NOTES / INSTRUCTIONS FOR STRICT COMPLIANCE :- (a) The contractor shall obtain sample approval for all materials incorporating in the work as per condition 10 of IAFW-2249 and Special Condition 11 of tender document mentioned here-in-after. (b) The Engineer-in-charge may direct the contractor in writing to procure and deposit up to 50% quantity of the material with in 30 days from the date of commencment as required at site out of quantity to complete the scope of work. Remaining 50% shall be procured as per site requirement during progress of work.The decision shall be final and binding on the contractor. (c) The contractor shall deposit the procured material to the store of concerned subdivision within 30 days from the receipt of written direction. Failing which contractor shall liable to pay a penal recovery of Rs. 5000/- per week, levied on the dues of contractor, subject to maximum up to 10% of the work done/CA Amount whichever is higher. (d)The contractor shall obtain approval of “Qualified Tradesman” as per condition 26 of IAFW-2249 before commencement of work at site and shall have sufficient manpower such as Electrician / FGM / Technician etc., readily available to meet the site requirement during emergency situation as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. (e) The quoted rates shall be inclusive of cost of necessary Tools, Plants, Safety Equipments, Machinery etc., as per site requirement.

Excavation in trenches, not exc 1.5 m wide and not exc 1.5 m in depth; laying of cable etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft / loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in trenching with soil and including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing of excavated surplus soil to a distance n. exc 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L sand cushioning with River sand in trenches for protection of UG cable and including punning down complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Punned thickness of sand coushioning shall only measured and paid.

Taking out existing un-serviceable XLPE Cable of any size in underground / alongwith pole or in any positon complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- Excavation and earthwork (if required) shall be measured and paid separately.

Laying only old existing serviceable bricks as cable protection laying in cable trenches complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note :- (i) Serviceable bricks obtained from taking down shall be re-used. (ii) Sand cushioning will measured and paid separately.

Supply & laying sub class 'B', class designation 75 bricks of old size, laid over sand cushioning along alignment of cable as protection to cable in trenches including taking out old bricks complete all as specified and directed. Notes : (i) Sand cushioning will measured and paid seperately. (ii) Serviceable brick shall be used for laying only, un-serviceable bricks will be issued to contractor under Schedule of Credit.

S&F 100 mm bore dia galvanised steel tubing, light grade galvanised, laid under road crossing, for cable protection or fixed to poles, walls or laid under floors including taking down existing un-serviceable GI pipe complete all as specified and directed.

M&L earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode of size 60 cm x 60 cmx 6 mm thick buried directly in ground in vertical position (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below the normal ground level) with top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level, connected to earth lead of galvanised iron strip 25 x 4 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel, all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I connected to earthing test point including dismantling existing un-serviceable earthing complete all as specified and directed. Note:- The unit rate shall also include for earth work in any type of soil, PCC 1:2:4 type B1 chamber, RCC 1:1.5:3, type A1 cover slab, 50 mm thick reinforced with 8 mm dia TMT bar @ 140 mm C/C both ways, 10 mm dia plain bar lifting handle embedded in cover slab, Main earthing lead from earth electrode to test point upto 7.5 m length, 20 mm bore medium grade GI watering pipe, 40 mm bore GI light grade earth lead protection pipe, funnel, wire mesh, copper lugs, charcoal and common salt in alternate layer etc.

Supply & laying LT XLPE insulated, armoured heavy duty electric cable with alumimium conductor, 1100 volts grade, cross sectional area 400 Sqmm x 3.5 Core, laid in trenches / passing through pipe / duct / on wall including taking down existing un-serviceable cable complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cutting the tarmac / hard standings in road and excavating trenches across the road in size not exceeding 0.45 m wide and 0.6 m depth for laying cable including refilling earth & making good top surface of the disturbed portion with 100mm thick PCC 1:3:6 or bituminous mix as per existing & matching with the surroundings complete all as specified and directed. Note : Rate quoted shall deemed to inclusive of road cutting of any description, earth work excavation and making good on top with 100 thick PCC complete.

M&L for brick in CM 1:4 rendering using sub class B bricks straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 Mtr mean radius including dismantling old structure complete all as specified and directed.
