REPAIR AND MAINT OF CHLORINE PLANTS AND SUPPLY OF CHLORINE GAS, CHEMICALS ETC AND CLEANING OF OHTS, UG SUMPS, SWIMMING POOL ETC AND OTHER CERTAIN ALLIED CONNECTED WORKS IN THE AREA OF AGE E/M (A) UNDER GARRISON ENGINEER (A) JAMNAGAR

Repair / comprehensive maintenance of gravity feed type chloronome plants of 0-300 gms / hour capacity to ensure proper functioning and 100 % serviceability of all the plants including replacement of all unserviceable spare parts including carrying out necesary repairs as mentioned below, Items not mentioned in list but required are deemed to included in the rates for item No1 :- Note :- (i) All spare parts shall be measured and paid seperately as supply only. Cost of labour is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (ii) Total chloronome plants to be maintained are 03 Nos for a period contract. A minimum of 1 No highly skilled technician will be deployed to report and attand and carry out the maintenance / repairs of chloronome plant installed at Filter plants on a daily basis to ensure 100% serviceability. (iii) Cost of all essential materials which are not otherwise specified in this schedule but are required to ensure smooth functioning of the chloronome plant are deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (iv) Adequate reserve for all necessary stores will be kept at the site by the contractor to avoid any delay in carrying out the repairs. (v) All T&P required to carry out the work at site will be provided by the contractor. Cost of the same is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (vi) Only skilled / trained techinian will be deployed by the contractor every day including holidays & sundays in a day shift (08 hours) to carry out the repairs and maintenance of chloronome plants and attand the plant on call in case of emergency . Adequate saftey precautions including proper gas mask kit will be provided to the technicians by the contractor. (vii) Proper record of repairs / daily maintenance carried out and duly signed by the Engr-in-Charge / JE will be maintained. (viii) All complaints in respect of chloronome plants will be attended and rectified on a daily basis. No payment will be admissible for the days when plant not worked. For a delay of more than 48 hours by the contractor in attending / rectifying the complaints of cloronome plants, a compensation of Rs. 500.00 per day of each plant will be recovered as a penalty for the entire period of unserviceabilty of the defective plant. (ix) Contractor shall visit and check the condition of plant before quoting the rate.

M & L for scrapping, scrubbing with mechanical scrubber, cleaning of internal surfaces to walls, floors, roofs, drainage system with fresh water cleaning by high speed jet pump,industrial vaccum clener etc of RCC OH Reservoirs with of 18 mtr hight staging, removing the accumulated sand/ silt from the chambers as described below and depositing where directed at a distance not exc 50 mtr complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge of following capacities and locations:-

RCC OH Reservoir with 18 mtr stagging of capacity 1.5 LG ( AD Centre, Old Pump House & OTM Area)

RCC OH Reservoir with 18 mtr stagging of capacity 0.20 LG to 0.35 LG (MAP, MH Jamnagar, New line & BG line Area)

Note for item No 4 & 5:- (i) Suitably blocking the incomming and outgoing wash out pipes for avoiding mud and foreign meterials deposited in the UG sumps & OH Reservoirs getting into pipes and chocking it prior to starting the cleaning. (ii) Bail out complete water remaining in the UG sumps & OH Reservior before cleaning the mud and other deposits. (iii) Manually remove deposited mud sludge and other foreign particles and deposit the same separately away from tanks in low laying areas and levelling as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (v) Disinfect the tank with FOA / WHO specified chemical and make the tank totally bacteria free. (vi) Apply a coat of black bituminous paint suitable for drinking water to MS ladders & other iron surfaces etc provided in UG sump, RCC OH Tanks etc including surface preparation. (vii) Writing of the date of cleaning of the UG sump & OH Reservoir with white letters on black background. (viii) Filling up the over head reseviors full and feed the affected residential/OTM consumers enough water to sustain during the resevior cleaning period. (ix) All safety precaution like safety belt, insurance etc shall be ensured by contractor before carrying out likes in OHT & other location (ix) All safety precaution like safety belt, insurance etc shall be ensured by contractor before carrying out likes in OHT & other location. (x) Remove the blockage from inlet / outlet over flow pipes, refill the tank with water and supply water at supply timings, ensure satisfactory distribution.

M & L for removing the plant/ root of any description size ,any location of over head tank external surfaces of walls by cutting & removing the roots completely spraying the suitable chemical in the removed portion to avoid re-growth & making good damaged portion to match the existing surfaces by PCC type (1:2:4) 12.5 mm graded aggregate complete all as directed by Engr-in-charge (chemical :-Gramxone or equivalent suitable chemical to remove/ destroy the plants/ roots)

M&L for wrapping steel wire mesh having 0.56 mm dia wire and 1.18 mm aperture to the vents 100 mm dia of under ground sumps provided for natural light, fixing the wire mesh with steel wire for protecting the unwated things entering into the UG sump including removal of old unsv one complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Painting of one coat of black synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer on vents 100mm dia of under ground sumps /overhead tank etc all as specified and directed.

M & L for cleaning, scrapping, scrubbing with mechanical scrubber, cleaning internal surfaces of walls, floors, roofs, drainage system with fresh water cleaning by high speed jet pump,industrial vaccum clener etc of clri-flocculator, clarifier and aeration tank of Filter plants by dewatering the tank, taking out mud/ sludge from the tank , deposits and debris from the walls & floor of the tank and flushing the tank after washing with bleaching powder solution complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Clarifier tanks of Capacity 1.0 LG (Water Treatment Plant No -I , II & III)

Aeration system and all water channel (Water Treatment Plant No -I , II & III)

M & L for scrapping, scrubbing with mechanical scrubber, cleaning internal surfaces of walls, floors, roofs, drainage system with fresh water cleaning by high speed jet pump,industrial vaccum clener etc of swimming pool of size 25.00 Mtr x 16.00 Mtr with driving area including balancing tank manually as described below complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge .

