CIVIL WORK FOR 7.5MX250M RCC ROAD
This BOQ shall be read in conjunction with Technical Specifications and drawings issued separately.
All workmanship shall be first quality and shall conform to all the requirements of this specification (mentioned elsewhere in tender documents).
Contractor shall be deemed to have visited the site prior to submitting his Bid and made all necessary inspection and investigations and to have decided for himself the means of access and working space, the nature of the ground and subsoil, if any, level of water table, extent of rock demolitions, alterations, support of neighbouring properties, etc.
Electricity & construction water required for works shall be free arranged by the Company at one point.
BOQ is provisional, the Payments shall be made as per actual work done at site as per the joint measurement sheet.
Measurement shall be as per net area for isolated and combined footings, provision of slopes and working space, (if required) will not be measured and shall not be paid.
All levels mentioned in GFC drawing are with respect to existing ground level at site or, for trenches and pits, the bottom of mass excavation, whichever deeper. At the time of handing over the site to the Contractor, if in case, any variation, discrepancy between Good For Construction(GFC) and existing site conditions is noticed, the same should be brought to the notice of Engineer-in Charge/ Architects/Consultants in writing.
Levels are to be taken before and after excavation and as directed by Engineer-in-charge for calculating the depth of excavation.
Contractor should obtain JMS with Engineer / QS / Employer prior to the start of excavation of rock.
Contractor shall provide surveyor along with Total Station Instrument along with other surveying equipment at site when required.
Contractor to ensure the salvage of material from existing structure in demolition to the extent possible in consultation with Engineer / Employer. This Material is Property of Employer, Contractor has no right to takeout of the site unless otherwise instructed.
Contractor shall use the latest mechanical means of excavation suitable to achieve the required excavation level within the agreed time period. All such equipment mobilized on the site shall be in perfectly working condition, well maintained, ensuring no down time during the entire agreed working period. A list of all such equipment, manpower, machinery and the proposed infrastructure that the contractor is going to mobilize for the work shall be submitted to the Engineer in charge before start of work for his approval along with the calculations for estimated output per equipment.
The final approved founding strata shall be left absolutely clean by removing loose, slushy soil, murrum and weathered rock with necessary tools & tackles, cleaning the surface by wire brush and carting away debris, dewatering to keep site dry at all times etc. all complete to the approval of Engineer in charge.
The Contractor shall take all necessary measures for the safety of the excavation, persons working, tools and plants working in and near the excavation pits, property and people in the vicinity. Contractor shall provide all health and safety including necessary barricades, protecting excavated areas, signages etc. and contractor shall indemnify employer against any accident, loss, damage to either personnel or property etc.

Filling with approved material including spreading in 150mm layers, wherever applicable as decided by the Engineer, leveling, etc. complete. Preparation of sub-grade and compacting the same with 8 to 10 ton power roller including forming camber and gradients watering and rolling to reach required density complete.(Measurements for compacted volume of space occupied by filling based on certified excavation dimensions)
Providing and laying close graded Granular sub base (GSB), conforming to 25% CBR conforming to grading-2 of table 400-1 of MoSRTH specification laid in layers not exceeding 175 mm thick compacted to 150mm, 2 layers, spreading to level gradient and camber using motor grader, rolling at Optimum Moisture Content using vibratory power roller of 10 - 12 Ton operational weight to acheive not less than 98% proctor density (IS2720 Part-8). including all material, labour, machinery with all leads & lifts etc. complete. all as laid down in Clause 401 of MORTH etc complete as directed by Engineer in charge. (for foundations, plinth and plinth protection)
Providing, mixing and laying plain cement concrete with 40 mm nominal size graded aggregates of approved quality as a leveling course under the column foundation, wall foundation, cable trenches, other trenches, machinery foundations, raft foundations, pipe supports, plinth beam, as floor sub base, Drain etc. including ramming, leveling, curing etc. complete at any level (i.e. up to any depth or height from ground level). Please consider the cost of form work if required any.
Providing and Laying in position high density polyethylene sheets(HDPE SHEET) of 200 microns with 150mm overlaps completely masked using self adhesive tape sheet to be carried on to wall by minimum 50mm above FFL and masked on wall surface for keeping in position to isolate floor from wall.
