Repairs and Renovation (Civil works) of Electrical Sub Stations 1 and 2 building in Colony

Note: 1) The firm/Contractor shall arrange all necessary safety equipments like warning boards, safety belts and barricades etc., during execution of work. 2) The useful materials obtained during progress of work shall be handed over to Colony Maintenance Department unless otherwise specified/indicated. 3) The bidders/firms have to check the site conditions prior quoting for the tender. 4) All materials & labour including scaffolding materials is in contractor scope and applicable to all the schedule items, unless otherwise specified in that item.

Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs & whereevr required etc. with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and necessary scaffolding rrangements and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge

Cleaning of reinforcement from rust from the reinforcing bars to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make with paint brush and removing loose particles etc., complete all as directed.

Supply and apply the NitoZinc primer of fosroc make to the existing prepared surface of reinforcing bars to protect from corrosion complete all as directed.

Providing building up of isolated damaged portions in ceilings, sunshades & whereever required using polymer modified cementations mortar with cement sand ratio 1:3 using Nito bond SBR/ approved equivalent at the rate of 7lts/ bag of cement to an minimum thickness of 25 mm to 50 mm over the primed surface usisng Nito bond SBR in 1:1:3 by volume (Nitobond SBR :water: cement). Repair mortar has to be applied before priming coat dries, if the bonding compound dried it should be re- coated and curing the repair mortar after competion of repair work with Nito bond AR (1 part of water by volume) as a curing membarance at a coverage of 8-10 Sq.m / lit cost including scaffolding & staging work up to 5 M height and wherever necessary, all complete as specified and directed by the engineer in charge.

Pressure grouting in to the base slab of existing building by drilling the holes and grouting the mixture of Fosroc chemicals like cebex 100, nitto bond SBR or nitto bond AR and conplast 4211c with suitable proportions as per manfacture specifications and then seal the pocket by using Renderoc plug matarial complete all as directed by the engineer.

Provide and laying water proofing concrete on old slabs to control the seepage / leakage of water into slabs. Water proofing treatment consisting of: (i) removing the existing bituinous tar sheet or removing the any top layer of damaged concrete / tile pieces if there upto required depth and cleaning of roof slab (ii) Application of Hydroproof Xtra acrylic polymer shall be mixed with neat cement in the ratio of 1:2 respectively, to obtain a uniform and consistent slurry avoiding any lump formation (Apply the mix with a short, stiff bristle brush like a paint to an approximate thickness of 1 to 2mm) over a prime coat of with Hydroproof Xtra in the ratio of 1 part of Hydroproof Xtra : 2 parts of Water : 4 parts of Cement onroof slab and on sides of parapet walls (iii) Providing and laying screed cement concrete in 1:2:4 etc., complete

Applying two coats of dampproof protect layer with Fosguard of fosroc make to the damaged areas of walls as per the directions of engineers incharge etc., Complete all as directed.

Providing 20 mm thick plaster with CM (1:4) with neat cement slurry finish to entrance steps and walls as specified and where ever required etc., including cost of Cement (PPC-Ramco, ACC, Ultratech, Nagarjuna & Jaypee) and all materials, tools, plant and labour, scaffolding arrangements and curing all as per specifications and directions of the engineer.

Providing Plain Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate) in flooring, plinth protection and levelling courses with 20 mm nominal size stone aggregate finished with a floating coat of neat cement with coloured pigment and cement slurry, etc. complete and including cost of Cement (OPC 53 Grade- Ultratech, ACC, Nagarjuna, Maha etc.) and all materials & men etc., complete

Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete work in nominal mix of 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-III): 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size), excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement and including cost of Cement (OPC 53 Grade- Ultratech, ACC, Nagarjuna, Maha etc.) and all materials & men etc., complete

Supply and providing HYSD bar reinforcement of Fe-500 grade of approved make Sail / Rinl / Tisco / Simhadri including transportation, straightning, cutting, bending and binding with annealed binding wire of 18 gauge (1.22mm dia) complete all labour and material etc., complete all as directed

Providing sal / igisha wood work in frames of doors and other frames, wrought framed, wooden rafters and fixed in position etc., complete

Providing and fixing 35 mm thick panelled door & window shutters of second class teak wood with anodised aluminum butt hinges of required size with necessary screws etc., complete (over all area of door shutter is to be measured).

