Excavation in earth work in hilly area all heights & depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by mechanical means shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiselling & wedging out rock ( where mechanical work is prohibited ). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawing or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge , in conformity with the requirement of technicalspecification for Rural Road, August, 2004 and clause 16.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling & stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites & safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner including arrangement of dumping site, trimming, filling of unevenness, blind age and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for smooth riding including all leads and lifts. The recovery for stones, whether useful or not for 6626.89 Cubic metres @ Rs. 170 /- ( Rupees One hundred seventy ) only per Cubic metre shall be effected on prorata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public & private property during the course of excavation shall be absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Earth work in excavation for structure in all depths as per drawing & technical specification for Rural Road August 2004 clause 305.1 including setting out, construction of shoring & bracing, removal of stumps & other deleteruious materials & disposal in all leads & lifts including dressing of sides & bottom & back filling in trenches with excavated suitable materials. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out rock ( where blasting is prohibited ). All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawing or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge hauling & stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites & safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner tramming filling of unevenness blindage & finishing of the road to specified dimension or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to sping seepage rain and other causes, it shall be remove by suitable diversion bailing out or pumping as directed and the area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of excavation shall be the whole responisibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his own cost in all cases.

Providing & laying cement concrete Mechanically mixed & Vibrated 1 : 6 : 12 ( One cement : Six sand : twelve graded crushed stone aggregate 40 mm ( forty milimetre ) nominal size ) for plain/ reinforced concrete work in open foundation complete as per drawing & technical specification clauses 802, 803, 1202 & 1203 including cost of form work & curing complete including all leads, lifts & carriage of materials, as per the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing & laying plain/reinforced cement concrete Mechanically mixed & Vibrated in Sub-structure complete as per drawings & technical specification clauses 802, 804, 805, 806, 807, 1202 and 1204 in all height Plain cement concrete grade M-20 ( Twenty ) nominal mix 1:2:4 ( One cement : two sand : four graded stone aggregate ) including cost of form work & curing complete including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts & other incidential complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing & laying reinforced cement concrete Mechanically mixed & Vibrated in Super structure complete as per drawings & technical specification clauses 800, 1205.4 & 1205.5, Reinforced cement concrete grade M-25 ( twenty five ) nominal mix 1:1.5:3 ( One cement : one & half sand : three graded stone aggregate ) in all heights including cost of form work & curing complete including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts & other incidential complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supplying, fitting & placing HYSD bar reinforcement in Sub-structure complete as per drawing & technical Specifications clause 1002, 1010 & 1202 including cost of binding wire including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts & other incidential charges & as per directionof Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing & laying flooring laid over cement concrete bedding ( Cement concrete bedding to be measured & paid for separately ) complete as per drawing & technical specification clause 1303, Rubble stone laid in cement mortar 1:3 ( One cement : three sand ) ( Cement concrete will be paid for separately ) including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts & other incidential complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Back filling behind abutment, wing walls & return walls complete as per drawing & technical specification clause 1204.3.8, Granular materials including carriage of materials within all leads & lifts & other incidential complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing weep holes in brick masonry/ stone masonry/Plain/ Reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall/ return wall with 100 mm dia (One hundred milimeter ) PVC pipe extending through the full width of the structure with slope of I V ( One vertical ) : 20 H ( Twenty horizonuial ) towards drawing face complete as per drawing Technical Specifications clauses 614, 709, 1204.3.7 including hauling of materials within all leads & lifts & other incidential charges & as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing & laying reinforced cement concrete pipe NP2 900mm ( Nine hundred milimetre ) dia for culverts on first class bedding of granular materials in single row including fixing collars with cement mmortar 1 : 2 ( One cement : two sand ) but excluding excvavation, protection wall, back filling, concrete & masonry work in head walls & parapets as per drawing & technical specification clause 1108 including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts & other incidential complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Preparation of sub grade by dressing to camber ( Earth work for the cutting involved for sub grade to be paid for separately depending upon the claiisification of soil ) complete as per HP.PWD., specification including haulage of materials in all leads, lifts & other incidential complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Consolidation of Sub-grade with road roller including making good the undulation etc. with earth or quarry soil etc. & re-rolling the sub-grade complete as per HP.PWD., Specification, 1990 Volume-I including haulage of materials in all leads, lifts & other incidential complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Stone soling properly hand packed filling interstices with Kharunja & consolidating with power road roller to the required gradient & camber including spreading watering & rolling of binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per Technical Specification clause 401, for Grading-I ( one ) materials including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts & other incidentals complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Construction of unlined surface drains of average cross sectional area 0.40 sqmt ( Zero point four zero square meters ) in soil to specified lines, grades, levels & dimensions, excavated materials to be used in embankment with all leads & lifts as per Technical specification clause 307 including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts & other incidentals complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing & laying boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4 mm ( four milimetre ) dia G.I. wire conforming to IS: 280 & IS:4826 in 100mm x100mm ( One hundred into one hundred milimeter ) mesh ( woven diagonally including 10% ( ten percent )extra for laps & joints laid with stone boulders weighting not less than 25 ( twenty five ) kilogram each as per drawing & technical Specification clause 1301, including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts & other incidential complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Painting new letter & figure of any shade with sythetic enamel paint black of any other approved colour to give an even shade as per Technical Specification clause 1701 ( i ) Hindi ( Matras commas & the like including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts & other incidential complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge
