MAINTENANCE AND TESTING OF EARTHING INFRASTRUCTURE INCLUDING REMEDIAL ACTION FOR ACHIEVING EARTH RESULTS AT AIR FORCE STATION SAMANA UNDER GE (AF) NO.1 JAMNAGAR

Deployment of manpower, instrument, tools, and all connected accessories for testing of earth resistance of existing earthing at provided earth test point for each earth set by competent calibrated digital earth test meter electronic type along with accessories (earth rod set with Cu wire with clips) and recording the result dully signed with date by MES representative and contractor all as specified & as directed by Engg-in - Charge. NOTE:- Testing of each earthing shall be carried out at the interval of 1 months and measurement shall be carried each time separately and test result shall be maintained dully signed with date by MES representative and contractor.

Supply and fix in repair Heavy duty poly plastic Earth pit cover of HDPE material, green color,Bottom diameter ( OD 320 mm / ID 290 mm) of wall thickness 5 mm ,height 260 mm with top cover.

M&L for pouring Earthing Soil Resistivity improvement compound Gel, Enhancement compound Transparent Liquid Jel in 5 Kg packing all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Make -JJ Engineering / SM Infotech / Powertack

Brazing of copper strip of any size strip using brazing tourch suitable temp and using brazing rod all as specified and directed by Engg-in-charge.

Supply and fixing in repair copper earth strip of size 25 x 4 mm with epoxy insulators and fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminals to test point terminal including taking down old strip all as directed by Engr-in-charge

M & L for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 4 mm dia galvanised iron or steel wireall as directed by Engr-in-charge

Supply and fixing in repair Aluminium earth strip of size 25x 3 mm with epoxy insulators and fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminals to test point terminal including taking down old strip all as directed by Engr-in-charge

M&L for marking of earthing pit (GI earth / Copper earth / Chemical earth) with two or more coat synthetic enamel paint, colour & pattern as approved by the Engr-in-Charge, Letter size shall not be less than 50 mm complete all as specified & directed.

M&L in repair for Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60×60cm.× 6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less'than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, connected to galvanised iron strip 25x4 mm earthing lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 5 connected to earthing test point all as specified and including testing and taking down old earthing complete.

Material and labour of earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 3 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m deep below normal ground connected to copper strip of size 20 mm x 3 mm by means of bolts nuts check nuts and washer of galvanized steel, watering pipe of 20 mm bore, galvanised iron, light grade, and 40 mm bore galvanised iron light grade for earth wire protection including all excavation earth work in any type of soil, PCC pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 and RCC 1:2:4, type B1 for precast chamber cover 50 mm thick, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg / sqm), with charcoal, salt, funnel complete all as shown in the electrical plate No 3 of SSR part –I and testing on completion including taking down old earthing and complete. Note:- Quoted rates shall be deem to include for earth strip with protection pipe up to 7.5 M length.

Material and labour for tripod chemical earthing (comprising of three chemical earthing) as per drawing attached (Sketch No 01). The chemical earthing will have specification as follows :- (a) Copper electrode of wall thickness minimum 2 mm not less than 3 mtr length with not less than 75mm outer dia . (b) Fixing of copper Earth Electrode by drilling / boring 175 mm dia hole, 5.00 mtr deep in any type of strata, placing electrode in hole, return filling excavated soil by mixing min 10 kg GEL per bore and 75 kg Soil Resistivity Improvement (SRIP) compound as per manufacturer instruction (c) FRP earthing result display board 254 x 380mm made out of plastic material showing information related to type of earthing, earthing result, due date of testing along with fixing size 610mm height made of plastic hollow pipe of dia 20 mm.

(d) PCC earthing protection chamber for each earthing pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B1 for precast chamber cover 50 mm thick, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 kg/sqm) Make:- Powertrac/McML Earthing Solution/Ashlock. Note :- (a) The copper strip connection to each electrode and to the equipment will be measured and paid separately. (b) All other items are included for chemical earthing in the item except copper strip as mentioned in note(a) every other items is deemed to be included in the item. (c) The chemical earthing will be carried out by the manufacturer or its authorized representative on the site.

(d) The earthing result will be obtained for each electrode must be less than 1Ω. Otherwise contractor is liable to do chemical earthing to meet the result without extra cost if the results are above 1Ω. (e) Contractor must visit the site before quoting the tender to understand the difficulty and cost for carrying out the job in the station. It is important that contactor ascertain the quantum of work. (f) Contractor must produce the certificate from the manufacturer that chemical earthing has been carried out by manufacturer. The manufacturer must also mention the warranty for chemical earthing. (g) Extension strip from electrode strip upto 0.15 m height from GL to be deemed included in quoted rate including brazing (h) The contractor has to give in writing for 3 years minimum warranty for constant result of earth below 1Ω.

Supply and fix in repair 15 mm size UPVC half turn cock valve for UPVC pipe and fixed ISI marked complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in -charge

M&L for making test point by supply & inserting 40mm bore mild steel galvanized iron light grade tubes, 500 mm deep, inserting in natural ground of any strata, including supply & fixing 25 mm x 3 mm size copper strip of length 500 mm inside the tube complete all as directed by Engg-in-Charge. Note : 1 Run of pipe with one run earth strip will be measured as one RM for payment.