Providing and laying Reinforced Cement Concrete in floor-TRIMIX(ROAD), flat members upto 175mm thickness etc. in M:25 Grade (using cement not less than 350kg per Cu.m.) using 20mm and downgraded stone aggregates of approved quality, well compacted, mechanically screed vibrated, finished to required levels with + 3MM variation/Undulation, dewatered by vacuum process using approved system, Power trowelled to get desired smooth finishing, use of floor hardness if any, curing, etc., complete with suitable size of panels 3.0 to 4.0M x 20.0M including MS Channel Shuttering with 8mm / 10mm / 12mm dia holes for tie / dowel bars all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer.
Providing, Fabricating & fixing in position Reinforcement Steel for RCC work with Thermo mechanically Treated (TMT) bar of various diameters and grade of steel as specified below conforming to IS specification including straighting, cutting, , bending, hoisting, fabricating and placing in position at all heights & levels according to drawings including preparation of bar bending schedules and obtaining their approval from consultant and binding the reinforcement with GI annealed binding wire in two strands of 18 gauge and providing PVC / cement mortar cover blocks for placing the reinforcements in position and for maintaining the cover specified and/or according to relevant IS. Note : Reinforcement shall be measured only in lengths of bars as actually placed in position on standard weight basis, no allowance being made in the weight for rolling margin, chairs of any shape & profile, spacer bar of any shape & profile. Cover block, wastages and binding wire shall be included in the quoted rate and to include lead, lift, placing at all levels and as per the approved bar bending schedule etc all complete.
Providing, laying and jointing RCC HUME PIPES of NP 2 class with all specials below ground level at all depths including cutting, jointing with hemp yarn & C.M.1:1 and testing including excavation up to Hard rock & refilling, cleaning etc. complete (Only excavation in Hard rock will be paid seperatly in relevent item)

Providing and laying MS dowel bars 16mm dia x 400mm long in expansion joint at 300 mm c/c having 50% of bar length embedded in old concrete and other rin new concrete including fixing MS / PVC pipe sleeve 25mm dia x 225mm long with compressible materials housed on the dowel bar in new concrete all complete as per drawings and specifications (MS dowel bars wil be supplied by the employer)
Providing contraction and construction joints in Concrete floor by cutting grooves 6mm wide x 12mm deep using mechanical concrete cutter, filling the grooves with clean dry sand up to a full depth, removing top 10mm deep sand by appropriate tools/templates, sealing top 6mmx10mm with Polysulphide sealant including cleaning the joints thoroughly, removal of all foreign materials, cleaning the floor surfaces, etc. complete. (The operation shall be carried out as soon as concrete is ready to accept the saw cut without reveling)
Providing expansion joints in concrete floor with Capseal/Shalitex board or equivalent joint filler dipped in bitumen / painted with bituminous paint and filling polysulphide sealant over expansion board including making holes in expansion board for dowel bars wherever required, cleaning the joints thoroughly, removal of all foreign materials, all complete as directed.
Providing, Precasting and fixing in position M20 grade Precast kerbs of length 400mm each in straight road and 300mm to 750mm in curvature as per drawings and architectural details with approved samples. Rate to incluing nominal reinforcement, all leads and lifts, necessary excavation, backfilling ,shuttering, moulds , the bottom of 150 mm curb shall be gruoted with concrete 1:2:4 to hold in position before backfilling, fixing to line and plumb, raking and flush pointing the joints with cement mortar 1:3( 1cement:3sand ), curing ,making provision for pipe sleeves etc , complete all as per drawing. 1) size of kerbstone 150mm thick x 450mm depth X 400 mm long each. Including painting with coat of Primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint in required shade and colour including cleaning surface to make it free from dust, dirt etc., complete all as directed by the consultant and Engineer In Charge.
Providing, drilling & fixing anchor bars in concrete using Hilti HY-150 chemical grout as per as per manufacturer's specifications.
Providing and fixing anchor fasteners of approved make including chemical drilling hole in RCC, finishing the surface etc complete as per the instructions of Engineer-in-Charge.(BY HILTY/FISHER MAKE)
