Cutting for structure in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for clause 305.1 to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of useful material for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner including arrangement of dumping site, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in charge for smooth riding. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried,out true to lines,grades,side slopes, width, camber super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge,in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road. clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 of general conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal and dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner,trimming,filling of unevenness,blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer -in -Charge for smooth riding. The recovery for stones,whether useful or not, for 3962.28 cum(three thousand nine hundred sixty two point two eight cubic metre)in all cases,@ rupees 170/- only(Rupees one hundred seventy only) per cubic meter shall be effected on pro- rata basis in all circumstances . Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring seepage rain and other causes it shall be remove by suitable diversion bailing out or pumping as directed and the area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of excavation shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

M-10 (ten) nominal mix 1:3:6 (one cement : three sand: six graded stone aggregate 20mm (twenty millimeter)nominal size for plain /reinforced concrete in open foundations and plinths or similar works complete as per drawings and technical specification for rural roads August 2004 clause 802, 803, 1202 and 1203 and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete Mechanically mixed and vibrated C.C. M-25 (twenty five) nominal mix 1 :1½ : 3 (one cement : one and half sand: three graded stone aggregate 20mm (Twenmty millimeter)nominal size for reinforced concrete in super structure or similar works complete as per drawings and technical specification clause 800, 1205 & 1205.5 and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specifications based on standared data book ( MoRTH) with batching plant,transit mixer and concrete pump. Providing and laying concrete Mechanically mixed and vibrated P.C.C. nominal mix 1 :5 : 10 (one cement : five sand: ten graded stone aggregate 40mm ( twenty millimeter nominal size)for plain /reinforced concrete in retaining walls, breast wallsand plinths or similar works complete as per drawings and H.P.PWD specification and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of materials in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Preparation of sub /grade by dressing to comber(earth work for the cutting involved for sub-grade to be paid for separately depending upon the classification of soil completed as per HP.PWD specifications including the cost of form work and hauling of materials through all modes of transportation within all leads and lifts and as per the entire satisfaction and directions of Engineer -in-Charge.

Providing, laying and rolling of open-graded premix carpet of 20 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm to 5.6 mm aggregates either using penetration grade bitumen or emulsion to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 kN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B or Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 508 MoRD .by mechanical means.
