Soil investigation for Bldg by drilling of bore hole 150mm dia upto 06mtr depth in situ and laboratory testing in accordance with IS-1892/1980 (02 Nos for sub station) (A) Field Testing (i) Drilling of 150mm dia bore in moorum and rock from GL to 06.00 M below GL. (ii) Collection of disturbed sample their sealingan lebelling. (iii) Collection of undisturbed samples their sealing, waxing and labeling. (iv) Collection of rock core (v) Performing SPT at an interval range of 0.75 (B) Lab Testing (i) Liquid limit & plastic limit. (ii) Grain size analysis, specific gravity, unit weight and natural moisture content of soil. (iii) Consolidation test for consolidation properties. (iv) Shear strength test for shear strength parameters. (v) Chemical test for soluble chloride and sulphates based in local information and experiences. (vi) CBR value (vii) Triaxial compression test (undrained) on cohesive soils for C and Ø (viii) Direct shear test on non cohesive soil and determination of C and Ø (ix) SPT value till depth of exploration. (x) Swelling Index (xi) Any other details as deemed necessary . (xii) Any other details as spelt out by the garrison Engineer babina cantt during currency of contract.

Note:- 1. Soil investigation shall be got done by main contractor through the approved specialist and experienced agencies having necessary infrastructure and site lab for testing and analysis . The contractor shall submit the details of such agencies to the accepting officer for approval. 2. Rate includes all items of work s necessary for carrying out complete soil exploration work , collecting of sample, testing at any NABL accredited laboratory and field test result at submission four set of report need to be submitted. 3. Rate include for submission of detailed recommendation for shallow foundation & bearing capacity of soil (SBC) at 1.5/2.0/3.0 m depth Type of foundation and depth of footing be clearly specified. 4. in case very weak soil strata is encounted, recommendation about pile foundation i.e Type , dia, depth of pile safe load carrying capacity and socketting of pile into hard rock shall be clearly given in the report, also measures for ground improvement if required be included in the report safe bearing capacity shall be worked out based on N value shear failure and settlement area . 5. Video graphic record in CD/DVD (02 copies) will be required to submit as token of proof of execution at site.
