Attending day to day faults, repairing and maintenance of outdoor type transformer substations and Rewinding of 25 KVA, 11KV/0.433KV oil cooled Transformers with associated works at various Telephone Exchanges and Mobile BTS sites under Dhenkanal BA

Attending to break down calls, physical inspection of Substation accessories, overhead lines, feeder panels, meter box etc. to find out the faults and taking corrective measures for restoration of power supply i/c rectification of minor faults such as replacement of pin/post insulators, jumper wires, LT side cable , LT side switch gears etc. if required any. (Materials are not in the scope of this item) ( BA Head quarter shall be considered as base station while determining the distance)

For sites distance up to and including 50 KMs

For sites distance above 50 KM and up to and including 100 KMs

Liaison with different units of the supply authority i.e. Division/Sub Division/Section offices/MRT office/E & MR office and field staff etc. for obtaining shut down of 11KV line/LT Line, breaking of meter seal if required to carry out the repairing and maintenance works of the Sub Station and re-energisation, testing etc. as required.

To carry out minor repairing works such as pin/post insulators, jumper wires, LT side cable , LT side switch gears etc.

To carry out major repairing works such as rewinding/ replacement/ repairing & overhauling of Transformer, AB switch, DO fuse unit, replacement of HT cable and its end terminations or any other major repairing works of the DP structure & associated overhead lines.

Cleaning of the substation yard i/c cutting of small trees, creepers and climber plants by arranging required manpower and tools and plant etc complete as required.

Thorough servicing of AB Switch, adjustment of bearings, male/female contacts, lubricating of moving items i/c replacement of minor defective parts like nuts, bolts, clamps, wire braided copper strips and checking the functional operation, etc. as required.

Dismantling of all existing old/damaged MS chanels, MS angle , MS Flat all structural items other than PSC pole by removing all MS bolts & fixing hard wares , using cutting machine/gas cutter for non wherever required , Keeping aside the recovered items for further disposal as required.

Supplying and fixing of following sizes Hot dipped Galvanised iron channel / angle /flat /V-cross arms with nuts , bolts and washers, etc. on DP structure / PSC pole Including cutting, welding, drilling holes, fabricating etc. as required. (Note:- The rate has been derived after deducting the scrap value of old MS channel/angles etc )

Replacement of the following defective spare parts of the transformer substation by new one i/c fitting, connection etc. as reqd.

Male contact and Female contacts made of hard drawn copper for 200 Amps air break switch with wire braided strip etc. comprising of 3nos per set.

Rotor mechanism for 200 Amps air break switch.

Square/round bar for AB switch (Horizontal unit)

11KV Post Insulator for 200Amps AB switch/ HG fuse unit

Operating Handle made of 25/32mm Medium class GI pipe with wire braided copper strip

Heavy duty operating pipe for air break switch i/c fabrication etc. as required.

Replacement of damaged breather for 25 KVA 11KV/0.433KV transformer by a new one with dry silica gel etc. as required.

Replacement of faulty/damaged pin insulators by new one of 11 KV grade pin type insulator with large steel head G.I. pin, nuts, washers on existing HT pole/ DP structure etc. complete as required.

Replacement of faulty / damaged disc insulators by new one of 11 KV, 45 KN porcelain disc insulator with galvanized insulator fittings, ball and socket type and complete with galvanized strain clamps, bolts, nuts, washers etc. as required.

Replacement of faulty Lightening arrestors by new ones of nonlinear resistor type lightning arrestor suitable for 3 wire, 11 KV overhead lines with rated voltage 9 KV (rms) with a nominal discharge current rating of 5 KA and complete with galvanized clamping arrangement, G.I. bolts, nuts, washers etc. as required, comprising of 3nos per set.

Replacement of damaged and unserviceable AB switch by new one of 11 KV, off load, single break, triple pole, horizontal type, gang operated air break switch having 2 nos. 11 KV post type insulator per phase complete with galvanized channel iron base, arcing horns, 25 mm dia. 6mtr. long GI pipe, tinned copper wire braided flexible earthing wire & operating handle with locking arrangement etc. complete as required including dismantling of faulty and damaged AB switch from the DP structure i/c cutting the base channels/bolts etc. complete as required. (The dismantled faulty & damaged AB switch may be retained by the agency)

Replacement of damaged and unserviceable DO/HG fuse units by new one of 3 phase, 11 KV outdoor type Horn Gap Fuse unit having 2 nos. 11 KV post type insulator per phase complete with channel, cu-wire etc. as required. (one set comprising 3 units) i/c dismantling of faulty and damaged DO Fuse / HG fuse unit set from the DP structure i/c cutting the base channels/bolts etc. complete as required. (The dismantled faulty & damaged DO/HG fuse units may be retained by the agency)

Supply & drawing of 55 sqmm. AAA conductor for overhead line and DP structures i/c binding with insulators etc. complete as required.

