Supply & Fixing of Galvanised Steel Barbed Wire, ISI marked A-5 designation for Galvanised steel barbed wire for fencing shall conform to IS 278 – 1978. The barbed wire shall consist of two line wire 2.24 mm dia (Tensile strength 390 – 590 N/mm 2 minimum breaking load of complete barbed wire 3KN), one or both containing 2.00 mm dia barbs at 75 mm centre to centre and weighing 160 to 170 Kg per Km. The barbs shall have a length of not less than 13 mm and not more than 18 mm. The line and point wires shall be circular in section, free from scales and other defects and shall be uniformly galvanised. The line wire shall be in continuous length and shall not contain any welds other than those in the rod before it is drawn. The galvanising shall conform to the requirement as laid down for light – coated wire of IS 4826 – 1968 `Specification for galvanised coating on round steel wires. Barbing wire(line) shall be hard type heavy coated (230 gm/sqm) and barbing wire (point) shall be hard type light coated (70 gm/sq m). The Galvanised barbed wire will be in bundles of 25 to 30 Kgs each but not less than average weight of 27.5 Kgs and the bundles will be packed in hessian cloth, the bundles should be strong enough to withstand rough handling during transportation. Every reel of barbed wire shall be marked legibly with BIS standard make the name of manufacturer, the type of barbed wire, the diameter of the line and point wires, barb spacing and length and/or mass of the reel. Supply only Chain Link Mesh (a) The mesh wire of the fabric shall be manufactured from galvanized steel wire confirming to IS:280 having a tensile strength within the range of 400 to 550MPs. The selvage shall be one end of the fabric knuckled and the other twisted. The mesh size shall be 50mm x 50mm with tolerance + 4mm. The mesh size shall be determine by measuring the minimum clear distance between the wires forming the parallel sizes of the mesh when measured in nominal stretched condition. The fabric shall be supplied in widths of 2.00 m (6ft 7 inches ) with tolerance + 35mm. The width of fabric shall be the over all dimension from one extreme line shall be checked in fully stretched condition. The fabric shall be supplied in rolls of 15m. The supplied length shall not be less than the above value when measured in fully stretched condition. The nominal dia of wire mesh 4mm and for line wire 3.15mm tolerance permitted on the dia meter of mesh and line wire shall be as given in IS:280. Each roll shall be warranted to contain no weld joint or splice whatsoever. The wire shall be circular and shall be free from the scales, irregularities, imperfection, flaws sand splits and other defects. The zinc coating shall be smooth, even and bright. The rush formation of the cut ends of the wire at the fabric selvage and inherent characteristics of this material and do not warrant rejection of the fabric, The fabric shall be provided with having coated galvanized line wires to act as additional selvage to strength then the fabric when used for fencing purposes . The line wires may be supplied separately in coil/bundle to be used for fencing purposes. The line wire to be inserted after erecting the fabric with straining post, Two numbers of line wires to be provided one each the top and the botton of fabric. The chain link fence fabric shall have zinc coating of type heavy as given in IS : 4826 or in IS:12723.(9600Kg/KM) (1 Sqm = 4.8 Kg + 0.2) including MS round bar 10mm dia at at top & bottom end of chain link fence complete all as specified and directed by site Engineer-in-Charge

Fixing only chain link fencing including line wires, any mesh, size and type to any type of standards, rails, straining bolts, etc. including provission of binding wire as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed by site Engineer-in-Charge

Mild steel Fe-410-W(Gde- E-250) quality-B in flat, 10mm dia and over round or square bars, in available lengths as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed by site Engineer-in-Charge

Supply & fixing MS Flat iron 50x6mm use for fixing of chain link fence as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed by site Engineer-in-Charge

Material & Labour for two coat of synthetic anamel paint over one coat red oxide primer over new iron surfaces surfaces of any description, n.exc 10cm in width or girth when connected with other painting or when painted in a different tint as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed by site Engineer-in-Charge

Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) in water & liquid mud soil each n exc 0.5 cu. m, getting out, returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm, as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed by site Engineer-in-Charge

Material & Labour for PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as filling for foundation of angle post in water or liquid mud as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed by site Engineer-in-Charge

Supply only Rapidite quick setting liquid as per manufracture instruction complete all as specified. Notes for Ser NO 1.00 to 13.00 :- The Works for Fd Security Fence (Chain Link) has been carried out at Defence Land . The following point to be kept in mind by vendor while quoting the rate against each items mentioned below :- (a) The work to be execuated in water & liquid mud or foul positions or in tidal conditions . Hence, bidders to visit site before quoating rate of the tender and the quoted rates shall be be inclusive of work execuation in water and liquid mud and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. The quoted rates shall also be inclusive of dewatering, bailing out and pumping the water and removing of mud without extra payment to the bidder by Department. (c) Presently standing water upto a level of 1' (one feet) height available at entire site where execuatoin of work carry out. (d) Proper pumping work to be carry out at site during execuation of work. (e) All precautions to be taken while carry out work like execuation, laying concrete and other work in water as per guide line issued from time to time by higher Headquater .
