Providing and laying silicone based weatherproof treatment on existing sandstone in laboratory building and minor civil works in field area at NABI

Providing, applying two or more coats of solvent based transparent silicon water repellent coating on the porous red sandstone wet cladding for prevention of water seepage, dampness, prevention of algae, dirt, removal of existing silicone and retaining the original colour, pattern of natural sandstone etc. (Make Dow Sil Z 6689/Wacker BS 295/Akemi Ferrolit). The ratio of silicone water repellent to solvent shall be 1:19 for Dow Sil Z 6689 (ie 1 Part of repellent Dow Sil Z 6689 : 19 parts of toilene solvent )or as per manufacturers specification for other makes. The solvent ie toilene is an immflamable material, hence, it is reponsibility of bidder to place same under advised temperature, other conditions of manufacturer in its own custody . No such material shall be allowed to be stored in any buildings. The solvent shall be used after written certificate from manufacturer ie aforesaid manufacturers along with their purchase certificate from them only. Before procurement of material, successful bidder shall within 07 days time provide hard copies of material's specifications, literature for approval from Engineer-in-Charge. The cost includes cost for Cleaning T & P, scaffolding, GST, other taxes & its manitinance cost (Jet Pump, electrice cable, horse pipe, water pipe, Nozel, safety belt Rope & maintenance cost and safety machine, protection for window etc.). In case of any discoluration/hard soiling on sandstone, the same shall be grinded properly with mechanical scrubbers & applying fine silica if required. In case of any damage to institute's property ie glass, stone etc, the same shall be fixed/rectified by bidder without any additional cost. The cost should also include removal & re-laying of horizontally (projections) laid sandstone with adequate slope as per CPWD specifications as per directions of Engineer-in-charge. No extra cost for any additional work that may be required during execution shall be paid and shall be deemed to be included in quoted rates. The total defect liability period for this item shall be 05 years from date of completion as per NIT.

Filling the gap/groove in between existing sandstones, and/or adjacent granite/glazing/joinery etc by providing weather proof expandable non sag elastomeric transparent silicone (Make Dow Sil 789/Wacker/Momentive-GE) with primerless adhesion – upon curing will form a strong bond to most common building components without the use of a primer, Long-life reliability – cured sealant stays elastomeric from -50°C to 150°C without hardening, cracking or becoming brittle under normal weather conditions, having Low Modulus – with extension/compression capability up to ±50% of original joint width , Excellent weatherability, virtually unaffected by sunlight, rain, snow, ozone over backer rod ( where depth is more if required)including cost of scaffolding, labour wastage, masking tape as per direction of Engineer-in-charge complete, complying to ASTM , DIN & ISO etc complete in all aspects. The surface of application to be cleaned, should be free of any dust, oil, bird excreta, existing silicone etc. The cost includes cost for Cleaning T & P , scaffolding, GST, other taxes & its manitinance cost (Jet Pump, electrice cable, horse pipe, water pipe, Nozel safety belt Rope & maintenance cost and safety machine for window etc.). The work carries a warranty/defect liability period of 05 years from date of completion as recorded by Engineer-in-charge. Bidder is advised to verify the groove sizes , application site, understand nature of work before quoting. No additional payments shall be made for any variation in groove sizes, for extra floow height and any T & P or other overheads that may arrive during execution of work. No extra cost for any additional work that may be required during execution shall be paid and shall be deemed to be included in quoted rates. The total defect liability period for this item shall be 05 years from date of completion as per NIT.

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundation etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead up to 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:4:8 (1 Cement : 4 coarse sand (zone-III) : 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size)

Excavating, supply and filling of local earth (including royalty) by mechanical transport to site also including ramming and watering of the earth in layers not exceeding 20 cm in trenches, plinth, sides of foundation etc. complete.

Providing and laying factory made chamferedge Cement Concrete paver blocks in footpath, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc, of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over 50mm thick compacted bed of sand, compacting and proper embedding/laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibratory, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver block as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand. complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. 80 mm thick C.C. paver block of M-30 grade with approved

Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete etc as per direction of Engineer-in-charge (length of finished kerb edging shall be measured for payment). (Precast C.C. Kerb stone shall be approved by Engineer-in-charge).

Steel work in built up tublar (round, square or rectangular hollow tubes etc., including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer, 2 or more coats of enamel paint including welding and bolted with special shaped washers etc. complete. 52 mm thick cement concrete flooring with concrete hardener topping, under layer 40mm thick cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size ) and top layer 12 mm thick cement hardener consisting of mix 1:2 ( 1 cement hardner mix : 2 graded stone aggregate 6 mm nominal size) by volume, hardening compound mixed @ 2 litre per 50 kg of cement or as per manufacturer's specifications.
