HILL SIDE CUTTING

Earth work in hill road (hill side cutting/filling):- Excavation in hilly area for construction of road in all types of soils & rocks with E&B and BLB as met at site true to lines as per plan, X section, L section camber, super elevation as required also including uprooting & cutting of bushes dressing of road surface to the required level and slopes with all lead, lifts and safe disposal of surplus excavated material at suitable dumping places by mechanical means/ manual means indicated in the drawing with out damaging forest and forest land, existing utilites including slip and boulder clearance during hill side cutting as directed by Engineer-in-charge.( KM 25.475 to 27.925 )

Clearing of land slide in hard rock requiring blasting for 50 per cent of the boulders and disposal of the same on the valley side (Using bulldozer) complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Construction of Embankment with Material Obtained from Roadway Cutting: Construction of embankment with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5

PROTECTION WORK

Excavation for Structures: - Earth work in Excavation foundation for cross drainage structures, retaining walls, breast walls & other similar structures in all types of soils and rocks as met at site with all leads, lifts and disposal of surplus earth as directed by engineer in charge including supply of all material labour, T&P etc. required for proper completion of work in accordance with the MORD specification.

Random Rubble stone masonry for structures laid in 1:5 cement & sand mortar by locally available approved stone and sand from approved quarry including supply of all materials, labour, T&P etc required for proper completion of work as per drawing & as per MORD specification for cross drainage structures, retaining walls, breast walls & other similar structures etc. as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Random Rubble stone masonry for structure laid dry by locally available approved stone, including supply of all materials, labour, T&P etc required for proper completion of work as per drawing & as per MORD specification for retaining walls, breast walls & other similar structures as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing & laying filter media as Hand packed stone filling in the back of retaining walls, abutments, wing walls etc. by locally available approved stone including supply of all material, labour, T&P etc. required for proper completion of the work as directed by Engineer in charge.

Cement plum Masonry with 40% plum & 60% 1:3:6 cement concrete including supply of all material, labour, T&P etc. required for proper completion of the work. As per drawings and technical specifications Clause 802, 803, 1202 & 1203 of MORD Specifiction.

Laying Cement Concrete Pipe NP3 (burried conduits) on first class bedding of granular material including fixing collar with cement sand mortar 1:2 but excluding excavation, protection works, backfilling, concrete and masonary work in head wall and parapets.

Providing and Laying of Mechanically Woven Double Twisted Hexagonal shaped Gabions (Zinc plus PVC coated), of size 3mX1mX1m with two diaphragms at 1m interval, having mesh opening 100mmx120 mm, mesh wire diameter 2.7mm/3.7mm, edge/selvedge wire diameter 3.4/4.4 mm and lacing wire diameter 2.2/3.2 mm. (The work includes filling boulders in the gabions).

CROSS DRAINAGE WORKS

Construction of Pucca scupper including catch pit with dry stone masonry, including supply of all materials, labour, T&P etc required for proper completion of work as per drawing & MORD specification as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Tubular Steel Railing on Medium Weight Steel Channel (ISMC series) 100 mm x 50 mm Providing, fixing and erecting 50 mm dia steel pipe railing in 3 rows duly painted on medium weight steel channels (ISMC series) 100 mm x 50 mm, 1.2 m high above ground complete as per drawing and technical specifications.
