Excavation in foundation and trenches etc.(in pipes and pits) in all kinds of soils such as pick work, jumper work, blasting in soft/hard rock, chiselling/wedging out of rock/where blasting prohibited) saturated soil stacking the excavated soil as directed by the Engineer-in-charge clear from the edge of excavation and then returning the stacked soil in 15cm layers when required into plinth sides of foundation etc. consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated earth as directed by the Engineer –in-charge in all leads and lifts

Providing, Laying , jointing & testing of bevel edged MSERW pipe with circumfrential butt welded joints by electric arc welding with in ( welding thickness shall be equal to pipe wall thickness ) and welding MS flanges at every 100 mtr pipes & testing of MSERW pipe of following dia mtr conforming to IS 1978 , steel grade YST -210 ( latest with upto date amendments ) having wall thickness as specified below and capable of with standing required test pressur in a random length 5.5 top 6.5 mtrs, including manufacturing and fabrication of reducers/tapers, all short pieces etc. as per site requirements made from parent tubes. as per direction of the Engineer- in- charge. The laying of pipe shall also include flanges joints duly welded in in three layers ( two inner & one outer ) where aver required , fabrication of Tee i/c nuts and bolts and gasket and all operations such as cutting , welding, jointing, fabrication of bends, tees i.e. lowering & laying in excavated trenches to ensure required level i/c flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge ( Earth work in trenches will be measured and paid for seperately). The pipes shall be factory galvanized ( Zinc coating both inside and outside ) as per relevant IS standard and the damaged portion of the pipes and specials ( if damaged during laying, jointing & operation of pipe) made from the parent tube, shall be provided two coat of anti corrosive bituminious paint over a priming coat as per AWWA specification C-203 -1978 . the welding electrod shall be as per IS 814 of Advani Oerlikon / L&T or ISI marked make . The rates also includes entire carriage of material, flushing, cleaning & hydraulic testing. DP test of butt welded joints complete in all respect and to the best satisfaction & direction of Engineer-in-Charge with in all leads and lifts. Note Negetive Tolerance of wall thickness should not be nore than +/-3%.
