REPAIR TO RIGID PAVEMENT AND CEMENT CONCRETE PAVEMENT BY EPOXY AND FLEXOPATCH AT AF STATION JAMNAGAR NO.1

Note for All items of this BOQ : SITE FOR EXECUTION OF WORK :- Tenderer shall note that work shall be executed at Runway / taxi track / Tarmac & similar location. Site for execution of work will be made available to contractor on Saturday, Sunday, Holidays and non operational days or when Runway be will be made available by GE / Engineer-In-charge after consultation with users, due to constant operational commitment at Jamnagar station. The contractor will have to arrange his working programme accordingly. No claim whatsoever, for not giving the entire site, on award of work and giving the site gradually will be entertained. The contractor shall consider this aspect while quoting his rates.

M&L for repairing pot holes / patches etc in existing cement concrete pavements by cutting out damaged portion around the pot holes with mechanical equipment into regular shape, 20 to 25 mm deep, removing the loose material to a distance exc 250 metre but n.exc 500 m and cleaning the cut out portion with compressed air to remove all foreign materials like dust, dirt, loose aggregates etc, priming the pot holes / patches with special primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with modified elastomeric concrete all as specified and directed. Make: Choksey Chemical (Product Name "Flex O Patch") or equivalent of firm & products given in Appx 'B' to Particular Specifications.

All as per item No 1 above but depth of pot holes / patches exc 25 mm deep but n.exc 30 mm deep.

Make: STP (Product Name Shalifix EM) or equivalent of firm & products given in Appx 'B' to Particular Specifications.

All as per item No 4 above but depth of pot holes / patches exc 25 mm deep but n.exc 30 mm deep.

M&L for cleaning the surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with compressor air blower to remove all loose dust and dirt etc., taking out dust / existing material with compressed air and making the surface free from dust, drying the surface and laying First Coat by Spreading the solution of PME mixed with mineral powder ( if recommended) on cleaned surface by spraying machine and moping with a specially designed mopper to ensure a uniform finish surface. In first coat application with 0.6 Ltr (undiluted) PME diluted in 0.60 Ltr water to be applied uniformly on 1.0 Sqm area mixed with mineral filler as recommended by........

.......manufacturers of PME and ensure uniform finish of PME on flexible surface with mechanical application through spraying machine and using specially designed mopper for mopping the surface. The surface should be left clear for minimum 4 to 6 hours for drying the 1st coat. Applied quantity may be consumed on account of exhaustive penetration/consumption by the voids and cracks in the surface. All as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and directed.

MAKE : M/s Hindustan Colas Pvt Ltd , M/s L N Petrochem Pvt Ltd , M/s Ooms Polymer Modified Bitumen Pvt Ltd Note:- The tenderer shall take into consideration for the following points while quoting his rate for this item:- (a) Friction parameters shall be between 0.30-0.60 after application of PME. Contractor will make necessary arrangement for procurement of Portable Skid resistance Tester (PSTR) and carry out necessary testing as directed without any extra cost to Govt.

(b) The work shall be carried out only through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufacturer. In case of non availability of applicators, the approval will be obtained from E-in-C's Branch. (c) Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks upto 5mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer's instructions. Rate quoted by the tenderer is deemed to include the cost of the same.

(d) Two year warrantee of materials performance and application performance shall be obtained by the contractor from the authorized manufacturer's of PME. Warrantee will include the facts that structure will remain water tight & no further cracks will be formed, excluding damage caused by natural calamities. Permeability Test (ASTM D 2434) to be concluded on the surface prior and after to application of treatment. (e) A performance guarantee for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified.

All as per item No 6 here-in-before but for second coat with 0.4 Ltr (undiluted) PME diluted in 0.40 Ltr water to be applied uniformly on 1.00 Sqm area (Second coat will be applied separately) after drying and setting of first coat.
