• Must be a scanning spectrophotometer covering the wavelength range 190-1100nm • The system should be of a double-beam, 50/50 beam-splitter design • The spectrophotometer must have variable spectral bandwidth between 0.5 and 20nm • The instrument should have specification to 4A for wide dynamic range • The optical system must be sealed and quartz-coated • Silicon photo diode detectors for sample and reference beams • It is desirable that the source lamps are pre-aligned and user replaceable • A stray light of≤0.01%T220,340&370 is a must • Wavelength accuracy at least ±0.1nm is essential • Photometric accuracy of ±0.003 at 1A and ±0.005 at 2A is necessary • The instrument must have a stability of at least 0.0003A/hour • Photometric noise at 700nm (0A) must be less than 0.00005A • The system must have PC control via a USB interface • IQ\OQ must be available with the option to use standard tests as specified in the pharmacopoeias during Operational Qualification (OQ) • Self-test during instrument start-up providing both visual test sequence and external indication when instrument is ready for operation • The ability to correct for blanks in real-time is essential. This necessitates 2 sample holders in the sample compartment, one for the sample and one for the reference. • The sample compartment must be completely sealed to prevent accidental spillages into the optical system • Optics should be contained in a sealed enclosure for extended life • Must provide extended warranty and service contract options • Accessories must have auto-align capability and software recognition • 50 mm Integrating Sphere should be included with the system for solid samples like powders, films etc. A powder sample holder also should be available. • 1 Pair of quartz cuvette to be included. • Suitable PC with latest Windows OS should be provided. • Service engineers details stationed in Kerala should be furnished . Training certificate is mandatory. • An on-site, parts and labour warranty of at least 24 months is essential •Branded Desktop PC (i5 / 16GB/ 512GB NVMe, Monitor, K/M)
