Excavation in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth or n exc 10 Sqm on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth & getting out, for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes or for laying underground cable, pipe lines etc. in soft/ loose soil, complete all as specified & directed.

Excavation in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth or n exc 10 Sqm on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth & getting out, for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes or for laying underground cable, pipe lines etc. in hard/dense soil, complete all as specified & directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cms thick in soft / loose or hard dence soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated surplus material to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up or down the existing rusted/corroded GI pipe of size 15 mm bore dia after cutting/unscrewing the sockets, elbow and tees & including joints from trenches etc. and removing from site complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Excavation and earth work shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of BOQ.

Supply, laying, jointing and testing 15mm bore dia GI steel water tubing, galvanized, medium grade, with all fittings such as bends, tees, union etc., laid in trenches complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, laying, jointing and testing 20mm bore dia GI steel water tubing, galvanized, medium grade, with all fittings such as bends, tees, union etc., laid in trenches complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of Gun metal bib tap suitable for 15mm bore dia of pipe, with iron wheel head, screwed both ends for iron pipe and fixed complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Chemical earthing with copper earth plate electrode 90 cm X 60 cm X 5 mm thick buried directly (vertically) in ground (earth pit not less than 3.0m deep below ground level), with top edge of earth plate not less than 2.25 m below ground level, connected to and including copper strip of size 32mm x 6 mm as earthing strip by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers etc., made of copper and connected to test point and earth dolly including all joints as shown in drawing and including provision of supplying and laying charcoal dust 400 Kg, common salt 400 Kg, and Magnesium Sulphate 80 Kg and all around the plate upto 15cm depth, length & width upto 650mm in continous layers, balance portion of the pit will be filled with vegetable soil upto ground level and including excavation and earth work in any type of soil, RCC 50mm thick (1:2:4) type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate reinforced with 6mm dia round bars @ 75mm C/C both ways with MS handle 12mm dia, Set in CM 1:4 and PCC 1:3:6 type C1 in chamber, Precast concrete (1:2:4) type B1, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM (Weight not less than 4.00 Kg/Sqm) with cast iron frame, PGI funnel with wire mesh, 40mm dia GI pipe medium grade for watering, lugs, 20 mm bore medium grade GI protection pipe upto 7.5 m all as shown in electrical plate No 3 on Srl Page No 497 of SSR Part I (2009) drawing and connection to earth test point including testing, writing of details on the surface of the pit with paint and including dismantling and taking out old earthing complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Outer edge of earth pit shall be 1 metre away from the outer edge of PCC chamber. (ii) The cost of 7.5m earth lead /copper strip and GI pipe for protection of earth lead & watering/strip upto 7.5m is included in the quoted rate. (iii) The cost of excavation, earth work, RCC & PCC etc are included in the quoted rate. (iv) The approved soft soil filled in the pit shall be measured & paid for separately under item No 13.00 here-in-after. (v) On testing after completion, if the earth resistance less than 1 Ohms is not obtained earthing will be rejuvenated at no extra cost till the desired earth resistance is obtained.

M & L for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60 cm X 60 cm X 6 mm thick buried directly (vertically) in ground (earth pit not less than 3.0m deep below ground level), with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 m below ground level, connected to and including galvanized strip 25 x 4mm as earth lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel besides welding at all joints as shown in drawing and including excavation and earth work, GI pipe light grade 40mm bore for protection of strip and connected to continous earth lead on pole/test point, supplying and laying charcoal dust common salt PCC 1:2:4 type B1, chamber and MS angle iron frame 40x40x3mm and RCC cover 40mm thick (1:2:4) type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate reinforced with 6mm dia round bars @ 75mm C/C both ways with MS handle 12mm dia, PGI funnel and wire mesh, 20mm dia GI pipe medium grade for watering all as shown in electrical plate No 3 on srl page No 497 of SSR Part I (2009) drawing and connection to earth test point including testing, writing of details on the surface of the pit with paint and including dismantling of old unserviceable earthing complete all as specified and directed. Notes for item Nos. 11 & 12 :- (i) Outer edge of earth pit shall be 1 metre away from the outer edge of PCC chamber. (ii) The cost of earth lead /strip and GI pipe for protection of earth lead, watering/strip upto 7.5m is included in the quoted rate. (iii) The cost of excavation, earth work, RCC & PCC etc are included in the quoted rate. (iv) The approved soft soil filled in the pit shall be measured & paid for separately under item No 13.00 here-in-after. All ditto as per Srl item No. 11.00 (here-in-before) but using copper plate 60cm X 60cm X 3.15mm thick electrode and copper strip of size 20mm X 3mm as earthing lead complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and filling soft soil from outside MD land to earth pit for better result and the execavated soil will be thrown out the permises by own arrangement complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Contractor shall provided tools, tractor with trooley having cover arrangements etc to carry soft soil from outside MD land and excavated hard soil/rocks will be thrown outside MD land by same transport. The rate quoted by contractor shall be deemed to be included handling / transportation of soil.

M & L for renewal of any type/size test point terminal block made of Gun metal or Phosphorus bronze size 75mm x 75mm x 25mm drilled and screwed & including 3 Nos., 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screw/ nuts/bolts & washers as required complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc as required galvanised iron strip of size 25mm X 4mm complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for magnesium sulphate for improve earthing resistance complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of Aluminium strip of size 25mm X 3.15mm with saddles and fixing screws etc. for roof conductors and down conductors above ground complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of Copper strip of size 20mm x 3.15mm with saddels and fixing screws for roof conductors and down conductors above ground and earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or fixed to wall on insulators or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc as required complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of GI tubing light grade 40 mm dia for encasing strip for mechanical proctection, laid under Plinth / Floors/ Paths culverts or fixed on wall or concealed in wall/floor or as mounting bracket bend to shape with complete accessories such as bends/sockets/reducers /saddles & incl necessary threading/drilling works (ISI marked) complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for brazing/soldering the copper strip of existing size with necessary tools such as gas cylinder, solerding/brazing materials, copper nut, bolts & washers etc complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The rate quoted by contractor shall be deemed to be included all tool/equipments, gas with cylinder required for the work. (ii) Empty /filled cylinder shall be responsability of contractor and he shall be liable for all risk against same deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

S & F in renewal of GI strip junction of length 1000 mm (FI of size 32 mm X 6 mm) for equipment earthing fixed/mounted on wall with the help of insulators and connect to GI wire/GI strip / Copper Strip with proper lux complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of Air termination, single pointed aluminium rod 12 mm dia and 300 mm long complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of Air termination, single pointed copper rod 12 mm dia and 300 mm long complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 (using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in foundations, filling and mass concrete for repairs to earthing pits and like and including demolition of PCC complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of HDPE pit cover of size not less than 300mm x 300mm standard pattern of Make as approved complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of insulators suitable for earthing strip, size as per existing & Make as approved to fixing on floor/walls/roof etc by grouting by nuts, bolts, washers, screws etc complete all as specified and directed.

Testing the earth vaule of earthing pits by using of earth testing equipment and recorded the earth value and maintain the register and put up to AGE E/M and same earth value shall be write on existing sheet metal post by white synthetic enamel paint alongwith paint on sheet board complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in renewal of earth value /Type indicator metal sheet post made of MS pole and sheet, post height 1.0 Mtr, sheet size (200 mm X 100 mm X 3 mm) pole fixed with and including PCC 1:2:4 complete all as specified and directed.
