NOTES / INSTRUCTIONS FOR STRICT COMPLIANCE :- (a) The contractor shall obtain sample approval for all materials incorporating in the work as per condition 10 of IAFW-2249 and Special Condition 11 of tender document mentioned here-in-after. (b) The Engineer-in-charge may direct the contractor in writing to procure and deposit up to 50% quantity of the material with in 30 days from the date of commencment as required at site out of quantity to complete the scope of work. Remaining 50% shall be procured as per site requirement during progress of work.The decision shall be final and binding on the contractor. (c) The contractor shall deposit the procured material to the store of concerned subdivision within 30 days from the receipt of written direction. Failing which contractor shall liable to pay a penal recovery of Rs. 5000/- per week, levied on the dues of contractor, subject to maximum up to 10% of the work done/CA Amount whichever is higher. (d)The contractor shall obtain approval of “Qualified Tradesman” as per condition 26 of IAFW-2249 before commencement of work at site and shall have sufficient manpower such as Electrician / FGM / Technician etc., readily available to meet the site requirement during emergency situation as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. (e) The quoted rates shall be inclusive of cost of necessary Tools, Plants, Safety Equipments, Machinery etc., as per site requirement.

Excavation in trenches, not exc 1.5 m wide and not exc 1.5 m in depth; laying of cable etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft / loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in trenching with soil and including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing of excavated surplus soil to a distance n. exc 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L sand cushioning with River sand in trenches for protection of UG cable and including punning down complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Punned thickness of sand coushioning shall only measured and paid.

Supplying and laying un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover, class HV, Type 1, flat, of size 300mmx 180mm x 40mm, laid along alignment of cable as protection to cable in trenches complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cutting the tarmac / hard standings in road and excavating trenches across the road in size not exceeding 0.45 m wide and 0.6 m depth for laying cable including refilling earth & making good top surface of the disturbed portion with 100mm thick PCC (1:3:6) type C1 (40 mm graded stone aggregate) or bituminous mix as per existing & matching with the surroundings complete all as specified and directed. Note : Rate quoted shall deemed to inclusive of road cutting of any description, earth work excavation and making good on top with 100 thick PCC complete.

S&F 100 mm bore dia galvanised steel tubing, light grade galvanised, laid under road crossing, for cable protection or fixed to poles, walls or laid under floors including taking down existing un-serviceable GI pipe complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & laying XLPE insulated, screened, PVC bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cables (heavy duty) with aluminium conductor, 11000 volts, Earthed, grade cross sectional area 120 Sqmm, 3 core, laid in trenches / duct / on pole / on wall including taking out existing unserviceable cable complete all as specified and directed.

Labour / Technician only for identifying, diagnosing, tracing, checking & rectifying High Tension (11KV) faults, tracing location by meggering the lines, faults in panels, VCB`s, Transformers and other switchgears at any location, any time round the clock and rectifying it to restore the supply within time limit at various locations using appropriate fault locator, cable route locator etc complete all as specified and directed. Note:- 1. All the activities to trace the fault, rectifying & restoring the supply shall be carried out within specific reasonable time as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 2. The cost of required tools (T& P), minor items such as lugs, nuts, bolts, HT insulation tape and safety equipments required for the job shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted against this item & nothing extra shall be paid to contractor by the department on these ground. 3. Safety of manpower deployed for the job is contractor’s responsibility. In case of any accident / Fatal injury, contractor shall be held responsible to settle all claims and nothing extra shall be paid to the contractor on this account. 4. The cost of all manpower (any number) for the job is deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate. 5. The cost of Fault identification by use of fault locator (if needed) is catered in separate Items. 6. Minimum one VCB / RMU technician, one Transformer Technician & one cable Jointer must be available round the clock during rectification process of fault if respective fault occurs.

M&L for detecting HT / LT UG cable faults located in any stretch / depth with sophisticated cable fault locator consisting of microprocessor based pre-locator system, HV surge generator, fault pin point surge wave receiver, cable identification instrument , cable tracer for exact location of under ground cable routes complete all as directed. Note:- The rate quoted deemed to be inclusive of arrangement of necessary fault locator equipment, transportation of equipment & charges for service engineer.

M&L with replacement of 6mm thick synthetic rubberized cork sheet gasket for top cover, HT/LT bushes for transformer of capacity 100 to 800 KVA including tightening all the bushings and top cover to avoid any oil leakages complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs off load tap changer assembly suitable for transformer of capacity upto 800 KVA as per existing with 5 tapping position including opening top cover, conservator etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for transportation of faulty transformer of any capacity from sub station to factory (approx distance 20 to 30 Kms) after disconnecting, closing the transformers for loading into transporting vehicle with the help of crance, transportation to factory, bringing back the same transformer safely after necessary repari / tests, unloading, re-installation, making necessary HT/LT connections, earth connections and restoration of power supply including all T&P required complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for isolating the HT supply of outdoor type transformer of capacity 100 to 800 KVA, disconnecting HT and LT connections by opening clamps, bus bar extension and isolating the cables, keeping all the cables out from the HT/LT sides, physically checking of transformer for healthiness such as checking pressure release valve, oil condition etc. and performing transformer tests such as HV/LV megger test, ratio test, magnetic balance test, checking the lead condition from winding to bus rods, necessary soldering / jointing etc complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i) All testing shall be done in presence of Engr-in-Charge or his accredited rep and test reports shall be signed by contractor and Engr-in-Charge and kept on record. (ii) If the transsformer found satisfactory then HT/LT connections, assembly etc shall be done by the contractor and transformer shall be charged. (iii) If the transformer fails in these tests then the contractor has to shift the transsformer for winding / overhauling which shall be measured and paid separately. (iv) Cost of winding / overhauling if required shall be measured and paid separately. (v) The cost of Transportation of Transformer to & from the workshop if needed is deemed to be included in the unit rates quoted.

Supply and topping up of transformer oil with di-electric strength not less than 60 KV in 2.5mm rod gap into the conservator tank / body tank of the transformer / OCB / FRMUs etc at various locations complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Filtration of transformer oil of transformers / FRMUs installed at various locations to achieve di-electric strength not less than 60 KV at 2.5mm gap as per relevant IS with portable filtration plant, testing of the oil for the di-electric strength before filtration and after filtration complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in repair brass spindle / studs for terminal on HT side threaded complete with nut, washers etc of suitable dia for transformer capacity of 100 - 400 KVA including taking down existing un-serviceable brass spindlecomplete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Note :- Colour of paint shall be as decided by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for rewinding of distribution transformers of any capacity / size / type by strip opening & rewinding the HV coils (i.e. primary coils) from core assembly safely, removing old defective insulation paper, re-winding the coils with new copper wire as per I.S. of same gauge and existing size together with new insulated materials / bracings before placing in to the transformer and assembling the coil with new DPC insulation and fitting the coils in the chamber, testing and commissioning the transformer and recording the test results complete all as directed. Note: M&L for re-insulation of serviceable coils will be measured & paid separately under relevant items.

M&L for re-insulating windings of HT / LT distribution transformers of any capacity by strip opening of HT / LT coils (i.e. Primary / secondary coils) from core assembly safely, unwinding the HT / LT coils (i.e. Primary / secondary coils) complete, removing the old defective insulation paper and replacing with new DPC insulation to the copper conductor, re-varnishing of the windings with super varnish including heating, drying, backing complete carefully and thoroughly inside the heating chamber at suitable temperature to obtain required value of insulation resistance etc. all as directed by Engr-in- charge.
