair Unplasticised PVC pipe of pressure rating 10 kg/cm2 of size 15 mm bore (internal dia) ISI marked laid in trenches / on floor, ceiling etc including with all fitting such as elbow, union reducer tees bends etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in -charge

Supply and fixing in repair Unplasticised PVC pipe of pressure rating 10 kg/cm2 of size 20 mm bore (internal dia) ISI marked laid in trenches / on floor, ceiling etc including with all fitting such as elbow, union reducer, tees, bends, etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in -charge

Supply and fix in repair 15 mm size UPVC half turn cock valve for UPVC pipe and fixed ISI marked complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in -charge

Supply and fix in repair 20 mm size UPVC half turn cock valve for UPVC pipe and fixed ISI marked complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in -charge

Supply and fix in repair 15 mm size PVC perforated caps screw to end of puff or vent pipe fixed on UPVC pipe and its should ISI marked complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in -charge

Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth, for foundation, / laying of pipe / cable etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick using excavated soil all as directed

Removing excavated soil to distance n.exc 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point all as directed.

Supply and fix in repair FRP eartthing result disply board of size 254mm x 380mm made out of plastic material showing the information replated to type of earthing earthing result due date of testing etc along with fixing stand 610mm height made of angle iron fix in ground as per manufacture instruction all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Make Powertec, Sintex or equivalent make approved by the GE

S&F in repair Air termination, single pointed aluminium rod 12 mm dia and 300mm long lightning arrester, screwed for easy fitment and fixing with base plate with 10 mm holes on four corners for necessary fixing arrangement on top / side of PCC block (15cmx15cmx20cm) complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in repair 25 mm size epoxy type insulator suitable for fixing earthing strip including screw etc all as directed by Engr-in-charge
