SPECIAL REPAIR TO RUNWAY AT NAGTALAO

M & L for removing existing layer including SDAC n exc 100 mm deep undergoing milling process, the milling process is to carried out using specilized machines, milling process involves removing of top layers of asphalt/bituminous pavement using milling machine and smoothing to full depth removal for reconstruction including removal of material out of Def land complete all as directed.

M&L for laying and compacting 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) in patches as per site requirement, grading as per table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant, material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight and consolidating to required gradien and camber complete all as directed. Note:- The finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013.

Rolling and consolidating milled surface of WMM, not exc 15 cm thickness with Power of capacity roller exc 8 tonne n exc 12 tonne complete all as directed.

Preparing surfaces of WMM by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as directed.

M&L for applying evenly a prime coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion SS1 confirming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 1kg/sqm on surface of WMM as specified in Table 500-3 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer complete all as directed.

M&L for Premix Dense Bitumenous Macadam (DBM), 50 mm (Consolidated thickness) with grading 2 of MoRTH laid using 4.5% (Minimum) binder content by Weight of total mix with paving bitumen of grade VG-40 using hot mix plant spread,rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete using necessary mechanical electronic sensor paver and tandem roller of capacity 10-15 tonne and finished rolling with PTR (Pneumatic Tyred Roller) complete all as directed.

M & L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with Paving bituminous primer VG -10 at 3 kg per 10 Sqm complete all as directed.

M&L for 40 mm thick premix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC-II) using min 5.6% Elastomeric PMB 82-10 (Marshal stability 1000 Kg) binder by weight of total mix, aggregate gradation as per Bituminous Concrete Grading-2 of Table 500-17 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient as directed.

M & L for surface preparation and applying acrylic airfield marking paint suitable for runway markings, complying with the marking requirement of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Annex 14 Vol-I, for runway/taxiway/apron marking by using mechanical sprayer in two coats to achieve minimum 500 micron dry film thickness complete all as directed. Note:- The paint manufacturershall furnish test certificate from NABL accredited laboratory confirming compliance with speicified performance requirements and suitablity for airfield pavement markings.
