COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE OF DG SETS AT CERTAIN LOCATION AT AFS TEZPUR UNDER GE (AF) TEZPUR

Comprehensive maintenance for a period of twelve months for DG sets of capacity 320/380/400/500 KVA, installed at various locations by cleaning, oiling, greasing, topping, leak repair and including replacement of spares parts, check the level of coolant in radiator, repairs to leakage etc., gaskets and oil seals, servicing / repair of the water pump, alternator, auto voltage regulator, battery maintenance by topping up of electrolite solution, rectification of engine oil leakage and topping up of engine oil, repair of AMF and control panel of DG set by replacing with suitable size of copper wire including repair/ replacement of toggle switch etc. and connected accessories through Authorised Original Equipment manufacturer's service centre engineers or through OEM certified agencies as approved by GE, complete all as specified and directed. (OEM: Kirloskar) Note: (i) Spare parts shall be measured and paid separately under respective items as shown below. (ii) Labour charges for dismantling / taking down and replacement/ refixing of new spare parts as and when required as deemed to be included in unit rate quoted. (iii) Cost of all consumable items like cotton, waste cloth, kerosine oil etc. deemed to be included in unit rate quoted.

NOTES:- (Applicable for BOQ Serial Item No. 1 to 5 here in before) (i) Preventive and corrective maintenance : The authorised service Engineer of OEM or OEM certified agencies shall visit the site once in four months i.e. quarterly for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on all the units installed at site. This includes maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and electronic parts/ sub-assemblies i.e. Engine, AMF Panle, Alternator, Control Panel etc. The preventive maintenance report will be as per the Original Equipment Manufacturer's instructions and as specified in particular specifications. The contractor may claim payment on quarterly basis. In that case, the payment shall be made with pro-rata basis on quoted rates. (ii) Breakdown maintenance : The Authorised Service Engineer of OEM or OEM Certified Agencies will carry out all breakdown maintenance after receiving information (written or oral) from GE (AF) Tezpur officials or their representatives. The OEM's authorised service representative or OEM certified agencies will carry out the required repairs of the units and appraise GE, Engineer-in-Charge and JE the status of the break down repairs at site. No payment shall be made on account of any breakdown service during comprehensive maintenence period. (iii) Calibration of fuel injection system, servicing of injector nozzles, repair of radiator, overhauling of self starter, replacement of engine wiring system and top overhauling of engine, the scope of which are already included in this BOQ will be excluded from the scope of work under these items. (iv) Spares required for replacement will be measured and paid seperately under respective items of this BOQ.
