Fabrication of Polyhouse-20 Nos. (Under TSP)

1 Construction Site of Polyhouse F.O.R.–20 Nos. will be constructed in Parsari & Merag villages of Joshimath. 2 Size Preferably Length = 18.2 to 19.0 m and Width = 5.25 to 5.5 m 3 Area Approx. 100 m² 4 Ridge Height 4.2 to 4.4 m 5 Side Height 2.5 to 2.6 m 6 Shape Hut Type 7 Span 5.25 to 5.5 m (Single Span) 8 Column Spacing 2.6 to 2.7 m 9 Galvanization Quality Complete structure made of hot dip galvanized steel tubular pipes with a minimum of 360 GSM (with Zinc coated on continuous procedure to meet the quality requirements or equivalent section confirming). BIS standards having wall thickness 2mm (i) Vertical Columns 60 mm OD × 2.0 mm thickness Hot Dip 360 GSM GI. (ii) Trusses/Arches 48 mm OD × 2.0 mm thickness Hot Dip 360 GSM GI. (iii) Front & Back Frames, Purlins and Brackets 40 mm OD × 2.0 mm thickness (iv) Fittings All members connected through nuts, bolts and clamps. Welding shall not be permitted. 10 Foundation Foundation pipe of 48 mm OD, 1500 mm length and 3 mm thickness (minimum weight 4.20 kg/m). Grouting shall be done with cement concrete mixture (1:2:4) using telescopic insertion of the column. A portion of the pipe shall remain visible above ground level. Pit size shall be 45 cm × 45 cm × 100 cm depth. Two holdfasts shall be provided in perpendicular directions at 20 cm spacing, starting 20 cm above the base. 11 Covering Material UV-stabilized 200 micron multilayer polyfilm conforming to IS 15827:2009 with minimum 85% light transmittance. Fixing of cladding material shall be carried out between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. 12 Fixing of Polyfilm Two-way aluminum (220 g/rm) / GI 0.6 mm profiles with locking; no wooden/PVC grippers. Profiles shall be secured using self-drilling galvanized steel screws. 13 Side Ventilation Both sides shall be provided with side ventilation up to 1.6 m height using 40-mesh nylon insect-proof net (preferably Nylon/Netlon). Ventilation system shall be provided with manual roll-up arrangement, universal joints and holding belts. 14 Bottom Apron UV-stabilized skirting film of 140 GSM on both sides. The apron shall be laminated on both sides, extend 0.3–0.4 m above ground level and be buried 60 cm below ground level. Minimum warranty: 3 years. 15 Door Single entrance door with two hinges, size 2.1 m × 1.0 m, single leaf type made of FRP sheets mounted in a suitable frame with complete locking arrangement. 16 Fasteners GI clamps, bolts, nuts and self-tapping screws of high tensile strength with minimum 120 GSM galvanization coating. 17 Insect Net 40-mesh UV-stabilized insect-proof net. 18 Rainwater Harvesting Provision shall be made for rainwater harvesting through PVC pipes of minimum 4-inch diameter, including lateral and ground support pipes with bends connecting roof gutters to ground level. Drainage gutters and end caps shall be provided. 19 Certification Structural and plastic materials shall be tested before installation and at handing over/taking over by NTH, CIPET or any recognized Government testing agency. Relevant test certificates shall be submitted by the manufacturer prior to the installation. 20 Site Preparation The firm shall be responsible for all land leveling, site preparation and head loading of materials from the nearest motorable road. 21 Standards Only BIS-compliant products shall be accepted. 22 Display Plate A stainless steel display plate of size 2 ft × 1 ft shall be fixed on the gate displaying "ICAR-VPKAS, Almora", Farmer's Name, Village Name, Year of Construction and other relevant details in Hindi. 23 Work Order The Institute reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of Polyhouses by up to 25%, depending on the availability of funds. The Institute may also issue work orders in full or in parts/splits. 24 Warranty Five (5) years warranty from the date of installation for the complete structure excluding polyfilm and insect net. Three (3) years warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for all supplied materials and installation works. 25 Roof Identification Marking “ICAR-VPKAS” shall be displayed on the roof using green-coloured radium tape. Each letter shall have dimensions of 5 cm width × 60 cm length.
