Dismantling of the lantern carriage system from the high mast pole safely along with the luminaries.

Removing of the high mast pole from the plinth and re-installation after completion of repair/overhauling work safely by the suitable means of equipment.

Double drum winch : Supply and Fixing of double drum winch along with suitable bracket, Motorized and manual method of operation, With separate handle for manual operation, Each driving spindle of the winch shall be positively locked when not in use, gravity activated pawls. The capacity, operating speed, safe working load of minimum 750 KG, recommended lubrication and serial number of the winch shall be clearly marked on each winch. The winch shall be of self lubricating type by means of an oil bath and oil shall be readily available grades of reputed producers. The winch drums shall be grooved to ensure perfect seat for stable and tidy rope lay, with no chances of rope slippage. Bobbin and flanges should have enough physical dimensions so that rope shall not come out during up and down mechanism. The rope termination in the winch shall be such that distortion or twisting is eliminated and at least 5 to 6 turns of rope remains on the drum even when the lantern carriage is fully lowered and rested on the rest pads. S&F of chain, chain pulley, necessary SS D-clamps, Re-rings etc. A test certificate shall be furnished by the contractor from the original equipment manufacturer for each winch in support of the maximum load operated by the winch. The winch shall be type tested in presence of the reputed laboratories/ Institutions. Type test report shall be submitted along with the offer. Power tool for Winch: A suitable, electrically driven, internally mounted power tool, with mounting plate, with manual over ride shall be supplied for the raising and lowering of the lantern carriage for maintenance purposes. The speed of the power tool shall be to suit the system. The power tool shall be single speed, provided with a motor of the required rating 1.5 H.P (minimum). The power tool shall be supplied complete with suitable control. The capacity and speed of the electric motor used in the power tool shall be suitable for the lifting of the design load installed on the lantern carriage. The power tool mounting shall be so designed that it will be not only self-supporting but also aligns the power tool perfectly with respect to the winch spindle during the operations. Also, a handle for the manual operation of the winches in case of problems with the electrically operated tool shall be provided and shall incorporate a torque limiting device. The power tool operation shall always be through a separate torque limiting device to protect the wire ropes from over stretching. It shall be mechanical with suitable load adjusting device. The torque limiter shall trip the load when it exceeds the adjusted limits. There shall be suitable provision for warning the operator once the load is tripped off. The end constructions of ropes to the winch drum shall be fitted with talurit. The thimbles shall be secured on ropes by compression splices. Suply and fixing of suitable weather proof junction box, confirming to IP 66 protection class or higher, made of cast aluminium, shall be mounted on the lantern carriage as required to facilitate interconnection of designed LED flood light luminaries.

Construction of Earth pit station as per IS 3043 standard, with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60×60cm× 6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 meters deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 meters below normal ground level, connected to galvanized earth lead wire 4.0 mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel connected to earthing test point, with adequate quantity of charcoal and salt, with necessary length of earth continuity conductor GI strip 25X4 mm along with necessary length of GI 40 mm pipe for protecting earth continuity conductor, the earth continuity strip shall be terminated to the earth stud at mast & control panel from earth pit electrode. All metal works shall be bonded to earth studs. a watering pipe of medium class G.I pipe 20 mm shall be provided. The top of the pipe shall be provided with a funnel and a G.I. mesh screen for watering the earth all as specified or indicated including testing on completion.
