Cold Cutting & Dismantling of tilted double deck roof including all associated acessories using high-pressure hydro-abrasive method or any other approved cold cutting technology Scope of Work Contractor shall carry out complete dismantling and removal of the tank (Dia: 79 m, Height: 14.5 m) double deck roof including pontoon boxes,legs,gaugewell, rim seal system and other connected appurtenances, into suitably sized sections and shifting the dismantled material to Owner-designated location as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge (EIC).
Contractor’s Scope Cold Cutting & Dismantling Carry out cold cutting of double deck roof including pontoon boxes,legs,gaugewell other connected appurtenances & shell if required using high-pressure hydro-abrasive method or any other approved cold cutting technology (proven methodology). Vendor to submit a work execution plan along with all safety precautions to EIC for approval and record. Strictly no hot work is permitted inside the tank. Ensure cutting in such a manner that no damage occurs to the shell, adjacent piping, structures, foundation or equipment.Contractor has to ensure rigid stable support for balance portion of roof till complete removal. Segregate dismantled components into manageable parts for safely shifting. Cranes & Lifting Operations Deploy suitable capacity cranes for lifting and shifting dismantled sections.Minimum two cranes of 500-700 MT capacity (or equivalent as per load chart) may be deployed for tandem lifts (if required). For dismantling of lighter sections, lower capacity cranes may be used for lifting subject to load chart approval. Deployment of cranes to be ensured throughout cutting, lifting, and shifting activity.Proper site survey and job assessment to be carried out before execution. Work shall be completed in all respect including all tools and tackels including skilled/semikilled/unskilled manpower. Deployement of Crane at Site Site survey, and maintain a stable path and location for crane movement inside the dyke area (existing soil may not be suitable).Contractor has to make necessary job for preparation of ramp with proper stable & compacted foundation for movement of heavy vehichles. Scope includes dyke cutting, excavation, supply, laying, spreading, and compaction of aggregates, stone screenings, binding material, etc. Provide plates for outrigger arms, counterweights, fly jibs (extendable boom) as per operational requirement of crane and etc. Ensure crane stability under all operating conditions, including provision of temporary working mats / plates. Mobilization & Demobilization Rate shall include mobilization and demobilization of cold cutting machinery, cranes, transport vehicles, and with all tools and tackles. Safety Measures Ensure strict adherence to IOCL safety procedures, including barricading, working at height safety, confined space entry protocols, and waste disposal. Cutting water and abrasive slurry shall be collected, contained, and disposed as per statutory norms and good housekeeping to be ensured. Owner’s Scope IOCL may provide old MS plates (5 mm / 6 mm thick) on a free-of-cost, returnable basis for enhancing crane working area stability, subject to availability.
Sludge removal:
Assessing & Removing the sludge, muck,debris etc. from inside tank through mechanical means like vaccum sucker, and stacking the same outside in the pits/containers/trucks made inside the dyke area for tank cleaning etc.manual processing to be utilizes (if required) and disposal of same in melting pits and/or sludge pits or in disposal ground anywhere within owner's premises and all lift complete including all loading, unloading, transportation and removing oil spillage during transporting by spreading sand, scraping the area all as directed with all labour, tools, tackles, transport etc. as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
Labour charges for cleaning of bottom plate, side walls and roof supports etc. by spreading earth, lime, sand etc. over the plate, scraping and removing the muck mixed with earth & sand etc. outside and transporting and disposing the same to melting pit or to any other pits as directed with all lifts and leads etc. complete including mopping the surfaces with kerosene which shall be supplied free of cost by owner at a suitable location with all tools, equipments, labour complete.
Residual crude oil transfer to other tank
Installation of (steel/flexible) piping (approx. 300 m), provision of suitable pump(s),installation, connecting and pumping of residual crude oil/ crude-water mix in the tank (approx. 5000 KLs) from all the water/ product draw offs to the nearest crude oil storage tank as per instructions of EIC/ Site Engineer along with required manpower, tools, tackles, equipments, consumables, non-consumables etc. to complete the work in all respects.
