| 1.01 | 1 Construction site of Polyhouse F.O.R.-20 Nos. will be constructed in Village: Alchuna, (Chanfi, Block: Bhimtal, District: Nainital) Uttarakhand
2 Size Preferably Length= 18.2 to 19.0 m and Width= 5.25 to 5.5 m
3 Area At least 100 (sq.mtrs.)

5 Arches overlap Minimum overlap of top arch over second (small) arch should be 600 mm to avoid direct rain entrance into the greenhouse from the vent.
6 Side Height 3.0 to 3.2 m

8 Column Spacing 2.6 to 2.7 m
9 Structure All galvanized steel is used and designed as per IS875 standards to take withstand wind speed 120 km/hr.
I Vertical columns 60 mm OD, 2 mm thick. Hot Dip 360 GSM GI.
II Trusses Bottom cord 38 mm OD, 2mmthick, without joint, Hot Dip 360 GSM GI.
III Purlins 42 mm OD with 2 mm thickness at ridge, gutter arch and 32/33 OD with 2 mm thickness for 2nd Purlin
IV Fastener High tensile strength and galvanized 120 GSM
V Door Single door with two hinge at middle, size 2.1x 1 m double leaf made in plastic/FRP (Fibre reinforced plastic) sheets mounted in suitable frame with complete fitting locking facility
10 Galvanization Quality Complete Structure made of hot dip galvanized steel tubular pipes with a minimum of 360 GSM (with Zinc coated on continuous procedure to meet the quality requirements of equivalent section confirming). BIS standards having wall thickness 2 mm
11 Cross Bracing Every 3rd column top to 2nd column bottom of both sides must be connected 42 mm OD with 2 mm thickness GI pipe to ground the wind load.
12 Cladding material U.V. stabilize 200 micron multilayer polyfilm conforming to Indian standard (IS 15827:2009) and also having minimum 85% level of transmittance. Fixing of cladding material shall be done between 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM
13 Fixing of sheet All ends/joints of plastic film need to be fixed with two way aluminum (220grams/RM) /GI with 0.6 mm profiles with a suitable locking arrangement along with a curtain top
14 Side Ventilation Both length side of structure to be fixed with 40 mesh Nylon Net (Preferably Nylon) upto 2.2 to 2.3 m height from ground as fixed with Polyfilm rolling system operational with Universal Joints (manual) with holding belts to protect from winds
15 Top Ventilation The minimum top ventilation should be 10% of the area of the polyhouse. The width of top ventilation opening is in range of 0.5 m to 1 m to be provided with fixing of 40 mesh insect proof net and a 200 micron UV stabilized polyfilm covering material. Roll up round with a worm gear for manual operation
16 Foundation pipe 48 mm OD 1500 mm length 3 mm thick weight 4.20 kgs/mtrs. Grouting of the foundation column with a cement concrete mixture of 1:2:4 using telescopic insertion of column is recommended. A portion of the pipe should be visible above the ground. Pit size 45 cm X 45 cm and 1 m depth. Two hold fasts are to be used in perpendicular direction at 20 cm apart in concrete starting from 20 cm from the base.
17 Bottom Apron Bottom Apron (Both sides across the length): UV stabilized Skirting Film 140 GSM. The apron plastic must be buried in the ground at least 60 cm from ground level. The apron plastic must come with 3 year warranty/ The apron plastic must be laminated on both sided and a height of 0.3/0.4 m above ground and 60cm buried below ground.
18 Rain water harvesting Provision of PVC pipe of min 5” diameter with the lateral and ground support pipe with bend should be made, from gutter to ground for collecting rain water from the roof top. Drainage gutter and end caps to be provided.
19 Certification Testing of both structural and plastic materials used in the greenhouse is necessary prior to installation and at the time of handing over taking over, to ensure compliance with prescribed quality standards. Such testing shall be conducted by National Test House (NTH), Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), or any other recognized government agency. The manufacturer shall provide the relevant test certificates prior to the installation.
20 Warranty Warranty for 5 years from date of installation for structure excluding net and polyfilm. 3 years warranty for all material and installation defects.
21 Members should not be wielded to one another, but fixed with the nut bolts
22 Tender should contain samples of all the products including polyfilm, insect proof net. square tubes, etc. with complete technical specifications.
23 The firm should be responsible for all land leveling works and head loading (may be upto 1km from motor road)
24 Products with BIS standards only are accepted
25 An steel display plate (2feet length x 1-foot width) depicting “ICAR-VPKAS, Almora” with Farmers Name, Village Name, year of construction etc. written in Hindi shall be displayed (fixed) on the gate of polyhouse.
26 If required, the Institute may increase of decrease the no. of polyhouses. The institute may issue work orders in splits
27 ICAR-VPKAS is to be written on roof of Polyhouse with the green colored radium tape (Each letter must have 5 cm width x 60 cm length dimension) | 20 | Nos | - | - |
