DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS

Supply of alum ferric sulphate (Grade-4) (best quality as per sample) for purification of water (containing lead (as PB) 30 ppm max and arsenic 6ppm max) confirming to IS-299/2012 (Revised) as amended up-to-date complete all as specified and directed. Note:- The Alumino Ferric Sulphate shall be supplied in superior quality Bricks (Slabs) as per IS specifications.

Supply only O-Tolidine Reagent solution for chlorine estimate packed in glass bottle of 500 ml capacity complete all as specified and as directed . Make " Fisher scientific/Nice Chemical / CDH Fine Chemical

Material and labour for preparation of old painted steel surface and applying one coat of red oxide primer and two coat of synthitic enamel paint to all pipe lines, railings, any type of channel, angle iron, duct cover or any other metallic parts all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for cleaning of filter bed size 25.5x9.20x3.20 metres at Birpur Filter Plant by digging 30 cm sand, brooming down and scrapping all the side walls and bottom, including all valves, channels and wash out drain etc removing fungus, scales, dirt, sludge etc., taking out sludge from inside of tank and depositing the same at a distance not more than 100 mtrs and washing the tank inside with water and chemicals such as bleaching powder, caustic soda etc, draining out water and applying two coats of lime based white wash on internal surface and applying two coats apex weather proof paint over a coat of suitable primer on external surface of the tank, writing date of cleaning in white capital letters with sythetic enamel paint on black back ground, size of letters 80 x 10mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Description all as per item No 4 above but filter bed size 7.50x2.5x2.5 mtr at New Bijapur filter plant complete all as specified and as directed

Removing of existing filter bed/media i.e. gravel and sand etc. from filter bed of size 7.50x2.5x2.5 metre, Screening, seperating, cleaning and washing the gravels/sand obtained from filters for reuse and removing the soil to a distance n.exc 50m and applying two coats of lime based white wash on internal surface and applying two coats apex weather proof paint over a coat of suitable primer on external surface of the filter and painting water channel of filter with food grade paint after scruubbing the walls and channel and reloading the cleaned filter media in the filter complete all as specified and directed. Note : Extra quantity of gravel / sand required to top up the filter bed shall be paid under relevant item. Location - New Bijapur Filtration Plant.

Removing of existing filter bed/media i.e. gravel & sand etc. from filter bed size 25x9.20x3.20 metre , Screening, seperating, cleaning and washing the sand/gravel for reuse, refill the reusable sand/gravel after cleaning and removing the spoil to a distance n.exc 50m complete including side intake channel and painting the clean wall surface (Internal & External) of filter bed and channel with Apex Weather proof paint all as specified and directed. Location - Birpur Filter Plant Note : Extra quantity of gravel / sand required to top up the filter bed shall be paid under relevant item . Notes for sl item Nos - 4 to 7 : (a) The item shall include all type of scaffolding, supports, ladders, platforms etc. and safety equipments required for working in the sumps. (b) Internal surface of the tank after washing and cleaning shall be got approved from the Engr-in-Charge before carring out further treatment. (c) The tenderers are advised to visit the site to know the exact location, depth and condition of the sumps before quoting the rate.

Material and labour for laying gravels of size 25 mm to 40 mm in 30cm layers in filter beds including screening, cleaning and washing complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for laying gravels of size 16 mm to 25 mm in 30cm layers in filter beds including screening, cleaning and washing complete all as specified and directed.
