Taking down carefully (copper/aluminum) point wiring complete of any type (batten/surface conduit) for light point, fan point, bell point socket point or power point complete with all fitting such as switches, sockets pendants regulators etc complete and making good disturbed surfaces of wall, floor or ceiling with plaster or tiles or roof treatment etc and finishing the surfaces with distemper/white washing/colour washing to match with the existing surface complete all as specified and directed.

Note- 3 run of 4 sq mm PVC copper wire and One run of PVC casing caping shall be measured and paid as one unit.

Note : (i) Taking down and refixing after repair work shall be measured and paid under Item No.42 above. Shifting of split type AC existing location/from MES yard to the new location by taking it after pumping filling and making good the opening of old location with cement mortor, applying treatment of wall to matching with existing colour and finish and making opening holes on brick wall at new location and gap well finish with cement mortor, applying finish to wall to match with existing colour of the adjacent surface , installation and commissioning with replacement of insulation of suction and discharge line complete all as specified and directed.

Shifting of water cooler electric driven single phase any make and capacity from MES yard/existing location by taking it after disconnection of electric and water line and refixing the same in any other new location including water and electric reconnection complete all as specified and as directed

Taking down existing street light fittings and S & F new high power energy saving LED street light fitting to ensure uniform distribution with die cast aluminium IP65 body and 48 W capacity including suitable fixing accessories complete all as specified and directed. Taking down existing unservicdable terminal box and S & F hot pressed moulded SMC junction/terminal box of internal diemension of 200x140x95 mm and hinged door,including 01 no 4 way connector 415V 63 A made out of polycorbanate or bakelite and 1 no MCB of 6 A with DIN bar,drilling holes for cable connections connecting incomming and or out going cables by providing cable luggs/glands of suitable size fixed on pole by means of clamps made out of MS flat iron of suitable sizes,duly painted with two coats of red oxide zince primer complete all as specifiedand directed. Supply and fix in repairs Float valve high pressure of PTMT with epoxy coated Aluminium rod & high density plastic ball screwed for iron pipe suitable for 20mm bore complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for cleaning underground sump of 50000 Ltrs capacity by draining/ pumping out complete water from sump, cleaning with wire brush for removing scales, algae etc from inside and removing silt accumulated at the bottom of the sump, flushing out , washing of inner surface using lime and bleaching powder and clean water with the help of pump or drain out as required, applying a coat of white wash for all surfaces of the UG sump from inside, painting and writing the date of cleaning and capacity etc in bold letters complete all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting existing overhead PVC water tank not exceeding 500 Litre capacity and Cleaning water tank with wire brush, cloth, bleaching powder, removing dirt, scale from the tank and from mouths of circulating pipes etc through drain pipe or by manually all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge (Tank shall be cleaned quarterly and writing with white paint over black base on the tank as "TANK CLEANED ON" with date with 5 cm high letters/ numbers and reconnecting and refixing in the same position after cleaning and testing for leakages of service tanks complete all as specified and directed.

Periodical maintenance / servicing of diesel Gen set of 200 KVA capacityt DG set kirloskar at ICGS Jetty Vizhinjam for smooth operation of generator sets and ensuring the serviceablity by renewing the defective spares, settings/ caliberation etc for the following capacity Model/ Make by carrying out inspection /work by an authorised dealer of OEM complete all as specified and directed. Engine Servicing /Gen overhauling :- (a) Checking the lubricant oil, topping up & changing filters if required (b) Checking the lubricant level and replacing if required (c) Checking of alternater, battery charging, fanbelt and adjusting/renewing if required (d) Checking/adjusting of sensers / controls of the Engine (e) Cleaning the cylinder head, lever, lube oil, gudgen pins etc (f) Draining fuel filter bowels to remove water/sediments and refixing with new gaskets after cleaning/ renewing the filters (g) Checking and tightening all external fasteners and arresting all leakages by renewing deffective nuts bolts washers etc whereever required (h) Checking and arresting leakages by tightening all lube and fuel/ hose connections by renewing defective washers (i) Checking of air filters subject to 250 hrs running or six months whichever is earliest for renewal (j) Cleaning of air filter assembly (k) Renewal of all external rubber parts including radiator hose pipes, sir clips/clamps with nuts bolts etc (l) Arresting all water /lubricant/fuel leakages (m) Checking of all engine parameters and ensuring trouble free performance (n) Removing unserviceable spares and fixing of new spares including testing etc

