IPS anomaly rectification work in 28 inch SMPL-DBL under Viramgam base. Group-B WRPL, Sidhpur.

Coating on sleeving section of 28 inch diameter pipeline: Taking delivery of Cold applied tape material- 3ply/2ply type tape, primer, putty from designated store of owner at Viramgam and application of Cold applied tape using wrapping machines as per specifications /directions comprising of following activities/ jobs:- (A)Excavating in all type of soil including hard murrum and rock for exposing existing pipeline normally buried at 1.5 to 2.0 mt. Depth ( The depth may vary near road/ rail / river / nala/ cart track crossing) including keeping top layer of soil separately, bailing out of water, shoring strutting etc. (B) Removing of old coat & wrap with scrappers using wooden/ brass hammers etc. (C) Cleaning the pipe by sand blasting as per specifications and instructions of Site Engineer / Engineer-in- Charge. (D) Applying one coat of liquid adhesive fast drying synthetic primer over the cleaned surface with the help of good approved quality bristle type painting brush / spray. (E) Applying first layer of 3ply cold applied tape(Inner) for corrosion protection on the surface of primed pipe after touch dry with minimum overlap of 50% as recommended by the manufacturer followed by another second layer of 2 ply cold applied tape(outer) coating or as recommended by the manufacturer.(F) Backfilling of the trench after holiday detection test to be performed by contractor as per specifications. The contractor shall properly provide compaction of the backfilled earth & restore the worksite to original conditions.(G) Restoration of the ROW to the satisfaction of the Owner as per the direction of EIC or his representatives. OR Coating on sleeving section of 28 inch diameter pipeline: Taking delivery of Liquid Epoxy material, 100% solvent free, high build solid material from designated store of owner at Viramgam and application of Liquid epoxy as per approved procedure as per specifications /directions comprising of following activities/ jobs:-(A) Excavating in all type of soil including hard murrum and rock for exposing existing pipeline normally buried at 1.5 to 2.0 mt. Depth ( The depth may vary near road/ rail / river / nala/ cart track crossing) including keeping top layer of soil separately, bailing out of water, shoring strutting etc. (B) Removing of old coat & wrap with scrappers using wooden/ brass hammers etc. (C) Cleaning the pipe by sand blasting as per specifications and instructions of Site Engineer / Engineer-in- Charge. (D) Applying contarctor supplied Liquid epoxy material on pipe/sleeve surface with desired machinery/equipment (recommended by manufacturer) as per procedure recommended by manufacturer and directed by EIC to get smooth and uniform coating with minimum thickness of 800 microns.(E) Backfilling of the trench after holiday detection test to be performed by contractor as per specifications. The contractor shall properly provide compaction of the backfilled earth & restore the worksite to original conditions. (F) Restoration of the ROW to the satisfaction of the Owner as per the direction of EIC or his representatives.

Sleeving of Mainline Indirect Welding( Type A Sleeve): Fabrication, fitment, and welding for Full encirclement sleeves from owner supplied 28" dia pipes over pitted sections of the exposed pipeline including testing / inspection (DP/Tell tale test), supply of all equipment, consumables, labour etc. required to complete the work in all respects as per the specifications and directions of the Site Engineer/E-I-C. Pipes will be supplied by the Owner from Owner's Store Yards at Viramgam and shall be transported to site at the Contractor's risk & cost for sleeving of 28" dia line. Direct Welding (Type B Sleeve): Fabrication, fitment and welding of full encirclement sleeves from owners supplied 28" dia pipes over pitted sections of the exposed pipeline including testing/inspection (DP/Tell tale test), supply of all equipment, consumables, labour etc. required to complete the work in all respects as per the specifications and direction of the Site Engineer/EIC. Pipes will be supplied by the Owner from Owner's Store yards at Viramgam and shall be transported to site at the Contractor's risk & cost for sleeving of 28" dia line

EPOXY GROUTING OF SLEEVE: Supply and application of Metaceal or equivalent compund at ends of A type sleeve in the gap. Supply and application of compund between sleeve and carrier pipe ( pipe size of diameter 28") at pressure of 5-10 Kg/Sq.cm along with supply of pumps, necessary connection with valves, threaded fenale coupling, drilling of holes of requisiste sizes, including supply of labour, all material, tools and tackles/equipements, transportation etc and to complete the epoxy grouting in all respects as per the directions of Site engineer/Engineer-in-charge.

Excavation in all type of soil including hard murrum and hard rock for exposing existing pipeline normally buried upto 2.5 m Depth (The depth may vary near road/ rail / river / nala/ cart track crossing) as per specification / size of trench mentioned in tender including keeping top layer of soil separately followed by backfilling of the trench after holiday detection test to be performed by contractor as per specifications. Restoration of the ROW to the satisfaction of the Owner as per the direction of EIC or his representatives. This item will be operated for excavation other than item no 10 for excavation and entire coating refurbishment

Sand padding as per tender at rockey / murrum areas/ areas having soil resistivity less than 1000 ohm-cm as per instructions of SiteEngineer / EIC, as per drawing.

Supply and providing of owner approved Rock shield all around the pipe where hard rock is encountered. Rock shield shall be of extruded polyethylene mesh and meet the requirements specified in technical specifications. The application procedure of the system will be in strict adherence to the procedure laid by the manufacturer. The Contractor shall obtain prior approval from the Engineer-in-Charge for the rock shield material and its application procedure.