Replacement of faulty/burnt out HT cable by supply of new 3 core, 35sqmm HT XLPE insulated Cable of 6.6 KV (UE)/11KV (E), Stranded compact circular aluminium conductor, conductor screen with extruded semiconducting compound, XLPE insulated, insulation screening with extruded semi conducting compound in combination with copper tape (0.3 KA for 1 sec), cores laid up, inner sheath of PVC tape, galvanized flat steel strip armoured and overall PVC sheathed confirming to IS 7098/PART-II-1985 with latest amendments.

Laying of one number PVC insulated and PVC sheathed / XLPE power cable of 11KV grade of size up 120sqmm in the following manner:

Direct in ground including excavation, sand cushioning, protective covering and refilling the trench etc as required.

In the existing RCC/ HUME/ METAL pipe as required.

In the existing masonry open duct as required.

On air i/c supply & binding with 1no 55sqmm AAA Conductor.

Replacement of faulty 11KV outdoor type cable end terminations by new one of heat shrinkable type complete with all accessories including lugs suitable for 3 core, 35 sqmm, XLPE aluminium conductor cable of 11 KV grade as required.

Replacement of faulty/burnt out straight through cable joints by new one of outdoor type heat shrinkable type complete with all accessories including lugs suitable for 3 core, 35 sqmm, XLPE aluminium conductor cable of 11 KV grade as required.

Rewiring of the DP structure of Transformer Sub Station with 55sqmm AAA /50sqmm insulated Al.conductor stranded cable with al. Lugs/sockets, binding with post insulators etc. complete as required.

Replacement of the defective parts / components by new ones of following sizes & ratings aluminium/copper sockets/lugs for PVC sheathed / XLPE aluminium/copper conductor cable of 1.1 KV grade i/c fixing/crimping etc. as required.

16/25 sqmm Al socket.

35 sqmm Al socket.

55 sqmm Al socket.

Dismantling the following ratings faulty transformer from the existing D.P. structure/Plinth & installation of standby/repaired transformer i/c testing and commissioning, recording the required parameters etc. by qualified staff, arranging required tools & plant with proper precautionary measures etc. as required.

Repairing of 25/63 KVA Aluminium/copper wounded transformer at factory/workshop by dismantling the faulty transformer, re-insulating the windings, heating, reassembling i/c replacement of gaskets, nuts & bolts, washers, carry out factory tests etc. complete as required. (Rewinding of Transformer is not in the scope of this item)

Repairing of 25 /63 KVA Aluminium/ copper wounded transformer at site i/c opening top cover, checking the bush, inter connections wires/strips from bushings to transformer windings, tightening the connections, etc. as required. (Rewinding of Transformer is not in the scope of this item)

Rewinding of the HT windings of the following ratings Oil immersed Distribution class Transformer with superior grade and suitable size Double paper covered Transformer winding conductor , providing re-insulation of LT winding etc. including dismantling the transformer parts i.e. conservator tank, terminal boxes, bushings, removing the core and windings from the tank, draining of transformer oil, cleaning of tank, reassembling the core & windings and all the aforesaid parts after rewinding/repairing, replacement of gaskets, worn out nuts, bolts and washers/cork washers etc, heating in heat chamber, carry out factory tests and submission of test reports etc. complete as required. (The dismantled aluminium winding and other materials can be retained by the agency and credit for the same to be given in the quoted rate of this item)

Supplying and pouring of transformer oil (IS:325) of suitable make & grade for topping up/replacement of old deteriorated oil etc. complete as required.

Filtration and de-hydration of existing Transformer oil at factory / work shop ( In case of rewinding/repairing of Transformer at factory / workshop), testing of BDV and submission of oil testing report etc. as required.

Replacement of the following defective spare parts of the transformer by new one i/c fitting, connection etc. as reqd.

Painting of the transformer body with primer & two coats of weather proof synthetic enamel paints after scrapping the rust etc complete as reqd.

Providing 25 KVA/63 KVA 11KV/0.433 KV Distribution class star rated Transformer on hiring basis as a stop gap arrangement etc. as required. (BSNL will not be held responsible for occurrence of any faults in the hired Transformer while working at site or any damage or loss occurred to the said Transformer during transportation, loading, unloading and negligence of the agency etc.). (Commencement date shall be the date of energisation and commissioning at site)

Making arrangements for inspection and testing of the re-winded transformer by the designated inspector of supply company at factory / workshop and obtaining test certificates and clearance for re-installation and energisation of the said transformer etc. complete as required.

Transportation of spare /new / repaired / standby 25/63 KVA transformer from BSNL office /factory /workshop to respective sites and faulty Transformer from sites to back by using suitable transportation medium including loading and unloading at both ends etc. complete as required. (The rate should be inclusive of toll gate fee/charges wherever applicable, nothing extra will be paid. Distance will be on shortest route only).
