Repair Maintenance to the 33 KV MRS Yards and other allied works at NAD, Eksila and Dolphin Hill Areas under GE Utility I, Visakhapatnam

M & L for dismantling the LT / HT Connections, Earthing, Control Cables carefully from the Transformer installed on Foundation of 33 KV MRS Yard at Dolphin Hill and Loading the 3.15 MVA capacity Transformer weighing minimum 10200 KG by using suitable Crane on to the Transporting Trolley Vehicle, Transporting the serviceable Transformer on Trolley Vehicle to Workshop from 33 KV MRS Yard at Dolphin Hill, Loading the 3.15 MVA Transformer by using suitable Crane on to the Transporting Trolley Vehicle after completion of Repairs at Workshop, Transporting the unserviceable Transformer on Trolley Vehicle to 33 KV MRS Yard at Dolphin Hill from Workshop and unloading and placing it on the Transformer Foundation carefully complete all as specified and as directed. Notes: [a] Cranes used for Loading, Unloading of Transformer on to the Transporting Trolley Vehicle and Transformer Foundation shall not be less than 20 Tons. [b] Any damage to insulators / bushes / windings etc. while in the custody of the contractor shall be made good at no extra cost to the Government. The serviceability of the transformer shall be checked and confirmed by the contractor before taking into his custody. [c] M & L for rewinding / re-insulation of HT / LT [Primary / Secondary] Coils, Bushes, Studs, Transformer Oil, Filtration of Oil, Cable Box, replacement of Buchholz Relay / MOG, repair / servicing of OLTC etc. will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this BoQ.

M & L for carrying out following repairs in 3.15 MVA capacity Transformer at Dolphin Hill complete all as specified and as directed. [a] Draining out transformer in the suitable capacity of container / drums and keeping it in safe custody for reuse. [b] Opening top cover of the transformer by unscrewing nuts / bolts / washers etc. including disconnecting core assembly from HT / LT bushing and lifting the same gently with the help of crane and taking out from the shell [Container / Body] of the transformer. [c] Visual inspection of entire Core Assembly, Transformer Tank, Core Limbs, OLTC etc., locating the fault / damages. [d] Cleaning the transformer body from inside, removing deposited dirt / sludge / foreign particles etc. from the bottom / body of the transformer, cleaning with CTC and drying up the shell from inside before refilling with the Transformer Oil. [e] Cleaning and washing thoroughly core and serviceable windings of the transformer by hosing down with clean dry oil conforming to IS – 336, removing deposited dirt / sludge / foreign particles from the windings / core through inspection of windings, providing insulations to leads and terminals complete and re-assembling the core including newly winded coils etc.

[f] Heating / drying / baking complete carefully and thoroughly inside the heating chamber at suitable temperature to obtain required value of insulation resistance etc all as per IS. [g] Lifting and refixing core assembly inside the transformer shell gently and carefully connecting Primary / Secondary / Neutral Terminal Connections to the bushings assembly, fixing of Tap changer including tightening of nuts, bolts, washers of the core to reduce humming noise. [h] Refilling the filtered transformer oil in the shell of transformer complete. [i] Refixing the top cover including replacement of Cork Sheet / Gasket 8 mm thick tightening of nuts / bolts / washers etc. and replacement of Breather with Silica Gel. [j] Connecting Primary / Secondary / Neutral connections etc. [k] The inspection of transformer shall involve Checking of all clamps, nuts, bolts including core bolts & cover fixing bolts, Checking all brazing, joints, Tap heads and connection joints, Checking all jumpers, terminations / connections inside the transformer and Checking the Bulcholtz Relay / Conservator MOG if any.

M & L for Painting of Transformer of 2.5 MVA / 3.15 MVA Capacity complete with Two Coats of Synthetic enamel paint externally and painting with a coat of Oil Resistant Paint inside the Transformer Shell complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Painting of Transformer of 5 MVA Capacity complete with Two Coats of Synthetic enamel paint externally and painting with a coat of Oil Resistant Paint inside the Transformer Shell complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for overhauling OLTC of 33 KV / 11 KV Transformer of capacity 2500 KVA / 3150 KVA by draining out of Transformer Oil, dismantling of top cover, inspection of moving and fixed contacts of all Three Phases and checking the operation, cleaning and removal of contacts of all the Three Phases and checking the operation, cleaning and removal of all carbon particles, Checking the thickness of leads in the OLTC Board, Moving / Fixed Contacts, inspection of Transition Resistance and replacement of Gasket / Contacts etc., if found damaged, reassembling complete, Filling up of Oil, testing complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Spares will be measured and paid separately

M & L for overhauling OLTC of 33 KV / 11 KV Transformer of capacity 5000 KVA by draining out of Transformer Oil, dismantling of top cover, inspection of moving and fixed contacts of all Three Phases and checking the operation, cleaning and removal of contacts of all the Three Phases and checking the operation, cleaning and removal of all carbon particles, Checking the thickness of leads in the OLTC Board, Moving / Fixed Contacts, inspection of Transition Resistance and replacement of Gasket / Contacts etc., if found damaged, reassembling complete, Filling up of Oil, testing complete all as specified and as directed. M & L for rewinding of HT Tap Winding for 33KV / 11KV [5 MVA/3.15 MVA/2.5 MVA] Power Transformer at Dolphin Hill /NAD / Eksila HV Coil [Primary Side] of any Capacity / Type by winding defective coils with new copper wire with Kraft Paper insulation as per IS of same gauge and size together with new insulated materials/bracings before placing in to the transformer and assembling the coil with new insulation materials, varnishing and fitting the coils in the chamber, testing and commissioning the transformer and recording the test results complete all as specified and as directed. Note: M & L for re-insulation of serviceable coils will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this BoQ.

M & L for rewinding of HT Tap Winding for 33KV/11KV [5 MVA/3.15 MVA/2.5 MVA] Power Transformer at Dolphin Hill / NAD / Eksila LV Coil [Secondary Side] of any Capacity/Type by winding defective coils with new copper wire with Kraft Paper insulation as per IS of same gauge and size together with new insulated materials/bracings before placing in to the transformer and assembling the coil with new insulation materials, varnishing and fitting the coils in the chamber, testing and commissioning the transformer and recording the test results complete all as specified and as directed. Note: M & L for re-insulation of serviceable coils will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this BoQ]

M & L for Filtration of Transformer Oil of transformers installed at various locations to achieve di-electric strength not less than 60 KV at 2.5mm gap as per relevant IS with Portable Filtration Plant, testing of the oil for the di-electric strength before filtration and after filtration complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and topping up of Transformer Oil with di-electric strength not less than 60 KV in to the Conservator Tank / Body Tank of the Transformer etc. complete all as specified and as directed. Make: Power Oil / Transol / Sabitha Chemicals

[b] Lifting, transporting & handling the transformer to the work shop and opening top cover of the transformer by unscrewing nuts / bolts / washers etc. including disconnecting core assembly from HT / LT bushing and lifting the same gently with the help of crane and taking out from the shell [Container / Body] of the transformer. [c] Visual inspection of entire Core Assembly, Transformer Tank, Core Limbs, OLTC etc., locating the fault / damages. [d] Cleaning the transformer body from inside, removing deposited dirt / sludge / foreign particles etc. from the bottom / body of the transformer, cleaning with CTC and drying up the shell from inside before refilling with the Transformer Oil. [l] The rate quoted shall be deemed to be include for necessary T & P, nuts, bolts, washers, gasket, insulation tape, compound, painting of VCB Panels with approved colour including lettering details all as per existing etc. to put in to the VCBs and Panels in serviceable condition, testing and commissioning all as specified and as directed.
