SCOPE OF WORK One Qualified Bridge Engineering Consultation Agency / Consortium /Group is required for arranging, conducting and submissions of phase-wise (from Preliminary Survey- to final completion and successful opening to traffic) consultancy for new bridge to be constructed in the districts of Darjeeling under NBDD as per following list 1. To take a visit for Reconnaissance Survey and put up Preliminary Feasibility Report just after inspection in PPT form [Time - within 7th Day]. 2. To conduct Detailed Survey with Total Station Surveying instrument on the proposed recommended waterway' with approach as per relevant IRC guidelines, to prepare Index Map, Site Plan, Topographical Map etc. required and nearest catchment area map (from Google Map). To collect Traffic Data & Hydrologic Data and river characteristics data including Flood Flow data [Time - within 14thDay]. 3. To submit GAD (General Arrangement Drawings) of SPAN-SCHEME by fixing waterways with suitable structure and approach proposals. (Contouring Longitudinal &Cross-Sections as per IRC guidelines, exact hindrance like existing structure, buildings and utility service lines like PHE / Electric lines etc. And other obstructions like bushes, hedges, trees, etc. are to be plotted in Site Map) [Time - within 28thDay]. 4. To clear Waterway approval after submission in proper form from CDO (Central Design Office, Saltlake, Kolkata) Irrigation & Waterways Dept or local office of respective Districts [Time –before preparation of DPR].

5. To prepare and submit Land Map with Land Schedule of detailed information (involving plots with affected area thereon) of plots involved within structure of bridge proper construction and approach area with detailed sketch of obstruction like existing structure, utility service lines. Necessary detailed data, relevant information should have to be collected from respective LA/BLLRO office & other offices with requisition done from the EE, NBDD [Time - within 45thDay]. 6. To submit the Clearance certificate from Forest Department after submission in proper form from West Bengal forest department or local office of the respective District[Time - within 45thDay]. 7. To submit the BOQ of Soil Test (boring for soil exploration @ 30/50/100m c/c, as may be fixed by NBDD authority, should be done for 20/30m below the foundation.) with proper boring point location drawings duly recommended by Expert and approved by NBDD authority [Time - within 45thDay].

11. To certify a NOTE from Bridge Engineer on utmost accuracy, completeness & correctness and assured safety and level of performance over its expected life, that the DPR has covered all necessary, probable, costs, necessary allied works like diversion or else and fully equipped measures in terms of efficient quick completion of project. 12. To submit minimum ten copies and this should be submitted as DPR documents & all drawings (in colors). Soft copies in editable format should also to be deposited for modifications/alterations needed from the department of NBDD. Necessary modifications are to be done as per recommendations of NBDD. 13. To conduct individual Power Point program for discussion of every aspects of that said bridge on scheduled date fixed by NBDD at NBDD office. 14. To assist the scrutiny / checking of the design and estimates whenever required by NBDD or Finance Dept or what so ever and to appear before the examining authorities whenever called on. 15. To prepare tender documents and BOQ for tender process for Construction of the said Bridge. To extend the consultancy during execution periodically and certify the construction process and its test as per IS/ IRC relevant codal provisions 16. To submit the fitness certificate after construction of the bridge. 17. To get engaged till the successful opening FORMAL INAUGURATION of the Bridge. All modifications and re-submissions as per direction as the case may be should be under this Contract.
