REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF DRAINS AND PMBE IN FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS AT AFS JAMNAGAR

NOTE: (i) Contractor shall note that work on runway maintenance will be permitted only on Saturday, Sunday, holiday and Non flying days of week days. Contractor shall plan the execution of work accordingly and no misunderstanding shall be entertained and contactor’s quoted rate shall be deemed to be included this provision.

(ii) Work may be executed at different locations for repair of small portions / patches in restricted area.

M&L for cleaning the surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with compressor air blower to remove all loose dust and dirt etc., taking out dust / existing material with compressed air and making the surface free from dust, drying the surface and laying First Coat by Spreading the solution of PME mixed with mineral powder ( if recommended) on cleaned surface by spraying machine and moping with a specially designed mopper to ensure a uniform finish surface in first coat application with 0.6 Ltr (undiluted) PME diluted in 0.60 Ltr water to be applied uniformly on 1.0 Sqm area mixed with mineral filter as recommended by........

.......manufacturer's of PME and ensure uniform finish of PME on flexible surface with mechanical application through spraying machine and using specially designed mopper for mopping the surface The surface should be left clear for minimum 4 to 6 hours for drying the 1st coat. Applied quantity may be consumed on account of exhaustive penetration/consumption by the voids and cracks in the surface. All as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and directed.

MAKE : M/s Hindustan Colas Pvt Ltd , M/s L N Petrochem Pvt Ltd , M/s Ooms Polymer Modified Bitumen Pvt Ltd Note:- The tenderer shall take into consideration for the following points while quoting his rate for this item:- (a) Friction parameters shall be between 0.30-0.60 after application of PME. Contractor will make necessary arrangement for procurement of Portable Skid resistance Tester (PSTR) and carry out necessary testing as directed without any extra cost to Govt.

(b) The work shall be carried out only through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufacturer. In case of non availability of applicators, the approval will be obtained from E-in-C's Branch. (c) Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks upto 5mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer's instructions. Rate quoted by the tenderer is deemed to include the cost of the same.

(d) Two year warrantee of materials performance and application performance shall be obtained by the contractor from the authorized manufacturer's of PME. Warrantee will include the facts that structure will remain water tight & no further cracks will be formed, excluding damage caused by natural calamities. Permeability Test (ASTM D 2434) to be concluded on the surface prior and after to application of treatment. (e) A performance guarantee for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified.

All as per item No 1 here-in-before but for second coat with 0.4 Ltr (undiluted) PME diluted in 0.40 Ltr water to be applied uniformly on 1.00 Sqm area (Second coat will be applied separately) after drying and setting of first coat.

........ the PMBE uniformly and mopping the total undiluted PMBE @ 0.50 litre per sqm in one coat (diluted quantity 1.00 litre / Sqm) dully diluted in ratio 1:1 (PMBE 1 litre : water 1 litre) and ensure uniform finish of total area complete all as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and directed. M&L for scarifying the existing pothole of length, width & depth exc 10 mm and not exc 100 mm in size in all direction removing loose material by cutting damaged portion and spoiled edges and applying tack coat of rapid setting primer (RS1) with using pump sprayer or brush covering all area as directed. Filling with dense asphaltic mix of aggregate size not exceeding 4.75 grading mixed with polymer modified bitumen 40 of 6% binder contents. The hole shall be compacted with hammer blow of 25 kg and removing excess material from runway etc all as specified and diredted.

S & F self adhesive cold applied polymer modified high tack bituminous instant runway / Tarmac crack sealing tape of 100 mm width, 2 Kpa quick release film on runway / pavement/tarmac crack to form high strength water proof layer complete all as specified and directed Make : Surebond or equivalent as approved by GE.

M&L for preparation of old painted surface of concrete pavement / black bituminous pavements / plastered surfaces etc over 10 cm width or girth by brooming down or steel wire brushing, mechanical scrapper, scraping down smoke soot, mouls, moss and efflorescent salts and treating oil and greasy spots and applying water based road marking paint of any tint and any colour as approved in lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc by using runway / road marking machine, all as specified and directed. Make: APCOTRAK WBR manufactured by Asian Paints or equivalent of make Jenson & Nicholson paints Pvt Ltd / Nerolac

All as per item No 6 above including removal of existing paint but width / girth not exceeding 10 cm.

Cleaning of PCC drain not exceeding 1.5 metre deep by removing deposited soft / loose soil and other foreign materials not exc 30 cm deep and average 15 cm deep and removal of excavated material to a distance exc 250 m but n.exc 500 m complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge Note:- width of bottom of drain multiplied by the length of drain cleaned shall be measured for payment.

Demolition of brick work or stone masonry built in cement mortar including all quoins, pillars, arches etc. but excluding ashlar facings, dressed stone work and precast concrete articles.

M & L for precast cement concrete solid block masonry 1:5:8 (Type D5) straight or curved on plan exc 6 m mean radius, exc 10 cm width and set inCM (1:6) all as specified and directed.

Taking down cement plaster of any description on brick or stone wall etc. including racking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water, etc.

M & L for rendering 15 mm thick on fair faces of brick work or concrete surface.

M & L for cement concrete (1:2:4) Type B1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate ) in copings including use of form work, including weathering slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating as directed.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) of any description & in any position not otherwise specifically provided for

M&L cement concrete in surface channels and drains type B1 (1:2:4) using 20 mm graded stone aggregate.
