REPAIRS AND UPKEEPING OF WATER SUPPLY/ FIRE FIGHTING INSTALLATIONS INCLUDING CHLORINATION PLANTS AT NAVAL BASE AREA UNDER GE (U-II), VISAKHAPATNAM

Material and labour for maintaining of potable /fresh water to achieve chlorination level by keeping concentrated efforts as per standard water quality specifications of maintaining PPM, PH, TDS levels, by checking time to time with standard testing equipments/lab test items if any daily before pumping of water to users from sump/OHTs to building OH tanks through raising mains etc. by adding chlorination granuals, chlorine gas etc. as required for disinfection of water as per standard at site as under :-

(a) ppm at sump level to pumping water to building OH tank - 2ppm, (b) pH value - 6.5 to 8.5, TDS- 300ppm (c) Ensuring water is to be free from E.coli and thermotolerant coliform bacteria and it shall not be detectable in any 100ml of sample water.

Notes :- The item rate is inclusive of following :-

(a) The contrator or his rep is responsible for maintaining quality of drinking water as specified above and to adopt latest standard of water treatment for providing specified potable water. (b) Contractor or his rep has to attend daily at all pump houses once in a day to check all the water parameters and sign in the register being maintained with pump house staff. (c) Register should be maintained daily and daily record of the same should be endorsed from users/MES rep at pump house, concerned Engineer-in-Charge as well as concerned medical team of respective unit daily. (d) Lab test shall be carried out once in a month from locally available Govt approved lab for (i) PPM, (ii) TDS, (iii) pH value and E-Coil or thermotolerent Coliform bacteria. test report be rendered and a record of the same to be submitted to department once in a month or whenever required or directed by the users and department depend upon the situation/quality of water.

(e) The rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of adding required chemicals like soda ash etc., to maintain pH value and TDS as and when required.

(f) Required quantity of chlorine gas/ chlorine granuals/ bleaching powder required to be used at pump houses regularly. The amount/quantity of mixing chemicals, gas etc.,would be vary as per the quality of receiving water from time to time to bring the required ppm once checked before pumping the water from sump to OHT of user building. The necessary mixing up of granuals/bleaching powder for maintaining standard water and for superchlorination the existing staff/ manpower at pump houses shall be utilized if necessary. Note: Supply only chlorine gas, bleaching powder, Alum shall be measured and paid seperately under relevant items of schedule

The above specified job shall be carried out at each pump house as under :-

(a) Nausenabaugh Main pump house (02 Places), (b) MES Key pers PH, NSB, (c) INS Circars (d) Naval Park & Amzari Park, (e) INS Sathavahana,(f) MWC,(g) SMHQ, (h) INS Virbahu, (j) MMT (E) - 14 Nos.

M & L for seven stage cleaning and sterilization of inside the RCC/Steel, underground / semi-underground,/ over head / Sedimentation / clear water sumps of capacity UG sump reservior 2.0 lakh gallons through bacteriological treatment by using TERBAC G5 / Inchor-5 / NB-10 / , TERBAC-G-65 / Inoxi-60 / NB-69 and ULTRA VOILET RAY complete all as specified and as directed. Make : Rays cleantech / Inus watertech / Satya enterprises equivalent steps for seven stages are as under :- First Stage is to drain out the water by using exit valve or high capacity dewatering system. Second Stage is cleaning all the algae formation inside the tank by using TERBAC-G10 a laboratory tested branded chemical of the company and scrubbing the walls of the tanks. Third Stage is fresh water cleaning by high speed jet pump. Fourth Stage and first bacteria screening is decertification by using TERBAC-G5 a Govt laboratary certified branded halogen compound.

Fifth Stage is cleaning the floor of water tank by industrial vaccum cleaner. Sixth Stage is the second bacteria screening and sterilizing method by using ultra voilet ray within the tank and kills all suspended bacteria. Seventh stage of cleaning and third bacteria screening is to sterlize the floor of the water tank by using laboratory certified, branded strong oxidizing agent TERBAC-G65 / Inoxi-60 / NB-69. Note : Work will be carried through specialized agency from one of the above given makes. (a) Company will submit Govt laboratory test certificate of TERBAC-G5, TERBAC-G65, fix the sticker mentioning the date of cleaning & name of site and also provide, certificate confirming the completion of sterlization of watr tanks mentioning the name of station and date of cleaning. All the cleaning & sterlization staffs should be under accidental insurance coverage.

Supply and replacement male coupling of 63 mm size with provision of 20mm hose reel (19/20mm size) connection suitable to fix fire hydrant landing valve gun metal type "B" ( Double headed) complete all as specified and directed

Repair/ servicing of any type water level indicator by replacing wornout central movement plate, counter weight, centre diving wheels etc., ncesaary required parts at site for fully operational, replacement of front glass with PVC/rubber gasket and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply & replacement of water level indicator, 36" dia as per IS and including numbering with radium stickering, heavy duty float, counter weight, heavy duty driving gear nylon wire fitted in all in GI housing, cutting the RCC slab and making good the slab, painting the exposed surface with two coats of synthetic enamel over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: Make of water level indicator shall be got approved by GE before procurement.

Supply and replace Pressure gauge dial of 6" dia, 0-20 kgs/cm2 ratings suitable to the existing water pipe lines including suitable fixing lines with necessary fixing arrangement complete all as specified.

M& L for servicing of LT panels of any size by cleaning the panel, bus bar chamber with CTC solution, and welding the door using arc welding and fixing hinges, necessary nut and bolts, washers and made it completely functional for open/ close including painting of panel by spraying with two coats of epoxy based paint over a coat of red oxide primer, after cleaning of rusty panel surface both inside/ outside by emery paper and necessary preparation of smooth surface suitable for painting and including checking of incoming and outgoing connections, Re-fixing of existing ACBs & MCCBs, testing & commissioning, connected PCC & frame works, rewiring of control and power wiring with suitable size of FRLS copper cable but not less than 1.5 Sqmm, replacing of various unserviceable ON/ OFF switches, lugs etc making the panel fully functional Complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and replace industril corrsion proof LED street light fitting of 50 Watt capacity with IP66 protection inlcuding electronic driver and accessories suitable for pole dia upto 40 mm including GI bracket made of 40 mm gia Gi pipe light grade of length not less than 1.2 metre bend to shape as reuired including connecting up with twin core ywisted flexible copper conductor cable with suitable size, necessary MS clamps, bolts, nuts, duly painted with 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Make: CAT No. SLE UL 50W IP 66 LXN of Surya Roshini or its equivalent in Philips/ Havells India Ltd/ Wipro/ GE/ Bajaj.

Dismantling the old unservicable sign board and M&L for Fully retro reflective sign board (both side written) made out of 18 gauge CRCA sheet (1200mm x 900mm) with 40mm dia stainless steel square/round tube 1.6 mm thick having entire surface of both sides fully bounded with retro reflective sheeting of HTP grade Tape having pressure sensitive adhesive boards and messages as indicated cut out back ground in blue /green and matter in white color tape having two stainless steel posts 3.0 metre long of 65 mm dia circular tube 1.6 mm thick embedded in PCC (1:2:4) type B1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) bed block of size 300mmx300mmx600mm depth including necessary earth work, excavation complete all as specified and as directed

Supply only Chlorine 56 %-70 % (Calcium based granular disinfectant for water treatment more stable for water treatment than chlorine gas and stronger than bleaching powder and sodium hypochlorite) in 45 Kg drums for maintaning residual chlorine between 1 to 2 PPM at supply and 0.5 ppm at User end, complete all as specified and as directed . Make: As approved by E-in-C's branch or as approved by GE.
