CIVIL WORKS
Providing and laying of Hot Mix Dense Bituminous Macadam(DBM) using crushed stone aggregate of quality, size and grading as specified and cement filler of quality as specified and Viscosity Grade Bitumen (supplied in bulk) in proportions as per job mix formula and laid to specified levels, grade and camber as per specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including compacting with 8 10 tonne, preferably vibratory road roller of adequate capacity to achieve the specified values of compaction, strength, surface accuracy complete [for tendering purpose VG bitumen of grade VG-30 shall be taken as 110 kg/m3 of mix supplied in bulk produced by Govt. Refineries and 2% cement by weight of aggregates as filler material].

Providing and applying tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of Viscosity grade VG-30 confirming IS:73 including heating the bitumen, spraying the bitumen with mechanically operated spray unit fitted on bitumen boiler, cleaning and preparing the existing Runway/Road surface as per specifications complete in all respects as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. If the actual quantity of bitumen varies from the quantity assumed above, necessary cost adjustment for deviation in the quantity shall be done as per rate in actual supply voucher from nearest refinery at the time of execution. The rate of VG-30 bitumen exclusive of GST shall only be considered for payment. 0.35kg/sqm on existing bituminous surface.
Providing and laying in positon cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-III) : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size).
Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for : Walls (any thickness) including attached pilasters, butteresses, plinth and string courses etc.
White washing with lime to give an even shade : New work (three or more coats)
Painting of Taxiway,/Apron marking with retro reflective road marking paint of superior make of Apco track/ Fast track WBR 3427 of Asian paints or equivalent with Air / Airless spray applications including the application of high index glass beds (TTB 1325 type III and having refractive index 1.90)of potters make or equivalent. The painting shall be done for the existing Taxiway /Apron markings as per the recommended dimensions as per direction of Engineer -in-charge. The existing surface shall be cleaned thoroughly off dirt, dust, scales, oil grease etc. before application of the paint.(The painting to be applied should have a single coat coverage of @0.50 litre per sqm for paint and 500 grms per sqm for glass beads)
Painting runway / taxi track / apron marking with adequate no. of coats to give uniform finish with road marking paint of superior make as approved by the Engineer-in-charge i/c cleaning the surface of all dirt, scales, oil, grease and other foreign material etc. and lining out complete. New work (Two or more coats)
Providing and laying in position Polysulphide sealant of approved make conforming to BS-5212- 990 or IS: 11433-1995. In expansion/ construction / dummy joints including rounding off edges, applying 2 coats of approved primer compatible with the brand of Polysulphide and preparing the surface and applying masking tape along the edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface and to give neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant etc. complete as per direction of Engineer in- Charge & particular specifications. [Note: For purpose of payment, quantity (Length x Width x Depth) of Polysulphide sealant only will be measured.] unit cm3 Expansion Joints of size 25 mm wide and 10 mm deep over 30mm dia closed-cell Polyethylene foam back-up rod, as per manufacturers specifications and sketch at Appendix-‘A’.

Providing, laying and fixing of self adhesive glass fibre reinforcement grid of High Modulus Fibre Glass of mesh size not exceeding 12.5mm x 12.5mm. The self adhesive glass fibre reinforcement after laying over the Runway Pavement shall be pressed down fully with a rubber tired roller and glued to pavement surface. The grid being self adhesive does not require tack coat. The longitudinal overleap should not be less than 250mm and transverse overleap i.e. at the end of the roll should not be less than 150mm. The items should be completed in all respect, to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.
Removing of polysulphide sealent and armour rod at exisitng joints ( Expansion, Dummy and Constuction joints) etc all complete.

Isolating Transformer housing box,water tight round type,metal container of outside size 330mm height 450mm made of 10mm thick cast iron moulding suitable to receive a light fitting base plate on the top and underground housing associated with transformer power cable and having a clear hole centre at one side surface centre 75mm above bottom surface suitable to receive one No. / two of 50mm dia "B" class GI pipe and including check nuts as required and another hole at 175mm from the bottom of the CI Box to receive one no. 15mm dia "B" class GI pipe and check nut as required.The box should have two SS earth bolts of M10 x 30mm tapped inside near the hole (4" away from the hole centre) and having a drain hole at the bottom suitably tapped to receive 15mm dia "B" class GI pipe and having clear opening of 220 mm at the top surface and 6 nos. Installation of transformer housing box with a base concrete of 1:3:6 of size 630 x 630 x 100mm thick all round concrete of 1:2:4 150mm thick. The top sloped with 1:2:4 cement concrete including providing and fixing 10" long 1/2" dia "B" class GI pipe with checknuts for drainage of water including excavation of side shoulder and re-filling (wherever the transformer are in a line the same has to be aligned in such a way that the centers fall in a straight line) etc. complete as required.

Providing and laying of 6 SWG GI wire inside the excavated cable trench/humepipe for loop earthing etc complete as required
Providing and laying of 110mm outer dia, PE80, PN6 rating HDPE pipe IS:4984, IS:14333 by Horizontal Directional Drilling including jointing/welding of HDPE pipes across the runway/taxiway and Roads by trencheless directional drilling (HDD) method by deploying HDD machines, mud mixing system, Earth movers etc. complete as required.
SITC of Bidirectional internally illuminated LED based Mandatory/ Information /Location/VOR check point Runway / Taxiway guidance signage of various sizes made out of 4mm thick glare free polycarbonate sheet at front and body made out of 2.0mm thick powder coated aluminum profile having minimum width of 150mm and supported at back by 50mm dia, 3mm thickness, die cast aluminum pipe at a separation as required, and frangible coupling as required. Light source shall be high luminous, long life typical 50,000 Hrs. type, 0.5 Watts LED's assembled on aluminum PCB of size 700mm X 20mm and having 11 LED’s per PCB for boards having height 800mm & 500mm X 20mm PCB having 8 LED’s per PCB for board having height 600mm respectively. The thickness of the aluminium PCB should be 2mm in order to ensure proper heat dissipation. These aluminium PCB’s should be placed not more than 160mm apart across the length of the board in order to ensure uniform distribution of light across the board. Each board having length from 800mm up to 3000mm should be illuminated by a single converter & by using single isolating transformer of suitable wattage in order to save the capital cost of multiple isolating transformers. Signage shall be suitable for operation on series circuit at variable current from 2.8Amp - 6.6Amp and will give constant brightness for all current variation. All the signage shall have letters and symbols made by computerized cutting of vinyl and pasting on the polycarbonate sheet from inside/outside of the sign face of required color as per ICAO.