Removing old paint by scrapping and sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. including necessary scaffolding and staging where ever required etc., complete all as directed.

Apply two coats of white washing with Suryace / Hi-Tech Gold to internal and external walls including necessary scaffolding and where ever specified by Engineer etc., complete all as directed.

Providing two (2) coats of synthetic enamel paint to structural steels, grill doors, rolling shutters and wherever ever required for wooden surfaces and steel surfaces (after removing the rust by using wire brush or sand paper for steel surface / clean the surface of wood) of approved brand (Asian / Berger / Shalimar / Nerolac) and required colour to give an even shade on old work / new work including applying suitable (red oxide primer on steel surface) prime coat complete all as directed

Supply, Fabricate and Fixing of MS Strutal gates and grill of approved make of steel from TISCo, SAIL, RINL, Simhadri using MS angles / square bars / round bars / box type sections etc., including required MS aldrops and MS tower bolts for doors and all welding consumables and equipment, labour and application of red oxide primer and two coas of synthetic eamel paint etc., complete all as directed by the Engineer Incharge.

Repairs to existing MS gates by removing the old gate and add required bars / flat bars / angels and refix the same in position after repair works etc., and also provide a required MS aldrops and MS tower bolts and hinges for gates and making good to the walls etc., including all materials and welding consumables and equipment and labour etc., complete all as directed by the Engineer Incharge.

Treatment of existing masonry and wood work by chemical emulsion @ one litre per hole at 300 mm interval and @ 0.5 litre per hole at 150 mm interval respectively including drilling holes at 45 degree and plugging them with cement mortar 1:2 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand) to the full depth of the hole With Chlorpyriphos/ Lindane E.C. 20% with 1% concentration etc., complete

Supply of 110 mm / 4 Inch dia UPVC(SWR) rain water downtake pipes (supreme/ prince make) conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, including fixing of clamps, bends, shoes and required drain traps/ filters at roof level to arrest the leaves etc. complete

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means / manual means in all kind of soils, not exceeding 2 metres depth including dressing of bottom and sides of trenches, clear from the edge of excavation including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50 m.

Supply & spreading of gravel of below 50 mm size uniform H.G Metal, spread uniformly on the whole switchyard area in 150mm thick. The preparation of the area for spreading of Metal surfacing shall be done in such a way as to clear of all grass, weeds, roots and all other objectionable materials. (a) A suitable chemical treatment on the switchyard ground shall be applied to arrest future growth of grass, weeds, etc. as per manufacturer’s specification and approval of the Engineer. (b) The first layer of lower size aggregate shall be spread uniformly and compacted to a thickness of approximately 40 mm. (c) The second layer consists of 50 mm. And 25 mm. Size aggregates mixed in proportion of 2:1 by volume, which shall be spread uniformly and compacted to the thickness of approximately 60 mm. So as to furnish a total finished thickness of 100 mm. of compacted gravel surfacing

Hiring of JCB for clearing the debries and levelling the surrounding area etc., complete

Filling of avaialble earth work / loose debries in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations and below the flooring etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, etc., complete all as directed.

Drilling of 16mm dia, up to 200mm deep holes using mechanically operated, hammer drilled diamond core cutting machine in RCC beams, lintels, columns and slabs to introduce steel bars for sunshades/ balconies including fixing the steel bars in position using grouting Lock Fix of Fosrac make or equivalent but excluding the cost of reinforcement (If required, welding is to be done to the existing reinforcement)

Supply & fixing Galvanised wire mesh of average width of aperture 1.4 mm and nominal dia of wire 0.63 mm after removal of existing mesh if any to windows and ventilators and where ever required including supply and fixing of wooden beeding of required size along the edges of mesh etc., complte

Demolishing brick work / RR work in cement mortar manually or by mechanical means without damaging remaining wall including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material to a lead of 50M etc., complete all as directed.

Construction of Random rubble masonry with hard stone in foundation in CM (1:6) below plinth level and in ground floor, including leveling up with cement concrete 1:6:12 (1 cement : 6 coarse sand : 12 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) cost of cement (PPC-Ramco, ACC, Ultratech, Nagarjuna & Jaypee) and all materials etc., (Stone will be issued free by HSL, Contractor has to collect fro Colony maintenance stores and transport to the site including loading and unloading of materials)