Alternator Servicing :- (a) Checking lubricant in the bearings (b) Checking electrical excitation system and repairing if required (c) Checking alternator insulation values and tightning the electrical connections etc (d) Checking circuits of various connections (e) Cleaning the slip rings/brushes etc (f ) Removing unserviceable spares and fixing of new spares including testing etc AMF Panel Servicing :- (a) AMF Panel shall be maintained for good operation with the existing components. Any components found defective will be renewed and paid under relevant item of schedule. (b) Removing US spares and fixing of new spares including testing etc Notes: (i) Spares, lubricant, coolant etc required for engine, main alternator & AMF panel will be measured and paid seperately. (ii) Charges for Major repairs / top overhauling of engine, rewinding of alternator, alternator major overhauling due to normal wear & tear will be out of scope of the work. However the damages caused due to negligence of the contractor will be made good without any extra cost by the contractor. Cost of minor spares required for proper operation of DG set and Control panel shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted. Note: 1. DHPP (N) required at the time of mainteance/testing will be issued by MES. 2. Labour charges for dismantling/taking down and replacement/fixing new parts as and when required. 3. Spare required shall be measured and paid separately.

Disconnecting the existing battery of capacity 12V / 180 AH from the DG set, taking it to battery workshop, draining out the complete unserviceable electrolyte acid from the battery, filling up with new Electrolyte acid to the required level, charging the battery, testing the battery for correct specific gravity, bringing back to the location, connecting to DG set, start the engine for satisfactory function all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Repairs to 24 V battery charging alternator assembly by removing, dismantling, replacing the unserviceable burnt rotor and stator assembly, assembly reaffixing to the engine and testing for satisfactory charging of battery all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per item No 172 above but of 12 V battery charging alternator.

Repairs to 12/24V self starter by removing, dismantling and taking it to authorised workshop and replacing unserviceable Armature including field coil tapping re-fixing to the engine testing for satisfactory function all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in repair complete Dry cell tubular type 12 V / 110- 180 AH and initial charging complete including inbuilt charger including required electrolite /distilled water etc and fixing as required at site to the concerned DG Set all as directed by engineer-in-charge. Make : EXIDE Model EL Plus or equivalent in LUMINOUS/AMRON

Painting of the following DG set after preparing the external surface apply one coat of spray painting by superior quality synthetic enamel paint of appropriate colour for engine, alternator, connected panel, base frame, radiator, battery stand, and cleaning the meter panel writting of MES No etc all as directed:- (a) 200 KVA capacity installed at Jetty ICGS Vizhinjam

(b) 62.5 KVA capacity DG set at ICGS Vizhinjam

Note:- (a) Contractors representative / engineer shall report to concerned JE E/M in charge of AGE E/M office at fore noon and after noon to collect routine/urgent works related to internal electric supply till completion of work. The work shall be attended by the contractor immediately. The contractor shall ensure availability of manpower equipped with all sort of petty items such as insulation tape, galvanised screwes, nuts, bolts, washers etc required to accomplish the job. The contractor will also ensure as availability of every type of requiste T&P items to his trades man. All routne / urgent job slip will be repaired and got signature of user's and will be deposited to JE E/M with in 24hrs. In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 8 hrs after handing over of routine / urgent work, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty caluse given here as under. (b) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by the Engr-in-Cahrge more than eight hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Charge shall handover the slip containing specification of work to the contractor by lodging the time and signature of contractor be obtained on slip. The contractor shall attend the complaint immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge with in 8 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in stand by for attending any routine / urgent works from the executive. If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of 8 hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Charge and the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the Engineer-in-charge. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 200/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforceabove as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. The decision of the Accepting Officer is this regards shall be final and binding. (c) The contractor shall maintain a record of all urgent work at and if the work is repeated due to poor workmanship, he will be liable to repair the same without any extra expenditure to the Govt.

Supply and fix Aluminium Air termination rod 12 mm dia single pointed 300mm long along with base plate welded at bottom of termination rod, of size 10 cm long fabricated out of 32 x 6 mm thick Copper strip along with making 9mm dia for fixing in fastners (wooden block) complete all as specified and as directed.

Fixing only in repairs aluminium strip 25x3 mm with saddle and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground complete all as specified and directed.

Fixing only in repairs GI Strip 32x6 mm with saddle and fixing screws etc from test terminal block to earth pit complete all as specified and directed.
