Maintenance and servicing of under mentioned Diesel Generator sets including connected Alternator, and carrying out routine 'A' check of the engine complete for smooth functioning all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed. NOTES :- (a) Control switches such as MCCB, Main switch, contactors, multi display meter and engine control unit shall be out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall exclusive of servicing/ maintenance of the above said fittings. (b) Servicing of DG set along with connected Alternator and Panel Board including 'A' check of the Engine shall be carried out once in every month as required / directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenance period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance works as and when required in that period except in case of major repairs.

(c) Spare parts required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (d) Cost of all consumables required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (e) List of checks to be carried out under 'A' check is attached as Appendix 'A' to the Particular specifications.

Servicing of DG Set alonwith connected Alternator and Panel Board including items covered in 'A' check of the Engine shall also be carried out in that month as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenance period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG Set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance works as and when required in that period except in case of Major repairs. (c) Spare parts, engine oil, distilled water and radiator coolant oil required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares/filling of oils shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item.
