REPAIR / MAINTENANCE OF SOLAR WATER HEATER, GEYSER AND VARIOUS WATER SUPPLY E/M INSTALLATION AT AF-I UNDER GE (AF) JAMNAGAR NO.2

Comprehensive maintenance of storage type electric water heater (geyser) comprising of the following checks/test including repair to unsv parts/components at different locations under GE (AF) Jamnagar No.2. (i) Taking down geysers from existing position after disconnecting all electrical & water supply connection. (ii) Opening / dismantling & cleaning of all parts & checking for its serviceability. (iii) Cleaning / descaling of inner tank with descaling solution & water leakage testing of tank & rectification of leakage.Testing of thermostat for serviceability. (iv) Checking of pressure release valves & non return valve etc. to ensures free movement / smooth operation of these components. (v) Checking of overflow / vent pipes and removing blockages / obstructions if any. (vi) Reassembling the geyser, replacement of minor spare part such as nut, bolt, screw, rubber packing etc & refixing in same position, reconnecting with electric & water supply connection complete all as specified and directed.

Note: All major defective unserviceable components such as thermostat, storage tank, heating elements, safety valves etc required for replacement shall be measured and paid separately as supply only under respective items of this BOQ, however quoted rates shall be deemed to includes for minor spare parts such as nut- bolts, screw, glands, packing etc.The following capacity of storage water heater are catered for as under:-

Supply only heating element of 1 or 1.5 KW capacity including rubber washers ISI marked as per sample for existing complete all as specified and directed. Make : ABC / Speer Hot / Crown / Power Pack

Supply only heating element of 2 KW capacity including rubber washers ISI marked as per sample for existing complete all as specified and directed. Make : ABC / Speer Hot / Crown / Power Pack

Supply only storage tank made out of copper sheet and confirming to IS- 2082 (1973), suitable for 25 litres capacity geysers complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only storage tank made out of copper sheet and confirming to IS- 2082 (1973), suitable for 50 litres capacity geysers complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only apparatus plate suitable for 25 litres capacity geysers as per sample for existing item complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only 15 mm dia PVC flexible connection pieces with PTMT hexagonal adopters and washer at both sides, 450 mm long complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only brass chromium plated connection pieces with brass hexagonal adopters and washer at both side, suitable for 15 mm dia pipe and 450 mm long complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only brass non return valve 15 mm dia, ISI marked suitable for geysers complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for insulation material (Glass wool) for geysers of any capacity including removing old insulating material all as per manufacture instruction complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour painting of Geyser outer body cover blades by scrapping of old paint, filling of cavities formed,preparation / cleaning of surface, making surface smooth and spray painting with one coat of white synthetic enameled paint of superior quality and writing MES /SM No with appropriate size letters using black paint complete all as specified and directed. The painting shall be carried out to following cap of geysers:-

(a) 25 Ltr cap

(b) 50 Ltr cap

S&F in repair round cable PVC insulated, PVC sheathed, with 3 core copper conductor of size 2.5 Sqmm, ISI marked & connecting complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix on wall/ ceiling/roof or laying in trenches 20 mm bore galvanised steel water tubing, medium grade including necessary fittings such as GI bends, tee, union etc complete and connecting to water supply pipe line including taking down old tubing, complete all as specified and directed. Note : Earthwork where required shall be measured and paid separately.

Supply and fix in repair 15 mm size Angular cock, cast copper alloy chromium plated, screwed down high pressure with capstan head, screwed both ends for iron pipe or unions, complete all as specified and directed. Make : Jaquar Cat No.CON-053K or equivalent Plumber, Hindware

Periodical maintenance / servicing of solar water heater, flat plate collector type/ glass tube collector type, storage type with electrical backup of capacity 100 - 300 litres, as per manufacturer instruction comprising of the following works at different locations at GE (AF) Jamnagar. (a) Complete cleaning of solar system, removing of dirt dust etc. (b) Cleaning of heating surface glass with glass cleaning solution. (c) Opening of cold & hot water connection draining out deposited water removing of mud turbidity etc & cleaning with fresh water. (d) Checking of Non return valve, Electrical backup system & sacrificial anode & tighten the connection. (e) Checking of glass holding tube joint & rectification of leakage. (f) Replacement of unserviceable spare part.Note: (i) Preventive maintenance shall be carried as per direction of Engr-in-charge. (ii) Unserviceable spares parts will be measured & paid separately as supply only. (iii) Work shall be executed through Authorised service technician of Tata Solar BP / Delta / Red ren(iv) Contractor shall submit the documentary evidence of Authorised service technician for the approval of GE before commencement of work.