Note for item No 9 & 10:- (i) Suitably blocking the incomming and outgoing wash out pipes for avoiding mud and foreign meterials deposited in the Clari- Flocculator, Clarifier tanks etc & swimming pool & balancing tank getting into pipes and chocking it prior to starting the cleaning. (ii) Bail out complete water remaining in the Clari- Flocculator, Clarifier tanks etc & swimming pool & balancing tank before cleaning the mud and other deposits. (iii) Manually remove the deposited mud sludge and other foreign particles and deposit the same separately away from tanks in low laying areas and levelling as directed by Engr-in-charge. (iv) Clean the floor wall and roof of the Clari- Flocculator, Clarifier tanks etc & swimming pool including balancing tank by jetting water using rotary pressure jets, remove the sludge so deposited completely by rubbing the wall / floor with brushes and repeat removal and depositing (Approved detergent shall be used) (v) Cleaning of overflow drainage of Clari- Flocculator, Clarifier tanks etc, swimming pool with suitable chemical complete all as specified and directed (vi) Disinfect the tank with FOA / WHO specified chemical and make the tank totally bacteria free.

M & L for painting after preparing surfaces inner side OH Tank of different sizes, Clarifier, Clari- Focculator & UG Sump etc by scrapping with Wire brush and applying one coat of epoxy resign pigmented paint with mixing Ratio 4:1 (i.e Base paint & catalyst hardner) of make- Berger Epilux 78 High build or any other make duly certified by CFTRI, Mysore suitable for portable drinking Water to existing surfaces complete all as specified and directed by by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for fabrication of MS ladder from angle iron size 65 x 65 x 6 mm thick including cutting ,welding etc and painting two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer complete as in repairs all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply & Install of liquid chlorine gas conforming to IS-646 specification by in empty cylinder of 100kg capacity including testing. Note: i) Empty chlorine gas cylinder of capacity 100 Kgs (3Nos) will be issued by department free for filling chlorine gas extra cylinder required shall be arranged by the contractor . ii) Contractor will be responsible for any damage caused during transportation of chlorine cylinder and will make good if damaged without any extra cost to the department iii) Necessary arrangements will be made by the contractor so that at least two tonner of 100 Kgs is always available as reserve with the department in phase manner as and when required as directed by EIC. iv) Items rates deemed to be included for replacement of unserviceable cylinder valve (ISI marked), valve cap and testing as required all as required for filling of cylinders rent of cylinder. (In case issued by Department rejected by the plant authorities) v) Items rate deemed to be included for necessary testing of chlorine cylinder before gas filling and test certificate to be produced to department. vi) Empty cylinders shall be issued at filtration plant at Inf lines. Net quantity shall be measured and paid

S & F for Nylon rope made out nylon thread of dia 8-15 mm including removal of old unsv one complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only Calcium Hypochlorite granual having chlorine concentration level 60 to 70 % for water treatment which is a white to off white free flowing granular as traditional product in 45 Kg packing complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only Calcium Hypochlorite granual (Trichloroisocyanuric acid TCCA- 90) having chlorine concentration level 90 % for water treatment for swimming pool which is a white to off white free flowing granular as traditional product in 50 Kg packing complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only sodium hypochlorite solution of 6 % strength in sealed container all as specified and as directed. Make : As per E-in-C's Branch approved manufacturer.

Supply only Alum crystal Non Ferric type conforming BIS 260-2001 (2 nd revision) with 85% purity complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix suction sweeper brushes made out of nylon material on on wooden base suitable for existing suction sweeper including removal of old unsv one complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix heavy duty MS powder coated suction sweeper brush unit made out of MS base or Cast iron base box type size 2.5' x 3.0' with eavy duty nylon brush on wooden base including removal of old unsv one complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix 40 mm dia green/ white PVC Hose pipe flaxible on suction pump complete including removal of unservicable PVC Hose pipe from suction pump complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix PVC insulated sheathed multistranded copper conductor submerssible wire of size 3 core 4 Sq mm including removal of old unsv one complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix PVC insulated sheathed multistranded copper conductor submerssible wire of size 3 core 6 Sq mm including removal of old unsv one complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix for Chloroscope kit with PH kit measuring up to 3.0 PPM including removal of old unsv one complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and laying for Low density polyethylene (LDPE) pipe on walls floors with necessary fitting of size 20 mm dia including removal of old unsv one complete all as specified

Supply and fix for PTMT any colour high pressure stop valve with necessary fixing arranements of size 20 mm dia Low density polyethylene (LDPE) pipe including removal of old unsv one complete all as specified

M&L for carrying out Drinking water & Raw water for chemical and bactorigical test as per IS:10500-2012 viz,Colour Hazen units, Arsenic (as As), Turbidity NTU, Solids Dissolved (TDS) Mg/l, pH value at 25 Deg c, Total Hardness (as CaCO3), Calcium (as Ca), Magnesium (as Mg), Chloride (as CI), Sulphate (as SO4),Nitrate (as NO3), Fluorides (as F), Total Alkalinity, Detergents, Lead (as Pb), Sulphide (as H2S), at an NABL accredited lab and submission of test reports in 10 days time from date of collection of sample.

Note :- (i) Quotated rate deemed to include collection of Bore water, Raw water & Treated water frm military station Jamnagar locations in separate and transport of samples in the manner prescribed by the lab supervised by Engr-in-Charge. (ii) Govt approved laborateory will be got approved from the GE prior to collection of samples. (iii) Location and time of collection will be decided by Engr-in-Charge.