M&L for fabrication of staging for fixing of tank on roof for solar water heater up to 2.5 metre height from roof top, fabricated with mild steel angle, flat, tee etc (using steel section of grade Fe-290 Grade 165) confirming to including nuts, bolts, washers, welding, drilling holes for bolts, painting over all two coat synthetic enamel paint over one coat of primer, and taking down / dismantling of old staging complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair 25 mm size Ball valves high pressure of PTMT with epoxy coated Aluminium rod & high density plastic ball screwed for iron pipe and fixed to water tank. (Minimum weight 455 grams) complete all as specified and directed.

Earthing complete with galvanised GI earth plate eletrode 600x600x6mm thick,burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25mtrdeep below GL) with top edge of the plate n.less than 1.5mtr below normal.GL surrounded with adequate quantity of charcoal dust mixed with salt to a packed thickness of 15cm all round the plate using 4mm dia GI wire as earth wire electrode welded and revetted to earth plate at one end connected to main DBs of Bldg at another end GI earth wire encased in and including 15mm dia GI light grade pipe through upper end of earth plate upto main DB of bldg with 20mm bore GI pipe light grade as water pipe from earth chamber to upper edge of earth plate MS funnel with wire mesh fixed on water pipe and Provn of PCC pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 chamber and RCC pit cover 50mm thick precast RCC 1:2:4 type BI duly reinforeced with MS bars 8mm dia @ 150C/c with both ways complete with lifting handle all as shown in electrical plate no 5 of SSR of part-I (1991) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Sub main wiring using PVC insulated and unsheathed multistranded FRLS copper conductor cable using approved colour code as per IS drawing in and incl PVC casing and capping with all accessories and making good disturbed surfaces of wall, floor or ceiling with plaster and finishing the surfaces with distemper/white washing/colour washing to match with the existing surface complete all as specified and directed of the following sizes of cables:-

Using two single core PVC insulated FRLS cable 4 sqmm copper conductor multi stranded and 4.0 sqmm copper conductor insulated cable using as earth wire Note :2 runs of 4sqmm copper cable & 1 run of 4.0sqmm copper cable in and including PVC casing and capping shall be measured as one unit

Using two single core PVC insulated FRLS cable 6 sqmm copper conductor multi stranded and 6.0 sqmm copper conductor insulated cable using as earth wire Note :2runs of 6sqmm copper cable & 1 run of 6.0 sqmm copper cable in and including PVC casing and capping shall be measured as one unit

Using two single core PVC insulated FRLS cable 2.5 sqmm copper conductor multi stranded and 1.5 sqmm copper conductor insulated cable using as earth wire Note :2 runs of 2.5sqmm copper cable & 1 run of 2.5 sqmm copper cable in and including PVC casing and capping shall be measured as one unit

Supply and fix 500 ltr Rotational moulded polyethylene water storage tanks (cylindrical vertical with closed top) hoisted and fixed in position etc complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix 250 ltr Rotational moulded polyethylene water storage tanks (cylindrical vertical with closed top) hoisted and fixed in position etc complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair 15 mm size Ball valves high pressure of PTMT with epoxy coated Aluminium rod & high density plastic ball screwed for iron pipe and fixed to HDPE water tank complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair 20 mm size Ball valves high pressure of PTMT with epoxy coated Aluminium rod & high density plastic ball screwed for iron pipe and fixed to HDPE water tank complete all as specified and directed.

Supplying and laying in replace of CPVC pipes SDR 11 & plain CPVC SDR 11 of 20 mm dia fittings with all fittings and fixed to walls or through walls / ceiling or laid in floors including cutting, chasing, including clamps and all fittings and fixtures complete all as specified and directed. Repair / Maintenance / updating including operation and regular maintenance of the Automatic water suppply system excluding spares. Carrying out complete maintenance/ servicing/ Repairs with establishing Ladder Logic Programming as required of all the sub system viz. PLC based control panels (with all the Morris), breakdown maintenanace all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge on following location:- Establishing Ladder Logic programming Automation Control Panel at location: Main Pump House, Pump House No.2, NEU Pump House, Bedi Well Pump House No.1 & 2, Bedi OHT, OHT No.3, OHT No.4, OHT No.5, OHT No. 7&8 and MIMIC Panel at Main Pump House.

Note : (i) Unit rate quoted by tenderer is of checking of system fortnightly and necessary servicing, repair and daily printing log sheets data on hourly basis and to be submitted to EIC the register will be maintained to that effect. (ii) In addition to above specific emergency complaints from time to time shall be attended after receiving the same.(ii)The work has to be carried by OEM M/S Recktronic Devices & Systems or through their authorized agent / MOU documents of authorization shall be provided before execution of work by quoted by tenderer. (iv) The job is excuted as per direction of EIC.
